Sony games are actually worth paying full price for, whereas Microsoft hasn’t put out an exclusive I’d consider worthwhile in, well, awhile.

The Last of Us pt. 2 is the greatest game I’ve played all console generation. Such a thought provoking tragic piece of art. Don’t give a damn about the haters, they didn’t even give it a chance. Bring on the HBO series and pt. 3 Naughty Dog, I’m ready to cry all over again!

Yikes.... 664GB of usable storage... when I’m finally able to find one towards the end of 2021 I’ll be making sure to save up money for a compatible 2TB NvMe SSD as well, because that probably won’t last very long...

Microsoft won’t put resources into their own in house studios so they gotta buy a publisher with a heavily tarnished reputation to compensate lmao! I hope Bethesda turns it around under the Microsoft umbrella, but I’m not buying an Xbox to play those games when I’ve got a PC that’ll smoke the Series X.

Bethesda got a lot to prove going forward, so I’m not worried about potentially losing them on PS5. I can play their games on my PC anyways.

Sony’s got a mixed messaging problem going into this generation that they need to fix. I love em to death, but they’re raising the bar in some places and totally dropping the ball in other places. Not a good look for a company that absolutely slaughtered the competition this generation.

Guess this means we’ll be seeing God of War: Ragnarok, Elden Ring, Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Halo Infinite and other big games that we didn’t get any updates on at all throughout the year at this event. Lame that we won’t see any more about these games until then, but it gives me a reason to look forward to the end of the year I guess.

Cue the inevitable outrage 🙄 I’m planning on buying the ultimate edition of Miles Morales anyway when I get a PS5 next year, so I’m not that bothered by this, and I own Spider Man on PS4 currently.

I’ve really had a strong urge lately to hop back into Bloodborne! If this is real, I might just wait and pick it up on my PC! 😁

If this acquisition means getting Bethesda Game Studios back on track so they don’t release any more crap games like Fallout 76, then I’m honestly fine with it. Microsoft surely won’t block games from coming to PS5 at all, as they would be missing out on an opportunity to make a ton of cash. I was planning on playing future Bethesda games on PC anyways, so I’m not that bothered by the news really.

I’m from the US, so a $10 price hike doesn’t bother me that much. I completely understand the frustration of people that live in other territories, but for me it’s not that big of a deal.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to replay the original, so I’ll probably get the Ultimate Edition when I pick up a PS5 next year.

I was planning on waiting until early next year anyways, but with the whole preorder fiasco going on where retailers just decided to randomly release slots right after the presentation, I’m glad I decided to wait. Probably wouldn’t have had any luck securing one anyways. Thanks for the heads up, Sony. 👍🙄

Microsoft hasn’t had nearly as many quality exclusives drop as they once had, whereas Sony knocks it out of the park constantly. I completely understand why Sony don’t take that approach.

I’ll be shocked if it actually arrives on time, but I’m sooooooo f’ing excited I can’t handle it! This was the one confirmation that got me screaming for more!

Good thing I planned on waiting until next year anyways. I’m avoiding the preorder debacle altogether and I can wait happily until more exclusives land and the console is more widely available. If I make a gaming purchase this year it’ll probably be a Nvidia 3080, and I might even wait on that.

I’d love for this to be a thing tonight, but it probably won’t be. Maybe next year we’ll get a trailer.

So.... what are early adopters supposed to play on their shiny new consoles then...? This is the exact reason I’m waiting until next year to get a console. 2021 is gonna be a crowded as hell year it looks like...

No way I’m playing this unless they turned it into an open world pirate RPG with online functionality. The way it was shaping up previously with it just being a ship combat game, it looked stupidly bland and uninspiring.

I can’t wait to see how the SSD in the PS5 compares to the two sitting inside my gaming PC. I think those little fellas load pretty damn quick, so I can’t imagine how this custom one’s gonna perform!

My gaming PC is literally like an Xbox Series X/PS5 on steroids, especially when I swap my 2080 Ti out for a 3080 next year, so why do I need to get any of the Xbox models going forward? Especially when Microsoft Studios games from here on out will be available on PC same day as the Xbox counterparts. PS5 is the only next gen console I need. Microsoft still has a lot to prove in terms of first party output, but when they do finally start putting out the big games, they’ll look ridiculous on my PC.

This is why I’m not in a hurry to get a PS5 until next year, most of everything they announced is probably a little ways off. Hopefully there won’t be a shortage of consoles in the spring when I’m looking to get one.
