Every game now will be full of MTs and LBs They will be pushing for IPs to become live service to bring in money
They should sell off some IPs that would never take the Live service part and give it to someone who will maybe do good. I expect NFS to be an online game and he'll probably SSX with boards that you pay real cash with.
It prove who ran EA into the ground shareholders and leaches looking for a which buck, and unfortunately that's the entire gaming industry now
Well I downloaded the Slim line Beta last night after quitting the game about 2 months ago, it'd 23.5GB in size which insane and realisation how stupid it was for them to do what they did based on a 10% mechanical HDD user base (according to tech data they saw).
Before all the patches in October it ran really good for me on PC with my Ryzen 5600/RX6600 8GB, 32GB DDR4 at 1080p. I was getting 80fps average everywhere in game even with the chaos going on from Strategems going off, then it was just tanking FPS after 10mins of play and I mean really really bad that it was also giving me input lag.
Beta version seems to be working great I still get the stutter during the hellpod drop scene, but now getting 80fps and I've done 4 matches last night. Also never checked if my GPU hotspot was as high on this beta compared to normal pushes it to 83 degrees at the junction spot (centre) which is fine and 63 outter edge
The big question is if they decided to keep that branch or swap it over wil patches just do it all over again. But I think they are going to keep the beta branch for SSD users
@Sweetz Apparently they got that from technical data, but it's an excuse they just didn't want to do anything to fix it. I wonder if this is Sony stepping in and getting Nixxies to help because on PC players have dropped out from lack of content but mostly performance issues
Yet if you stay with the main game version they released a new patch today and it upped the install size from 134 to 155GB ?????
I'm downloading the BETA now seeing if they fixed the massive stuttering issues with the HELLPOD drop screen and then after 10 mins of playing on the main game branch. The game would tank in FPS and my controller wouldn't work and LAG big time
After the GTA Defective edition shambles why would anyone think they would care about the quality of re-releases when they don't it's all about GTA6 and profiting from anything they csn
Cities Skylines 2 launch was a disaster Console version seems to be delayed infinetly Colossal Order who made CS2 are leaving Paradox to do their own thing and now this
Destiny 2 problems started when they sunsetted content and then completely got rid of the base story a year after it launched. It made it difficult for new players to come in and for those who took a break
If you did the latter like me took a break you were left behind with "WTF" am I doing when you jumped back in. New players had to read the original launch story from cards they made it impossible to start from the very beginning and play your own way
You either play how they wanted you too or you didn't and just got lost in all the *****. Content is now lacking and was rehashed stuff over and over, they still sell Forsaken but now as a weapon pack and I can't see a Destiny 3 because most of the team that did 1 and 2 have gone. But don't worry Pete Parsons can choose a different car to drive each day or one to polish
OMG they haven't even fixed the performance issues yet players even said they would gladly wait for content in order for it to be fixed and again Arrowhead haven't listened at all.
I'm pretty much done with this game 200hrs on PS5 and about 250 on Steam I've had my fill, the performance on PC is shockingly bad and I've moved on
PS5 has not been the best generation take in the factors of COVID, price, availability, development issues with games during that time. And a few choices from Sony themselves really had made this gen GOOD in my view.
There leap from PS4 to 5 wasn't that big and to be honest I wasn't expecting it as even GPUs at that time for PC really didn't either. Plus the fact Devs were getting lazy with optimization and pushing for what PS5 could achieve also played a factor.
Then PS4 had a far bigger user base at launch and they had to support that for many years which also held it back. I see 2028 the year for PS6 to be the best time to launch because PS5 really can have a good 3 more years and hopefully they will use it to it's full potential
Microsoft wasn't slow it was planned to increase prices because I wants to 30% of reveune from the xbox brand. Everything Microsoft is doing is all planned for every increase in money it can get to fund it's A.I division and it doesn't like the idea that Nvidia are the No1 company for worth
1) Have an old PC and can't afford to build a new one 2) Have been curious to join the steam ecosystem but don't want the hassle of windows issues on top of pc gaming. 3) It's a console boots into SteamOS via big picture mode and your off
That's who it's for and it's a great idea, they tried it a decade ago but it didn't work they've timed it right for the market but not for the price because of DRAM spikes
@GamingGod Power doesn't mean ***** when you have an entire library of games already for it especially if your already tied into the Steam echo system. At this time for those like myself who wants to build a new PC it's impossible because of prices for parts, the S.M is a perfect way for them to upgrade have it under the TV to fast boot without any worries about Windows updates etc.
And perfect for those who want to join that ecosystem no paying for online, game sales are often especially the season ones. Can get keys from 3rd party stores nearly half the price and they will work fine, end of the day it's a one off payment for that all and you get Sony games and Xbox games as well
@Dalamar Same as me got it on PS4 for a sale GOTY edition or whatever for like £12 I tried also but couldn't be bothered with it after so long.
Got it free with a PC part and but couldn't play it as it was a disaster if a port, decided to buy the upgrade version and try again early this year. I really can't get into it a bit like The Outer Worlds couldn't get into that either
Got it on PS4 sale and then free with my Ryzen 3600 years ago but it was a disaster on PC at launch. I then bought £10 upgrade version but no matter how I try to play it I can't finish it so I've given up on it
With DRAM prices skyrocketing because of AI centres what do you expect then add GPU prices as well. Storage is also on the rise so that will effect the prices of what Valve pay for them to be manufactured
Im looking into a 2nd PS5 for upstairs as the one downstairs on the main TV is in use for TV, but it wouldnt mean my girlfriend can have her own and then we can co-op more.
Hoping for that near £300 price drop even if its the one with the lower original Storage I have A WD 1TB NVME black not in use
@EfYI Agreed and next year they will be pushing for more digital releases than physical, I also dont think that Perfect Dark cancellation has helped either yet another company thats been effected by MS profit and cancelling path
Pete Parsons and his motley crew took the piss out of Sony on this one, I would love to see if he paid himself some bonuses so he could get more cars for his collection.
The purchase was a joke it really was on top of that add the $400 million loss on Concord a game no one wanted except Herman Hulst and it's been a pretty bad year or more for Sony
They ended up paying $3.7 billion for a company that's isn't even what it was when they bought them. Little Pete Parsons sacked most of the talent while he made sure himself and his little friends kept their jobs. Now Destiny 2 on steam barely had 18k players as of right now 7.15pm UK time it's got 22k playing right now
@Robocod I don't even bother trying to browse the store because I'm fed up of the asset flip shovelware crap. There's proper good game out there and yet are pushed down the list from this crap
Still it's not their best generation because the issues it faced, COVID, demand, lack of units and price. As for games pushing it's AAAs a side it has been a lot for remasters which in turn are great but would loved to have some from forgotten IPs more.
I'm really interested in one now because most of the week the main TV is used for Sky Q and my pc is on WiFi right now but remote play doesn't work with that like it did with wired (which I'll be doing soon). But R.P in in 720p even though my connection is brilliant and should be 1080p, but having it in my hands to carry on my games somewhere else in the house sounds great
I really am interested in getting one for streaming purposes when I cant play on the main tv, Remote Play via PC is on and off because it always does 720p. Connection is solid but wont do 1080p unless you need a fking Pro like PS4 days
@carlos82 How do you get it to work I do have a PS2 chunky but the coin battery needs replacing and its right at the bottom and you have to completely gut it to get to it.
Its annoying that the time and date dont save but would love to play SSX tricky with enhancements
@Balaam_ Online trophies should be separate from the main list as extras and shouldn't be tied to the Platinum if they ever shut down the servers preventing you from getting them in the future
I don't bother looking at the store anymore if a game pops up on the first page I add it to my wishlist and then wait for it to be on sale. I hate scrolling through deals because of all the shovelware
I just re subbed again to claim Alan Wake 2 but my girlfriend is playing online games with her parents at the moment but as soon as it drops or I don't get to play much I will cancel again
They really should do a new Tekken Vs Street Fighter
Or
Since fighting games are on the rise we need Soul Calibur, Bloody Roar and Dead or Alive (which might not happen since Tomonobu Itagaki died but they could do a new one in remembrance) Hell even Rival Schools could do with a remake
@get2sammyb Th store is flooded with crap that's the issue, but it would be licensing issues which to personally honest needs modernization. Ever since PS3 and the store finally got off to a okay start many were wondering when with PS1 and 2 games come and ever since then till now they've dribbled out games for those platforms
