Stranger Than Heaven Re-Reveal

It looks like Stranger Than Heaven is about to return in a big way.

In case you need reminding, this is the new property from Yakuza / Like a Dragon developer RGG Studio. It was first announced as 'Project Century' back at The Game Awards in 2024, and we've seen very little of it since.

Anyway, the game's already been confirmed for Xbox's Partner Preview showcase later this week, and now, RGG Studio's rolling out official social media accounts for the title.

In other words, the project's marketing machine is finally kicking into gear. This suggests that Stranger Than Heaven is the Japanese company's next major release.

Which would make sense, by the way, because a SEGA business report from 2025 said that the game was targeting a Fiscal Year 2027 launch (that's April 2026 to March 2027).

We're looking forward to seeing what RGG Studio's been cooking, because the developer has found itself navigating a lot of criticism in recent times.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 divided hardcore fans, and there's now a real degree of cynicism surrounding the franchise. We're hoping that Stranger Than Heaven comes out swinging, and refreshes the RGG's output much like the excellent Judgment did.
