Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

Nakatomi_Uk

Every game now will be full of MTs and LBs
They will be pushing for IPs to become live service to bring in money

They should sell off some IPs that would never take the Live service part and give it to someone who will maybe do good. I expect NFS to be an online game and he'll probably SSX with boards that you pay real cash with.

It prove who ran EA into the ground shareholders and leaches looking for a which buck, and unfortunately that's the entire gaming industry now

Re: Helldivers 2 on PC Sees Massive Reduction in Install Size Thanks to Sony Studio Nixxes

Nakatomi_Uk

Well I downloaded the Slim line Beta last night after quitting the game about 2 months ago, it'd 23.5GB in size which insane and realisation how stupid it was for them to do what they did based on a 10% mechanical HDD user base (according to tech data they saw).

Before all the patches in October it ran really good for me on PC with my Ryzen 5600/RX6600 8GB, 32GB DDR4 at 1080p. I was getting 80fps average everywhere in game even with the chaos going on from Strategems going off, then it was just tanking FPS after 10mins of play and I mean really really bad that it was also giving me input lag.

Beta version seems to be working great I still get the stutter during the hellpod drop scene, but now getting 80fps and I've done 4 matches last night. Also never checked if my GPU hotspot was as high on this beta compared to normal pushes it to 83 degrees at the junction spot (centre) which is fine and 63 outter edge

The big question is if they decided to keep that branch or swap it over wil patches just do it all over again. But I think they are going to keep the beta branch for SSD users

Re: In Destiny 2's Darkest Moment, Bungie Is Betting on Star Wars to Bring Players Back

Nakatomi_Uk

Destiny 2 problems started when they sunsetted content and then completely got rid of the base story a year after it launched. It made it difficult for new players to come in and for those who took a break

If you did the latter like me took a break you were left behind with "WTF" am I doing when you jumped back in. New players had to read the original launch story from cards they made it impossible to start from the very beginning and play your own way

You either play how they wanted you too or you didn't and just got lost in all the *****. Content is now lacking and was rehashed stuff over and over, they still sell Forsaken but now as a weapon pack and I can't see a Destiny 3 because most of the team that did 1 and 2 have gone. But don't worry Pete Parsons can choose a different car to drive each day or one to polish

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?

Nakatomi_Uk

PS5 has not been the best generation take in the factors of COVID, price, availability, development issues with games during that time. And a few choices from Sony themselves really had made this gen GOOD in my view.

There leap from PS4 to 5 wasn't that big and to be honest I wasn't expecting it as even GPUs at that time for PC really didn't either. Plus the fact Devs were getting lazy with optimization and pushing for what PS5 could achieve also played a factor.

Then PS4 had a far bigger user base at launch and they had to support that for many years which also held it back. I see 2028 the year for PS6 to be the best time to launch because PS5 really can have a good 3 more years and hopefully they will use it to it's full potential

Re: Valve Won't Subsidise Steam Machine, Expected to Be Pricier Than More Powerful PS5

Nakatomi_Uk

@tselliot For people who

1) Have an old PC and can't afford to build a new one
2) Have been curious to join the steam ecosystem but don't want the hassle of windows issues on top of pc gaming.
3) It's a console boots into SteamOS via big picture mode and your off

That's who it's for and it's a great idea, they tried it a decade ago but it didn't work they've timed it right for the market but not for the price because of DRAM spikes

Re: Valve Won't Subsidise Steam Machine, Expected to Be Pricier Than More Powerful PS5

@GamingGod Power doesn't mean ***** when you have an entire library of games already for it especially if your already tied into the Steam echo system. At this time for those like myself who wants to build a new PC it's impossible because of prices for parts, the S.M is a perfect way for them to upgrade have it under the TV to fast boot without any worries about Windows updates etc.

And perfect for those who want to join that ecosystem no paying for online, game sales are often especially the season ones. Can get keys from 3rd party stores nearly half the price and they will work fine, end of the day it's a one off payment for that all and you get Sony games and Xbox games as well

Re: Horizon Sales Update Cements It As One of Sony's Strongest Franchises

Nakatomi_Uk

@Dalamar Same as me got it on PS4 for a sale GOTY edition or whatever for like £12 I tried also but couldn't be bothered with it after so long.

Got it free with a PC part and but couldn't play it as it was a disaster if a port, decided to buy the upgrade version and try again early this year. I really can't get into it a bit like The Outer Worlds couldn't get into that either

Re: Sony Speaks on Bungie Acquisition Disaster, Takes an 'Impairment Loss'

Nakatomi_Uk

Pete Parsons and his motley crew took the piss out of Sony on this one, I would love to see if he paid himself some bonuses so he could get more cars for his collection.

The purchase was a joke it really was on top of that add the $400 million loss on Concord a game no one wanted except Herman Hulst and it's been a pretty bad year or more for Sony

They ended up paying $3.7 billion for a company that's isn't even what it was when they bought them. Little Pete Parsons sacked most of the talent while he made sure himself and his little friends kept their jobs. Now Destiny 2 on steam barely had 18k players as of right now 7.15pm UK time it's got 22k playing right now

Re: Hands On: PS Portal Is a Whole New Device with Cloud Streaming Update

Nakatomi_Uk

I'm really interested in one now because most of the week the main TV is used for Sky Q and my pc is on WiFi right now but remote play doesn't work with that like it did with wired (which I'll be doing soon). But R.P in in 720p even though my connection is brilliant and should be 1080p, but having it in my hands to carry on my games somewhere else in the house sounds great
