@AhmadSumadi there's been several reasons but you do you. Maybe it will surprise everyone but haven't seen a single reason to believe that.

The fact this was, and was always going to be, a stinker... is not shocking. Movies based off shooters are going to be extremely hard to pull off. I never saw any sign that this would be worth even a streaming view. Some games are better left as games.

How many hours was it back on the Vita? Wondering if it's worth a reload.

@Splat Just personally, given the drought of similar games in this genre on the PS5, and an already substantiated quasi-mascot, I see it selling like hot cakes. If I had to guess, the future of Astro Bot on PlayStation looks bright indeed. Sony has struggled to have a Sonic or Mario level mascot, but I expect this may be a step in that direction.

A 45 second video with less than 10 seconds of gameplay. Kind of makes me wonder if it's heavily story driven. That would be okay, if the story is good.

Gonna be 2024s biggest disappointment... so far. Can feel it in my bones. Love to be wrong but there are too many signs and definitely one I wouldn't preorder, even if I ever did such a thing. I wouldn't be shocked if this pulls a 7 in reviews, but we shall see.

What won't be surprising is one of the top 3 being one of the most disappointing games of 2024. Willing to bet money on it.

They misspelled "discless wonder", if you ask me. I know there are those that would argue it but I think digital only will be detrimental to consumers. You aren't going to convince me otherwise.

I get the nostalgic value but just take some of those games like Nintendo is doing, along with everyone and his brother, and polish and shine them up for the PS5. Games you played on PS3 for hours and hours seem like a blast from the past, until you fire them up and none of the QoL or other more modern stuff is there.

Hope I am dead wrong but this kind of out-of-the-blue pre-game hype usually leads to something like a ~7 score. I'd rather you underplay a game and then me get excited because it's an 8.

@PuppetMaster Forgot about Death Stranding 2. Took me two years of having the first on my shelf before cracking it open. It didn't disappoint, and if anything was underrated.

The good news is it sounds like for the PS5 we got Astrobot, Astrobot, and then Astrobot to look forward to. Boy, the future of PS5 is so bright I might need shades!

I guess Sony didn't want the Xbox to be left in disgrace wearing a bag over its head and all by itself. I'd love nothing more to be wrong but gaming isn't looking so great right now and I'm looking more forward to the Switch 2 than anything on this list. (Provided they don't release a console with little to nothing at launch.)

Honestly, at least to me, this console generation started out with a bang and appears to be ending prematurely with a whimper. It had some barn burners and then used remakes and retrogades as crutches.

Go ahead and tell me how wrong I am, nobody wants me to be more wrong than myself. Nintendo proved me wrong because I thought the PiiU would be the end of their hardware days. I hope the rest of the industry proves me wrong and I'll eat that crow raw on a plate and ask for seconds.

@IamJT Probably right and I may be one of those sales but have to see the launch games first. Seems to me like Nintendo does have a habit of hit and miss almost every other generation. So, I'll be on the sidelines until I see a must play game or two.

Despite any sales numbers I do feel like this generation of consoles was slightly cursed. Switch had already been fully established years prior to the pandemic.

Oh man, just think of what we may have missed out on for games that never got past this kind of rejection, and then on the other hand, the ones that should have listened.

@Steel76 I'm not sure Dragon Quest 12 needed announcing, either way. I suspected it was a forgone conclusion for most. That it would never be made, would have been more announcement worthy.

I almost bit on this game but heard the single player aspect is less than stellar. I have no desire to play multiplayer anything...

Couldn't get into the first game, one of the few Steamworld games I can say that, this already looks better or maybe I'm just wishing it so.
