The word "collection" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
Finally after all this time.
Kept you waiting, huh?
@MrPeanutbutterz oh do bore off you miserable git
What one game? And something I’d never play from the psp and charge full price? Really
No thanks
Cool for MGS fans that never had the chance to watch MGS 4. PW never clicked. No crawling or sidling just borked the stealth too much for me.
They forgot Portable Ops for some reason. Still it is cool to revisit MGS4 and Peace Walker. Hopefully, they will rebalance Peace Walker a bit.
@Styledvinny79 it's MGS4, Peace Walker, and Ghost Babel
By the way I also love Ghost Babel, it is one of the best exclusive Gameboy Color games.
Finally MGS4 is free of it's PS3 shackles. Can't wait to revisit the game.
The Konami redemption arc is real.
That's a huge surprise! Glad to hear it.
Weird that Peace Walker is included because I remember that being included on the MGS collection back on PS3 (which didn't have MGS1 funny enough). They should've just made MGS4 Remastered its own full release imo
@Styledvinny79 It’s three games. I don’t know why they’re burying the excellent Ghost Babel like this. It’s just like how they never mention the original MSX Metal Gear games are included in most of the MGS collections.
And you really should give Peace Walker a chance if you like MGS games. It’s an exceptional one.
Peace Walker > Ground Zeroes & Phantom Pain. All day everyday
I always knew I'd only be buying this thing for MGS4 but it's kinda surprising 5 isn't in this collection. Not that I care since I hate MGSV. All I care about is being able to play 4 without waiting a fortnight for my PS3 to update. Bring it on.
And just like that, PS3 copies of MGS4 just dropped 99% in value.
…til we find out Konami fouled up something fundamental and it runs at 20fps on PS5 Pro, or something…
Why didn't they just release it as an add on to the current collection as a separate purchase you know they will charge a out £30 for this you know that right probably more
@dskatter was never a particularly valuable game to begin with but it'll probably go down
I’d rather have the ps3 version fund my pension in 25 years. Oh well, I’ll still have my copy of The Twin Snakes and that one will probably stay in GameCube prison.
@MrPeanutbutterz how is 3 games not a collection mg4,peace walker and ghost babel.
This is absolutely enormous for me. I nearly fell off the sofa. IMO MGS4 is Kojimas masterpiece and I’ve had that disc in my PS3 for so long waiting to start my platinum run. Now I’m waiting for the PS5 version!!! Can’t believe I’m finally saying that 😆
@HammerKirby3 I wouldn’t know, I’ve never looked into it. Still have my release day copy!
@MrPeanutbutterz you are literally what is wrong with the video game community
@dskatter I got a copy like 7 years ago but I still see it at retro game stores pretty frequently
Konami you are back with one hell of bang.. you sure kept us waiting
Just missing Rising...
Maybe we'll set a side-ops collection with Rising and Acid, yet.
@belmont It will either be in Volume 3 (which will happen, because Revengeance isn't on PS5 or Switch, as is MGSV for Switch - Acid games too maybe) or it will be announced later. I don't think they revealed everything for Volume 1 all at once. Might be misremembering, but either way, Snake's Revenge came back, Portable Ops should have it's time.
I just want to play the first one again. I don’t fancy buying the bundle and so don’t feel it’s worth it. That was the best ps1 game for me
