Enter the Gungeon has been around for a fair while now. If you hold any interest in roguelike games such as The Binding of Isaac, Spelunky, or Rogue Legacy, chances are you've given this game a shot at some point. It's a great example of the genre that's been kept alive with all kinds of updates and free DLC. However, what you may not know is that developer Dodge Roll has already put out a follow-up, aptly named Exit the Gungeon.
Currently only available via Apple Arcade, this sequel takes place immediately after the events of the first game, and has you blasting your way up and out of the titular Gungeon to make a heroic escape. It swaps out the top-down viewpoint of the original in favour of a side-on angle, but it looks like the frantic, bullet-hell style action is very much intact. The good news is that the game will be making its way to consoles "early this year".

It sounds as though we won't have to wait too long for this gun-obsessed roguelike on PlayStation 4. If the original game is any indication, Exit the Gungeon will definitely deliver a fun time. Are you excited to play this follow-up on PS4? Enter the comments and let us know.

Have downloaded on Apple arcade but haven't had a go yet. I liked Enter the Gungeon but I utterly suck at games like this - my brain just can't move and aim with different sticks in these games.
Great, I don’t have Apple Arcade and really wanted to play this one so I’ll pick it up on PC.
Still need to play enter the gungeon it's in my backlog!
I have this on apple arcade, it's pretty good
Enter The Gungeon's one of my favorite games of all time, I expected it to be a very good game but it completely blew me away with its seemingly endless supply of secrets, depth, and new things to try out.
I put almost 200 hours in it and I still have quite a few things to do and see.
Loved playing games like this on the Vita. Will be fun on the PS4 as well I'm sure.
Enter the Gungeon is one of my favourite games too. Absolutely loved it! I must admit that I'm a bit worried to read that the sequel is a side-scroller, but I guess I'll reserve judgement until I play it.
