I played the original Turrican on the Atari ST but never had the skill to complete it, always ran out of lives. Soon perished after the vertical scrolling part you mentioned on 3-1. Still loved it of course.
No doubt had I been a better explorer and found more lives, that would have helped a lot!

Fingers crossed we'll see Midnight Resistance on modern consoles one day, you never know! I actually did complete that once.. by the skin of my teeth, haha.
I did get to play Blazing Fury recently, very good.

In regards to trophies, I like their cheaters don't win approach. For me, if a platinum doesn't require any skill, and can be easily cheesed, I don't really see the point in getting it.

There is nothing that gets me more excited for an upcoming game than the announcement of in game content being pay walled. Oh yeeeeeah.

Astro bot deserves more! Although I did vote Bloodborne, what can I say? It was a tough call.

I am considering giving Greedfall a go, sounds like quite a few people got on well with the narrative. Hopefully it's less buggy than it was reported to be on release as well.

I play Fall Guys now and then but there's no pressure at all to unlock anything in that, it's just good simple fun with lots of silly costumes.

Nice soapbox. Does the game have an option for password protected / private games? If so, that could be the way forward, just invite people you know won't cheat and aren't toxic. No doubt there's a few people on this site that would be interested in joining in.

Maybe it's yet to come but I would have expected the site to do a favourite games enjoyed on PS4 article now that the PS5 is out.. One good way to generate discussion on great games.

It looks a bit thrown together to me. The animation and facial expressions really feel off and there's nothing drawing me in. I'm expecting it will be rushed to meet that deadline but no doubt there will be some fun to be had by super fans.

All the souls games have an easy mode, you simply summon help. The assistance given from fellow players tends to make most of the game considerably easier.

I suspect this was also to optimise the game for the PS5.

I've been wishing for years for a video game with a great narrative that will allow me to zoom around the city on a kick ass motorcycle. So happy!

So.. what are the odds that Sony would actually accept this code and release it officially? I suspect they'd be too security conscious to take the risk but it would be great to be able to play Bloodborne at 60fps. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I can guarantee you there will be trophies for this game.

Definitely would have purchased this game on day one, so I'm happy I won't have to pay extra for it.

They're going for a different audience to be fair. Easiest way to explain it is StarFighter Assault is an arcade game, and SW Squadrons is a simulator, or as close as you can get to one on console. Also worth mentioning this game is designed very much with VR headsets in mind.

Managed 11, better than my average for these quizzes. Should have thrown some in for the PSP and Vita!

Azazel is definitely the worst Tekken boss.
The best of course being Tekken 2.

Absolutely loved their last game, Pyre. Very much looking forward to playing this.

I reckon it's still selling pretty well. Every time they create free content, it results in news articles like this, which generates interest, thus new sales. The cycle goes on and on.

Think we had one about a year after launch. Tomb Raider absolutely blew my mind, just incredible.

I had the Playstation mouse, had a third party one as well which wasn't as good, unsurprisingly. Got plenty of use out of it. C&C Red Alert and X-COM were both very popular in our house. Worked well on a few other strategy games as well. Still waiting for Sony to bring out another one, lol. Maybe one day.

Well, regardless of who donated the money, I think it's absolutely brilliant that Special Effect have received such a large amount of money, especially when it sounds like they really needed it. No doubt they will help a lot of people with what's been donated.

The costumes shown above could have been a lot more imaginative but, oh well! Plenty of others to choose from.

Definitely going to get this when they've fixed a few of the bugs.

I remember reading that there's a shotgun exploit. If you fire with it then change weapon and change back, it's far quicker than reloading the shotgun normally. No idea which mission you're on but might be worth trying it out? Apparently using that makes the final mission a lot less painful.

If you're fairly good at getting crowns, there's a relatively reliable way to cheese the trophy. If you quit out before the game 'eliminates' you, it doesn't count as a loss and the current win streak remains unbroken. That's why so many have the trophy. There's a thread on psnprofiles about it.

Will be interesting to see what improvements there are with this being next gen.

I think it's fantastic, it's such an easy game to jump into and it's a great laugh. I think if the devs are smart this could be bigger than Rocket League. Really looking forward to seeing what they add to it in the coming months.
