This isn't just a gaming issue. This is pretty much the standard in even non-gaming IT projects. May sound distasteful but there really are other less stressful careers out there. It's 100% not for everyone.

Well, never underestimate the stupidity of the average consumer. Most people frequenting game sites, aren't that.

@PloverNutter Loved Witcher. This game just pushes you along and never quiet makes you feel like it's something you can't put down.

@somnambulance I love a good game, too, but also feel we are in price ranges where an 8 hour game is harder to swallow. I'd finish that in one weekend.

All sounds good but if I was a betting man this spinoff couldn't afford Judge as a VA. I won't take away from either man, they are both great, but judging from what Judge charged for autographs, etc., my man ain't cheap.

It's not a terrible game, just forgettable. Nothing really locks you into playing. Unlike other games, I never felt the desire to play just another 10 minutes before the next thing I had to do in life. This meant I eventually just stopped playing all together.

Returnal has been on my game shelf for years, never opened. I bought it on a whim but the premise doesn't really fit my style of play.
I'd need to actually play that one and for some reason I haven't brought myself to do it.

Not my cuppa tea. Hopefully other people who do like extraction shooters, buy it. I get yelled at by enough kids. Prefer my games solo.

I don't know if their marketing dept or game news media just set the hype bar so high that it could never jump it. It was really strange to see a game nobody had really never seen, receive so much attention.
Had none of that happened maybe this turned out to be just a good game, instead of the failed potential of GOTY everyone seemed to be making it out to be.
Someone has some 'splaining to do.

I think we'll get to a point where every game, that was ever a hit, has been remade or remastered. Just a matter of when.

That article title says exactly how I've felt about this game from the very first time I heard of it. It's gonna be a homerun or a miss.

I pretty much jump on AAA+ games day one, so it is most likely not impacting me. Not sure PS Store is first place I'd shop for slightly older games, but I also understand that for all digital owners shopping around isn't an option. One of the main reasons I went with a disc model.

Hope the team rises from the ashes and becomes very successful with one of Sony's competitors. The talent is there, Sony can't take that away from them.

A 7 was the ceiling of what I was expecting after the reveal. Way too stacked of a first half of 2026 to be dropping into 7s. Hope some people enjoy it, but nothing about this screams "buy me now"

I feel like the pandemic really stifled this generation and we haven't really seen the full extent of what this gen can do. Also, given RAM and other component prices, nobody really wants to think of an $800 console. (My guess of what it would cost if it was released in this environment.)

@Porco A lot of extenuating circumstances. I'm going to listen to this review, that acknowledges certain aspects and then judges the game on its merits

Honestly, this was the biggest disappointment I had watching it. Not because I think the game will be bad, but because I thought it would be a mainline game. Way too big of a tease to set this up. This looks okay... I guess?

If we stack it against the last few years, excellent. Didn't seem to be full of shovelware

Trails Beyond the Horizon. It's a great game but like all Trails games, it can be very long. Anyone able to play these games without the (thankfully added) High Speed mode, truly has the patience of Job
