Re: Poll: Vote For the Best Final Fantasy Game on PlayStation

Yomogi

Gave VII, VIIR, VIII, IX, X, and Crisis Core a solid 10 star. The classic FF1 is also a 10 for me.

Type-0, XII and Dissidia 012 are 9 stars

XV is an 8 star

Lastly, gave the XIII trilogy 4 stars, AKA, the worst Final Fantasy games IMO

VII, VIII and IX will always be the holy trinity of Final Fantasy games for me during the PS1 era. I wanted to give X a 9, maybe 8 stars since it wasn't exactly a personal favorite of mine but I remember how good the story of X was and the characters are great as well so I ended up giving it a 10. FF1, I'm playing this a bit late on my PSP but I'm loving every bit of it so far and I have to give credit where credit is due. Then there's VII remake and Crisis core, which expands to one of my all time favorite Final Fantasy games and Zack is just as amazing as Cloud is.

Played Dissidia on PSP for countless of hours and I got to say that there's no other fighting games like this out there but I gave Dissidia NT a lower score since it is more of an arcade fighting game. Also played the heck out of Type-0 back then. XII is so underrated and and deserves more love. ]

I have a love-hate relationship with XV. I was excited to play this when I got my PS4 but finishing the game from start to finish was frustrating and that linear level near the end was so annoying. It doesn't help that a lot of what was shown in the trailers never ended up in the game. The open-world to me, while beautiful, felt empty. I gave the game a 2nd chance after a few months, ended up loving it for the most part and the Royal Edition made the game better at the very least

Then there's the XIII trilogy which to me, are the worst games out there. I tried to get into this trilogy but not only was the game linear (at least the first two) but I just can't get into the characters and the story.

Re: Action RPG Code Vein Ships 2 Million Copies In Time for Second Anniversary

Yomogi

This game has potential. I was skeptical when I heard this as another "Souls" clone but after playing the demo, I ended up liking it. It has some unique skill sets that makes it less of a Dark Souls clone and the boss fights are unique and challenging. There are some areas for improvement but overall, this was a game that I enjoyed from start to finish. Here's hoping for a better sequel. I'd give this game an 8/10.

Re: Best PS4 Metroidvania Games

Yomogi

Out of all the games on this list, only Symphony of the night is the only game that I've enjoyed the most since it came out on PS1. I also recently got Ender Lillies which is fantastic and I highly recommend

Re: Marvel's Wolverine, Spider-Man 2 Are PS5 Exclusives

Yomogi

This is good, saves them from the controversial upgrade fees and the last gen console won't hold this game back. I say this while still not owning a PS5 and still has a base PS4. Well, hopefully I can get one by late 2022, if not, early 2023

Re: Reaction: PlayStation Showcase 2021 Was Good, But Not Good Enough

Yomogi

Still no FFXVI and Persona 6. Wasted time on Death Loop and GTAV. But I still think that this was a good showcase. Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 were the highlights of this show for me. Project Eve looks promising and I might finally try the KOTOR Remake that a lot of people have been hyping up for years

Re: Sony Will Make You Pay Extra to Upgrade Horizon Forbidden West from PS4 to PS5

Yomogi

If Nintendo can get away with a $60 port of an old game with barely any changes then Sony can get away with $10 extra upgrade.

Joking aside, the sad reality is that no matter how much people complain on the internet, you know this game will still do very well on its release. Hoping that there is enough backlash for Sony to reconsider. I mean it worked when they decided to pull the plug on the PSN for PS3 and Vita

Re: PSN Hit with Account, Social, and PlayStation Store Issues

Yomogi

@Areus @WallyWest Well I guess you guys are lucky then, I'm having that licensing issue with my digital games on my PS4 (tried online and offline). Still, doesn't affect me that much since I can still play some of my physical games. Maybe this affected those that are already connected to the internet the moment that they booted up their system.

Update: RE2's dlc still works fine but yeah, the digital games are still locked because of licensing issue

Re: PSN Hit with Account, Social, and PlayStation Store Issues

Yomogi

@WallyWest I believe this affects even the digital games that are already downloaded on the console. I have a few digital games like Final Fantasy 9 that are already downloaded prior to this issue and for some reason, I cannot access them since my PS4 is requiring me to activate my account as a primary account, which is strange because I had my account primary on my own system. I tried re-activating it just in case but it's giving me the server maintenance error.

Re: Saints Row Reboot Faces Huge Fan Backlash, Devs Say 'We Are Not Backing Down'

Yomogi

I've only play a handful of Saints Row games. Can't say I'm a big fan of this franchise. I get that SR3 and SR4 became a little silly and doesn't seem to take themselves seriously (kinda taking some inspirations from GTA or something), which is fine but I don't know, that reboot trailer is looking like it's really trying too hard to appeal to everyone and it's cringe.

Re: Black Desert Dev Pearl Abyss Turns to Pokémon for Next Project

Yomogi

Been seeing a lot of comments comparing this to Pokémon but this is to me look more like Splatoon with Jet-set radio's style.

p.s: I get it, this is how Pokémon should have looked like in today's modern tech. Still, didn't cross my mind to compare it to Pokémon and the first thing that came in mind was Splatoon

Re: This Portable PS2 Is the Handheld of Our Dreams

Yomogi

The idea of a PS2 without emulation nor mods would be a dream come true. Playing Wild Arms 3, 4 and 5, Suikoden V, Dark Chronicles 2, Ape Escape 2 and 3, Zone of the Enders 2, Digital Devil Saga and the Fatal Frame trilogy on the go would be nice.

Damn, Sony. Fund this guy's project.

Re: GTA 5 Has Now Sold an Eye Watering 150 Million Copies

Yomogi

It's crazy but I have to admit that even I see myself getting back to GTA5 when I get bored of playing other games just for the sake messing around. I know we're all wanting to move on to GTA6 but Rockstar is probably just chilling and swimming in that pool of money that they made from GTA5 and RDR2 and taking their time with the next game.
