Yakuza 3 Remastered Delisting

Just in case you didn't already know, Yakuza 3 Remastered will be delisted from digital storefronts from the 12th February, as that's when Yakuza Kiwami 3 launches.

To be clear, the remaster will still technically be available to purchase after this date — but only via the expensive Yakuza Complete Series Bundle, which is priced at a whopping £114.99 / $129.99 (although it does go on sale from time to time).

Still, the removal of Yakuza 3 Remastered is, frankly, ridiculous. Yakuza 3 Kiwami may be a remake of Yakuza 3, but it's not the same game, and so the decision to outright replace it is baffling.

This isn't the first time that SEGA and RGG Studio have dropped the ball with unnecessary delisting drama. You may recall that the original version of Yakuza 0 was removed last year, when Yakuza 0 Director's Cut was released.

But as alluded, the Yakuza 3 Remastered situation is arguably much worse, because it's a very different experience to the heavily modernised Yakuza Kiwami 3.

It's a deeply disappointing state of affairs, but the bottom line is that if you want Yakuza 3 Remastered in your library — and you don't want to buy the entire Complete Series Bundle — then you've got just 48 hours or so (at the time of writing this article) to grab it.
