That's fair, I often go with the buy it later when it's been patched plan. Good idea with this game, as good as it is, I'm not convinced it's been properly optimised for the ps5 yet what with all the pop up in busier areas.

That is interesting! Now that is proper old school difficulty. The last Armored Core game they made had a perma death mode for the campaign which had to be completed in order to obtain the plat. That was certainly an experience.

I usually summon for help randomly but decided on my first playthrough of the Demon's Souls remaster to do it all solo just see if I could. Managed ok but then I did grab the really good sword as early as possible so that helped.

Well put as always. But these games have always encouraged players to summon assistance if they are having difficulty, it's fair to say that is the easy mode, depending on who is helping you.

I understand not everyone wishes to play the game that way, but that's the way it's been designed.
The artist is very keen for his vision of a cruel, unforgiving world to show through and doesn't want the integrity of that vision compromised at all. Many are saying they don't want that experience, and that's fair enough, it's probably not the game for them.

And it's important to remember, that the game isn't meant to be for everyone. A product designed for everyone is unlikely to be very interesting for anyone after all.

I wonder what other creative works has so many making demands about what is and isn't included by the creators. Should be an easy mode for all books as well, surely? Don't be using any big words now, or the angry Internet will be after you.

Looks excellent. Not expecting one but I do agree, a physical release would be nice for this.

A few of the links for rating games are broken on my phone such as for Hyper Light Drifter, Axiom Verge & Super Time Force Ultra.

Will be interesting to see how long these contracts run for. Might give Sony a bit of breathing room to soften the blow a bit. Call of Duty won't be the most popular online shooter forever.

Put a few hours into this over the last couple of days, great fun. I love the atmosphere as you descent deeper into the darkness, trying to survive the monster swarms.

That mad dash to the exit can often be really exciting as well. Don't get left behind!
Has a bit of that Helldivers DNA, but this is definitely easier to play and more enjoyable overall.

Sounds like this is arriving a bit earlier than I was expecting. Nice to see an exclusive Horizon game on there, but you know it's really all about the Astrobot fun times. I know they will make a game for it that no one else can.

This is the best ps+ month in a long long time for me. I'm planning to download and play all three of these. Usually I don't download any!

you and me, both. Doesn't feel that long ago I was stuck into my PSP games.

You always knew when you saw Psygnosis flash up on the screen you were about to play something really special. What an absolute legend.

Great to see these retro games making a return, excited to see what we might get next, so many forgotten classics out there.

I'll occassionally hunt down a fun plat here and there but if it looks like work rather than fun, then I'll happily move onto the next game.

Loved the original Tomb Raider, 2nd game was great as well. Would love to see a remaster one day. The team went onto make Project Eden on the PS2 after that. Good fun, lots of fun puzzles.

Thor will be no pushover. Going by the mythology, he's stronger than any of the Greek Gods.

Sounds intriguing. I hope we're not playing an entirely silent protagonist if they're looking to tell a strong narrative.

Mass Effect allows you to create a character but with quality voice acting. For me, that's the most effective way of doing it. That would be ideal but I'm sure it will be great fun either way.

Great review! I've enjoyed the two free games in this collection, especially Ghosts n Goblins. I will probably get some more once they're on sale.

Always wonderful to be able to replay a classic on modern consoles.

Indeed, but then the word fan is a shortening of fanatic after all. Sadly awful behaviour by so called fans is not so uncommon these days.

It's not on the PS4 yet, tends to take them a day or so more for some reason. Not complaining though, as you say, that's some fast work on the patches regardless.

Can they not remake G-Police instead? Or Colony Wars? I don't feel this needs a remake.

Some fair criticism, the arm cranes were indeed rubbish and I would remove about 90% of the train yard, takes way too long, what a faff. There's a lot to love if you can ignore some areas that last far longer than they should. Wasn't super keen on the ending either but it is what it is.

Xcom Enemy Within is missing. Google states it's an expansion but it was a full retail release (only) on PS3.

Also a few games such as Dead Space wouldn't allow me to give a rating.

I had to redecorate the whole room, so everything was unplugged.

A shame that the plot doesn't go anywhere interesting, was quite hopeful after watching the trailer for an interesting and well written twist.

Looks like fun, count me in for the Vita version. Would be cool if it was cross buy as well, but not getting my hopes up too much on that point, guessing any initiative like that for the Vita is probably finished now.

You're right, I read the whole interview. He was simply explaining about Returnal being pushed back, it felt quite reserved to me considering what he could have said.

I do like a good developer interview, definitely more of that please.

I would enjoy seeing some fun competitions which involve the community here as well, with some small prizes for whoever wins. And not the boring comps where you visit a page, subscribe, retweet, etc. Something fun.
