@JamieO Gunlord X came out just under a month ago on PSN. Looks like a love letter to Turrican more than anything, might be worth a look if you're currently deciding on what to review next. I get the impression it's meant to be decent.
@JamieO Great stuff, thanks Jamie. I did read a review on this game a few months back. I was tempted but the relative shortness of it, the potentially low playing time put me off a bit. But you've persuaded me I really do need to play this. Definitely getting it the next time it's on sale.
Loved Midnight Resistance back in the day, thanks for another awesome review.
That's a strong list, I'm a little surprised by the omission of some titles such as the awesome Uncharted 4 or Bloodborne but I appreciate you're trying to represent as many genres as possible here.
I'm very pleased Spelunky is there, well done to whoever insisted that should be present.
The level of quality in this game really is incredible. A huge game, I completed every mission and all the dlc and was sad when I'd played all of it. I look forward to playing through all it again.
I gave this game a few goes and I'd rate it as a 4/10. It's just poor on so many levels, Apex Legends is far better if battle royale is your thing.
But it certainly has had quite an impact, no question about that. The fact it's been in the news so many times is testament to that. The real horror story here though is how badly the staff are treated on the development team, like they're subhuman.
Assuming the voice acting is decent, and it should be, I'll always stick to English. I'd enjoy that more than reading subtitles. If I want to read, then I'll pick up a book.
Well deserved I think, amazing game. Someone mentioned above this isn't talked about by sites much.
I'd say that is due to having no multiplayer or dlc, those sort of things get reported on a lot, just look at Destiny. Not having those doesn't make it any less deserving though, just less of a cash cow. That's no bad thing.
Gearbox have one popular overrated ip. Everything else they put out has been terrible as I recall. And most of us know how dishonest / unethical they are as a company. Disappointing.
Oooh, the psone, amazing times. My Dad told me we would be getting one, I was excited but didn't actually know what to expect. I just knew the next generation of video games could only be a good thing.
But wow, what an understatement. On seeing Tomb Raider loaded up for the first time with my family, I was absolutely amazed. And that feeling continued for quite some time, what an incredible game. My jaw dropped a few times at Final Fantasy 7 as well, they told one hell of a story there.
Respecting the competition is smart, Google have a lot of money to throw around, it would have been foolish to underestimate them. Wouldn't be worth risking the assumption that they would mess up the launch so badly.
The PSone introduced me to Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy (the best ones), Resident Evil, Command & Conquer, Tekken, Wipeout, Armored Core, Vandal Hearts, Xcom, G-Police, Castlevania, Rollcage and so many other amazing classics.
It still has the best version of classic Doom even to this day. And it had the best video game magazine ever created with one hell of a demo disc to look forward to each month. The PS4 is great, no doubt, but PSone is still king for me.
@JimbobLink I'd suggest starting a post by calling the author a hypocrite definitely leans more towards trolling than debate. Not that I'm wishing to pile on here but it's something to reflect on.
Back on topic, Spencer doesn't know his numbers it seems, either that or he's being disingenuous here. As for calling VR isolating, I would disagree. I don't think you can simply apply that notion to the technology as a whole, it comes down to the individual games.
Having played some of the party games on psvr with a few different groups, I can tell you they were in no way isolating. We could do with a few more party games on the platform though in my opinion.
I go where the best games are and Sony consistently wins there, Microsoft don't even show up to that battle as far as I'm concerned. Although they have got Obsidian now, so I suspect I'll miss out in not playing their games.
@Rob_230 @naruball It hasn't just happened to me, I promise you. They are indeed good, up until the point they make a mistake. The customer service is non existent when that happens, the price you pay for going with them. If you do manage to speak with them, they are always rude and unhelpful. Worth being aware of.
I feel the PS4's best year was easily when Bloodborne & The Witcher 3 launched back to back. 2020 may trump that, no guarantees of course. Plenty of big triple A titles have been hugely disappointing this generation. But I'm cautiously optimistic we'll see some fantastic titles.
I am incredibly angry about this, despite the fact it's probably been lost in translation. I'm going to protest by eating spaghetti bolognese. Maniacal laugh
@rjejr Haha, yes FF7 all day long. I'm definitely no fan of Fortnite but I'd personally have more fun playing that than Fifa. One of the most boring games there is for me.
There will always be some who are very resistant to change or anything new. Video games is one of those things where it's inevitable that things will move forward for better or worse.
With the amount of remakes and remasters we're getting these days it's clear there's plenty of room for both old and new. No need to be scared folks, the games you know and love aren't going anywhere soon.
Usually it's the indie game that I'm looking forward to but this month I definitely prefer the look of Nioh. No surprise I suppose, considering the avatar.

Hell's horses, Liam. Did you actually just besmirch the Emperor of Mankind, Foxy by suggesting he's just a random twitter account!!?

I'd watch that.

I wouldn't say no to a psvr game on there, that would be nice, assuming it's a decent one.

Re: Random: Trophy Hunter Creates Mural Dedicated to His Past 200 Platinums
