No love for Spartan: Total Warrior on PS2. Granted it was more of a spin off to the main franchise but I remember it being a lot of fun 😁

Lego horizon is good fun if a little repetitive in places. Personally had a good time with it. Given the hype when it released, I am most excited to try neon white of all of them this month

@djhegzy Totally agree. 'A fleeting dream' towards the end of the game is a masterpiece. Whole soundtrack is epic.

X is one of my favourite games ever - but second to my personal favourite FFIX. So desperate to see that remake 😪

Its a worthy debate, but there are pros and cons to both sides of the argument. I need to read the article to see how its framed, but a quick search only references water extraction in the context of plastic production, but not the vast amounts needed to cool data centres which is putting huge stress on already finite resources. You have to look at the whole environmental cycle and not only carbon emissions in isolation (albeit these are very important).

Played and thoroughly enjoyed stray. The perfect type of game for plus and hope it gives it a good audience

Its an excellent game. Enjoying every minute. 20 hours in and not faced the Oni yet.

Looking forward to exploring more of its world as it opens up. Might be false memory but the environments dont seem quite as exciting as those in Tsushima yet - although everything within the world has been a lot of fun to participate in and discover.

I will say i enjoyed open world traversal alot more once I realised I could turn off the cinematic black bars when riding my horse by pressing the R3 button. Didn't feel right as it was 😅

Had a great time leaving the critical path last night, finding the route up to Mt Yotei and just messing around up on the peak with photo mode. Thoroughly enjoyable just being let go to enjoy what they created

Undermines his argument to say players should have the choice though and then a couple of sentences later say they wont be giving players the same option in part 3. What is the concern here? That someone will rush through and spoil the story? Unless its changing dramatically, the game has been out since 1997, so the potential for spoilers is limited, even if the story is taking its own route to reach the same destination

Not going to pay much mind to a reddit post but IF it happens, I wouldn't be surprised to see another company (Tencent?) try to fill the gap.

Im not going to say im not worried about less competition in the hardware space - but I do think Sony still has to compete with PC, Nintendo, and other mediums (including smartphones etc). Its not in their interest to release a prohibitively expensive device (I do think PS6 will launch at a higher price than PS5 however as a digital only console, with an optional disc drive for another $100).

As for games, there will continue to be competition between developers on the console and I wouldn't be surprised to see more studios releasing 'smaller games' for lower prices ala the likes of Clair Obscura etc, as it has been shown that high quality games can still be made on a lower budget.

The future is certainly unclear however amd we will have some interesting years ahead

Preferred the blue Ragnorak one with the wolf on the touch pad I missed out on a few years ago. Won't be getting this. Just got the 30th anniversary one to go with my white, Spiderman, and astro one so don't need any more

This argument has been around for years and has never really made much sense to me. So long as the games are good, it doesnt really matter. At least there is a decent narrative hook to drive the story along. Keep em coming Sony

My copy arrived today. Just need to beat last boss on Clair Obscura and then will be getting on this. Very excited. Tsushima is one of my favourite games

@Porco Seconded. The guide to Japanese RPGs is a beautiful book and priced very fairly. If this had been a similar price I would have bought it, but this is simply too much. I've been hoping Bitmap Books do a playstation collab for ages.

I did buy the visual history of Playstation book by 2 Old 4 Gaming last year off kickstarter (he has been featured on Push Square multiple times for his playstation books), and that gives a good overview of the brand over the past 30 years.

I'm a big Bond fan and will no doubt be getting this. With that said, something felt a little flat in the trailer and I was disapointed to see all those red barrels. Plenty of time to iron out the kinks though and I will watch with interest

Im not defending the rising cost of Playstation - It's way too high and he is right that for younger gamers, its becoming unaffordable - but more broadly, people are not spending as much on gaming nowadays. I'm certainly not. Life is far too expensive these days and so people are being more selective on what they spend their hard earned money on.

Never thought i would see cold fear again. I remember reading about it in Official Playstation Mag. Might have to try it!

Has become the movie and soundtrack of the summer for my daughter. She loves it.

Moving in game time forward was seriously lacking from base release so that's helpful, albeit should have been there at launch. Doubt I'll play new game plus tbh. Too many games, too little time. Would like them to toggle level scaling on and off though. Seems silly levelling up to be stronger in certain areas, only for enemies to just get stronger too. Appreciate that ensures challenge throughout the game, but negates the point of levelling up your character.

I will be playing the dlc though. Looking forward to that 😀

Don't want to hear more, but I assume there will be a more coherent narrative than shadows. I love AC and have already put 70 hours into Shadows, but the main revenge quest so far is a little underwhelming after a great start. The various Shinbakfu members don't seem to have any concern members of their group are being taken out. I suspect ghost of yotei will be much more impressive in that regard

Square have remade pretty much every final fantasy to date in some form or another so it only stands to reason that the best of the bunch will get a remake. The character models in the 25th anniversary logo also look like they could be the character models for said remake to me.

I don't think we are far off an announcement in any event, but its most likely at a dedicated platform holder event than a random YouTube drop or social media post

When you see the news of mass redundancies, any opportunity to bring money to studios to avoid similar happening elsewhere can only be a good thing. And for a live service titles, expanding the player base should be a positive.

@Fiendish-Beaver the Power Rangers Rita's Revenge special edition comes with a steelbook, with no spindle for the disc to go into. Like what is even the point. It does include the disc in a standard case, but then what is the incentive to buy the collectors edition with the steel case at that point 😅
