Yeah, I got a physical for the PS5. I'll just sit tight and wait, whether that's February after patch 3/4 or 'sometime' in 2021 for PS5 proper patch. More things going on in the gaming and wider world to worry about it. They can keep my £40 I paid for it, gratis. But I won't be a beta tester as it'll sit in it's box until whenever.
Now stands at a file size of 109.4GB after 1.04 patch.
I bet that there will be quite a few patches like this, maybe not daily, but a steady run of them over the next week or so.
If the CDPR team thought initial crunch was bad, I bet someone's spitting feathers somewhere, and they are doing nothing BUT pressured, intense patchwork.
So if they planned to have an early break before Xmas and then work on the DLC, that's gone right out the window.
Or, the deadline was always going to stick, so no more moving the game back, and to hell with it, they knew the PS4 versions were utter crap and just thought, 'oh well, that ship has sailed, we better just keep plugging the holes, that'll keep it afloat' "ICEBERG!! DEAD AHEAD". 🤣🤣

Hugely over promised, couldn't deliver day one, took months and months to repair.
I also remember getting ME: Andromeda about a year after it was released, and thought what was all the fuss? Now I get it 🤪🤪

A sad epitaph to the PS4 really. What did PS3 have in it's dotage? GTA 5? Last of Us? Shouldn't have been released on old gen. PS5 experience now suffering because of it, until 'some point' next year.
Agree with a few others on here that this is clearly a current gen, (PS5), game that's been hobbled to work, badly, on last gen. I call it current because if it were 'future' gen I wouldn't have one sitting under me tellybox. Fortunately, the PS5 version, whenever it's out, will be the optimum way to play, except for high end PCs. Feel sorry for PS4/4pro owners that will get an always lesser experience, regardless of any future patches. Mine was delivered and installed today, but having a blast doing NG+ on Demon's Souls, plus revisiting Playstation Collection to worry.
So at the very least, day one, looks like there IS going to be a big update.

Won't be booting it up 'til little'un in bed in the evening anyway.

Got 5 or 6 more areas of Demon's Souls to go.
Finished Miles Morales, (sold that on for £10 less than I paid for it), and dipping into the PS+ Collection, even though I already played all the 'decent' ones on PS4.
So it could be months before I concentrate on it 100%.

Muted volume, put Morales in performance mode. Then there is a slight hum of the fan, but certainly nothing to bother.
Only noise I have had is drive spinning up on game install.

If anyone got it horizontal could it be vibration through the 'fins'? The stand doesn't bolt on in the traditional sense, maybe adjust it a bit.
Just as a closure for my little self.. My Yodel estimate was 16:20 to 18:20. I was drop 101 of 138 for my driver! It was with me by 18:30. All credit to the driver, he looked a little harried as he was exiting my gate but I gave him a cheery "thanks!". Outer box was in perfect condition despite Yodels repu, (which I myself dig them out). Played a bit of Astro installed miles mor. Loving me PS5! So there we have it. I shall still be raising a dispute with GAME as 18:30 certainly isn't the pre-12pm guarantee that I paid for. So I'll be happy if I get the £12, even in credit cos I'll just buy PSN codes on GAME website.
We shall see, over the coming couple of weeks, once the customer services teams come off of furlough whether they will release a statement, or maybe, just maybe, give auto refunds of postage....
I honestly don't know how other retailers distribution depts/couriers fared today.
It would be interesting to know what the 'on release day' failure rate was across all channels. I'd guess, 10-15%. Just a ballpark, gut feeling.
On the other side of the coin... I got an email from GAME today, they have given over the PS5 to Yodel, (🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼), who will send me an email with a 2 hour delivery window tomorrow morning. Don't tell me, let me guess, it's 8pm to 10pm...

So I thought, might as well.. but couldn't log in to GAME account so had to check out as guest. As I mentioned elsewhere, was this because the site was getting hammered or a cynical move by GAME to lock us out of using our account wallet etc so we had to pay with 'new money'?? Regardless, time I finished faffing and decided what I wanted it all went through, (on credit card I might add, 'cos the way the world is going it wouldn't surprise me if GAME went bust, no way was I using debit card). Got the disk drive version with media remote, also, I was going to do store pick up but thought "what if UK goes into covid lockdown again?" So I did £12 tracked DPD delivery before 12pm on release day to home address. Email confirmation of order at 12:20am, so as soon as it went through, no waiting.
Checked everywhere else this morning, 7:30am, GAME site knackered, shopto seem only to be honouring 'register interest' customers from way back, Smyth's toys seem to be out of stock.
I have £225 in GAME wallet that is still sitting there, over time I will spend that on games, (won't last long at those prices!), or maybe second controller and charging dock IF.. GAME actually survive into 2021.
So to finish, (too late), it was pure luck I got an order in, if Amazon aren't releasing orders til 9am, everyone who missed out over night will go there and it'll be same thing again, and God knows why, (if it's true), Argos are doing orders from 9am Friday. That site will definitely crash as it's crap normally. 🙄

Physical. For trade ins/re-sell. Sold on the last of us 2, only today, for £4 less than I paid for it. Got around 26 hours of play for a loss of only 4 notes. Worst I ever get is a tenner loss on any game. And for the hourage I get out of them that's fine with me. Oh, and 4k blu ray, though that will be for absolute collectible films, like, oh I don't know, Porky's.
Same as reported by 2 others, bought it, got a padlock on it in themes tab. Won't recognise licence. Have tried restoring licences, still won't work. 🤔
