Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.10 "lays the groundwork for the upcoming patches" according to CD Projekt Red, and it's out right now on PS4 (and PS5 via backwards compatibility). It weighs in at a whopping 16.9GB on Sony's systems.
Update 1.10 looks to fix a load of bugs and hopefully, finally fix the game's consistent crashing issues. You can find the full patch notes below.

Ahhh.......
Well, a few hours from now, it's back to Night City!
I genuinely hope this fixes a lot of issues for people who are having them so they can better enjoy this great experience
I'm waiting for them game to actually be finished before I start playing. I wonder how long that will take, maybe till 2022? Longer?
I bought this game for $34 usd on Amazon. Still got a hefty backlog but hoping by the time I’m able to cue this up, I can play a few hours without incident and complete the game once the ps5 upgrade drops
"Includes Crash Fixes"
Yeah they promised that with every update yet it still kept crashing like every 2 hours
@Icey664 2077 the clue is in the title
45gbs... Unbelievable
Nice. I've been waiting for this before playing again. Had to stop due to several quest being bugged.
Patch Size: 16.247GB
Base PS4.
What's interesting is this is the same size, even a wee bit smaller, as all of the hotfixes.
They just seem to overwrite each other, since the actual size of the game hasn't changed much in my system memory.
I'm ready to go back (about 59 hours in) if they got the PS5 crashes fixed. Sadly, it doesn't appear that they did because it specifically says crash fixes on PS4. If anyone can verify and RE me I would appreciate it.
@ILikeStake
I'm not sure. It says that at the bottom, but up near the top it talks about stability issues in general and is not PS4 specific.
Hope it makes it smoother for you. It's a long download, but what have you got to lose?
@TheMysticOne
It better be freaking amazing by then lol
@LordSteev Maybe, but if they fixed the PS5 crashes, surely they would want to call that out? I don't know..I don't really care about the download size. You were right before that it keeps overwriting the files they are fixing. People will complain about anything though. You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
Some of you can wait till 2022. I'm waiting about 3 minutes and half a GB!
@Icey664 my thoughts exactly considering the dev team didn't expect the game to be playable until 2022. I wonder if the game will be playable when they reach version 1.99 or if they'll continue into the hundreds
I'm sure they would have made just as much money without any complaints if they called the release version "Beta 1", or early access with an ETA for the final version set in 2022
I've run a whole emotional gamut with this game. Intense excitement, initial impressions where I fooled myself into thinking it was acceptable, a growing unease with the game and now, finally, a bit of anger, actually (other things going on have left me with a shorter fuse than normal). Now when I load it up, I just feel sad.
Will be interesting to see how much this improves things. Hopefully it's a lot better!
@get2sammyb I'm waiting for the test results from you guys before attempting to play lol
@Danloaded According to @ShogunRok's initial impressions, he thinks the crashing may be solved — or at least dramatically reduced!
@LordSteev whoa, Lordshill! Pipe down! 😜 ...I’m just bitter because the hamster that runs my internet went and fell off the wheel tonight. Ah well, tomorrow it is then. Any improvements?
@get2sammyb @Danloaded Yep, played a few hours tonight with no crashes. Checked all the usual spots where it usually crashes consistently after extended play, and it survived. Will need to do some more testing and check out what other people are saying online first before jumping to conclusions though.
Having said all that, Takemura's still bugged so I still can't finish the game!
Wake me up when the PS5 upgrade is out.
@LordSteev and my silly comment now looks even sillier sandwiched between two impressions from the respectable folks who run the site 😂 but it sounds like good news! Can’t wait to jump back in...eventually
Not had one crash so far guys on PS5 been playing for a good 3 hours now & no bugs have pestered me 👍👍
Update 28th January it still crashes daily & the bugs are out again! I had a day of it working.
INITIAL AMATURE PROGRESS REPORT:
Wow. On a base PS4, I'm seeing colored atmospheric lighting that I was never able to see before, and it looks beautiful! Textures are sharper and have actual grit to them. Still have some pedestrians popping in, but I think that is because there are more of them. Also, some of the clothes they are wearing actually SHINE like they're supposed to.
Experimentally, I killed several random gang members, you know, for Science, and even when they died on top of each other, everything was easier to pick up. Didn't have to move any of the stacked bodies to get my loot.
Movement feels much smoother, almost like a whole new game. There's still work to be done, and I haven't played long enough to test some things (heck, I haven't even driven yet), but over all, they've come a long way, baby!
Hmmm might be time to buy it digitally oh wait its not in the store.
@ShogunRok On PS4 or PS5?
@ILikeStake PS5.
@Haida Same here. We waited 7 years, what's one more for the PS5 version? Unless I get Covid. Then I'm playing it right away.
@ShogunRok Thanks, that's awesome, time to be V again
Don't get your hopes up, I'm playing on PS5 and it's still crashing 😔
Seriously CDPR?
@Granny_Basher666
how long after playing did it crash? did you notice any other improvements? Did you get more than one crash?
@KundaliniRising333
About 40 min or so, definitely seems smother, driving seems to be improved.
The whole thing feels a lot better but with so many issues it's hard to tell to be honest.
NCPs general behaviour seems improved, no graphical improvements noticed but the frame rate seems better as well.
@KundaliniRising333. Just un-paused the game and it crashed lol.
Crashes NOT fixed on PS5. Rode bike around Japantown for 2 minutes and CRASH (not the bike). Game does feel smoother though, I was actually a bit surprised.. Guess we still have to wait to ride a motorcycle at top speed in Night City 😭
It's a start. Not the end-all patch but at least it's fixing some crashes.
@Ear_wiG. Same thing just happened to me riding a bike, 3rd crash in about 2 hours.
@Granny_Basher666 Yep. And still doing the stupid glitch where text gets stuck on the screen too. Keep ‘em comin CDPR
@Granny_Basher666
lol wow. Ok so its basically the same as far as stability is concerned.
Thanks for the updates.
Just absurd, it's important to remember that every patch has claimed crash fixes for the PS platform and I haven't noticed any improvement in crashing on the PS5 whatsoever. This level of fundamental instability is just sad.I hope that Sony keeps them off the store until the crashing alone stops.
I just can't imagine the thinking in releasing patches before something like consistent and persistent crashing is fixed. Not to overshadow the fact that the game itself is clearly unfinished and half baked all bugs aside...
CDPR deserves the reputation disaster this is, not just from consumers, but investors going forward. What went down here and in smaller scales with many other developers, needs to stop.
Thanks again to everyone for the updates, so I didn't waste my time testing this unfinished and broken mess again.
It’s a shame they are putting DLC ahead of PS5 version, I won’t be playing it until then.. but fingers crossed it’s all sorted by then and some of the missing content is there
Wasn't this supposed to be the patch that drastically improved the game? Only thing I've noticed is the frame rate is actually worse in some areas now, game still crashes, AI is still brain dead. Seriously this game is still years away from being finished. Time to uninstall to make room for games that actually work.
@mariomaster96 and surprise surprise, it's still crashing
I've been wanting this game for a while but have held off for obvious reasons. Is this worth buying now on Ps4 Pro or should I continue to hold off?
Ahh yes, those patches that are just precursors for more patches are the best!
@Smokehead69
same, this monstrocity is a 109 gb digital paperweight at this point.
@Gunga absolutely wait, its broken on every level, and not even available to purchase digitally for the ps4/5
It didn't fix my issue yet.. Still in a conversation 😭.. So I can't heal in the game since I am pressing the the arrow up to heal
Got the platinum earlier this week. I am glad I don't have to get back to that game.
@Matej So when this game was so bad for you, why did you completed it?
@Max_the_German Don't get me wrong, the story and characters were very good, enjoyed that. Just clearing districts for trophies was pain in the arse.
Does it fix CE-108255-1 crashes on PS5?
Whilst not excusing cyberpunk, having just got Spider-Man remastered I can’t believe the free pass that has basically had in comparison. I played for maybe an hour and had 3 hard system crashes with no sign of a fix. And that’s first party.
@Matej I never understood and will never do what people find in trophies. Do you do it for you or for others? My free time is to rare to spend it with activities which feel like unpleasant work while it should be fun.
it's already half price in retail..30 euros average..i will consider the game only for a ps5 playthrought and if it's fixed.
@get2sammyb I just saw it on sale for 30 quid (with a discount) and grabbed a copy, expecting to install it later today, and after all my initial excitement, I really hope it'll work- at least for a couple of hours!
@Max_the_German same. I'm so glad I don't feel I 'have' to get all the trophies.
I guess simply getting them is its own reward for some people, but I'm like you - I'd rather just spend the time I want to spend on a game and then move on, without stressing about finishing all the trophy stuff first.
Seems like a good start. Still a loooong way until I will purchase this game though. I don't even consider it released yet to be honest.
This patch did absolutely nothing for me. Bloody ritual is still bugged and I found at least 8 more bugs to add to my collection. Disappointing because the last patch was a month ago. Honestly, I've had way fewer issues with Baldurs gate 3, a game in beta phase, than this by now.
@Grimwood
How did you manage to keep the game?
Did you do it directly with CDPR refund page?
@ShogunRok sorry to hear that. Have to ask how is it holding up technically? Il play on ps4 (as ps5s are goldust right now) but different people have had different stories to tell on how stable it has been.
Appears my crashes were related to the 1.10 patch corrupting my game install on PS4 Pro. Probably when it's doing the 'Copying' bit.
Deleted and redownloaded the game and it has been running fine for hours.
And a new game breaking bug................
It's sad because this was mine and many others most anticipated game and it sucks. It's OKAY, but honestly nothing is memorable. All in all a huge let down. It actually sucks.
