As was the case when Final Fantasy VII Remake was ported to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 just a few weeks ago, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also make the jump with some additional cheats and modifiers.
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi showed off the bonus settings menu on social media, highlighting all of the returning options as well as a new one. In the minigames, there'll be a toggle that allows you to always deal 9,999 damage.
All the Boost settings in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth port are:
Subscribe to Push Square on YouTube168k
- Constant Max HP
- Constant Max MP
- Limit Gauge Always Full
- Constant Max Synergy
- ATB Gauge Always Full
- Constant Max Damage
- Max Damage: Minigames
- 2x EXP & 3x AP Gain
- Easy Weapon Ability Acquisition
- More Materials Collected
- Constant Max Gil
- Constant Max Recovery Items
- Max Materia Levels
These Boost options made their way to PS5 on the same day Final Fantasy VII Remake released for the other two consoles as a free patch. There's no reason to doubt why the same won't happen for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on 3rd June 2026, when it's ported to Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.

I can finally PLATINUM Rebirth!
Those damn Hard Chadley challenges were just too difficult for me.
Makes Weiss in Remake and Yozora in KH3 look like normal boss fights.
I wonder if it will affect trophies? None of the cheats/assists seem to affect trophies on any the FF remasters (which is how I got my one and only platinum trophy for Final Fantasy I Pixel Remaster...)
@charliecarrot nope doesn’t affect trophies! (: free bound to use for trophy hunters!
Thank Christ! Maybe I’ll head back for the plat then. That damn final boss for the boxing game was the bane of my existence
It will feel so morally good to circumvent garbage trophy design by selectively using these.
I got the PS4 platinum for FF7R legit soon after launch and those horrendously tedious Chadley challenges were pure filth, along with Hard Mode’s stupid nonsensical gameplay restrictions. What a boring chore it was to slog through that crap. Booted up the PS5 version recently for a replay (trash trophy list aside, it’s a good game otherwise) and played through normally until the badly designed parts—I cranked the cheats on to speed though that slop. Felt great. Can’t wait to trample the intentions of whoever was responsible for curating the trophy list for Rebirth as well.
As someone who had to suffer through Rebirth's VR fights (trust me they are really unfun) I won't judge anyone if they choose to use these "cheats" to complete them
Can you still get trophies while using these cheats ? Seems like they would make hard mode a joke.
I can finally beat those Chadley challenges.
I got the plat for Remake without assistance, and shall attempt to do the same with Rebirth, eventually. It's not so much all the vr missions I despise, as the piano mini game that gets me. 😬
@danzoEX Nothing says "I have a trophy for a difficult thing" quite like checks notes using cheats to obtain it because you lack the requisite skills.
Makes a total mockery of the whole process.
Yes, finally I can go back to playing Rebirth.
This might get me to finally Platinum the game!
This ups the replayablity for me. Didn't realise all the remasters had this in too, makes me wanna go back and play all the FF I haven't played before!
Great for people who like to skip through games instead of actually playing them. 😉
It is cool that Square is including them on other platforms via update.
I might try these out just for fun to mop up the side stuff I couldn’t be bothered with before!
Weren't they promising improved lightening on the PS5 version of Rebirth with a future update? That's the only thing i care about, tbh
Is there an option to skip chocobo minigames? If not, this one stays shelved
@Gaia093 I love the idea of breezing through, the plot is important. I do require some level of progression though, so probably just the grinding limiters for me.(assuming i get motivated enough to retry the choco minigame in ch 11
Might use these to Platinum it.
@MrPeanutbutterz nothing says “I’m bothered by people completing a single player game with cheats” than those who it don’t affect whatsoever lol
I’m not out here streaming speedruns, playing for myself
if I want to use these cheats to get the platinum trophy from what I deemed literally too difficult for me to actually beat no matter what, I will and I can.
When Dyne morphed 3 times into a goblin creature I had already had enough of the nonsense. Rebirth did so much right and wrong at the same time its baffling. This new trilogy has entirely lost the point imo. I fear for FF9 remake
@MrPeanutbutterz did you ever think that SE allowing these cheats and not disabling the trophies isn't them looking inward at some egregious decisions regarding some of the games challenges?
Is there a cheat for the piano? I can do the piano if I only need to use 1 analogue stick, but having to use 2 and look at both of them at the same time is too difficult for me. My brain can on focus on 1 thing at a time.
Can I use these to beat Rufus?
When every reward is participation award, do awards still have any meaning?
I assume this update arrives in June for PS5 as well? I bought the game during the Christmas sale and would have liked to play it before summer, but having those cheats would be nice.
Sometimes accessibility is a good thing y'all. If you don't want to use a boost feature, no one is requiring you to. Some people play games to have fun, and just enjoy ticking all the boxes. It's not a competition.
@charliecarrot They never did in the previous games that added full ATB max Gill ect
@Balaam_ One reason why I got bored I got to chapter 9 wall market and I stopped but as much I love the original I miss the random battle between places. Their isn't many battles unless you go back and forth to areas to makes them come back to grind a few levels
@bizzysgs worked in other FF remasters/re- releases so probably will here too, a few other games have this before also, such evil within making you 1 shot everything etc trophies were still allowed
Please no extra trophies. It took me305 hours to get the platinum and I can’t be bothered to go back at it again 😁
@danzoEX It's a game, it's not that serious and I'm not bothered, but this is a gaming site, so I'm here to discuss the nuances of gaming. Cheating your way to a digital participation trinket that you didn't participate fairly to obtain is just a bizarre mindset to me.
As @Dalamar correctly points out, if everyone has it, then no one has . Again, it makes a mockery of the whole idea behind trophies. It's akin to going to an arcade back in the day and cheating your way to the top of the high score table. There's also a funny sense of entitlement to it all - you feel like you deserve it just because you want it, not because you can achieve it.
@MrPeanutbutterz I'm with you on this; accessibility to play a game that you struggle with, is a whole other point to having accessibility options that enable you to complete an intentionally difficult extra challenge, so you can feel you completed it, without having put in the hard work.
To be honest, I don't think it's a problem that certain challenges are too difficult for the average gamer; they're there to test the people who want to challenge themselves and who play at a higher level. Having a bunch of tools to take away that challenge just means the reward afterwards is worthless.
Case in point- who's gonna beat DMC 5's hell mode but the most skilled and driven players? Make it so you have infinite health, and it'd be a pointless addition to the game. Imagine Sekiro, or Sifu, awarding plats for beating the game if you could turn on infinite health. It cheapens the challenge, and the reward with it.
@danzoEX But why do you feel the need to chase the plat at all, if the challenge is too much to claim it without the assistance? Can't you accept that if something is too much, then maybe it isnt for you, rather than to feel that you need the trophy, and so must use "cheats" to get it?
To be honest, knowing anyone can easily get the game's plat without effort just puts me off even trying!
@danzoEX Lame... go earn it or don't at all. I couldn't beat the vr fights either but rather earn it eventually than cheat. Such a hollow empty victory.
This should def affect trophies. Every other game does so.
@J2theEzzo Thank you, I feel like I'm tripping reading the narrative that goes with this. It's like wanting to visit say, Japan, and getting the stamp on your passport without actually going there.
Funnily enough you mention Sekiro. I bought it at launch, and struggled with it. Did I want to get through it, maybe even platinum it? You bet, as I did the original Dark Souls back on PS3, and Bloodborne back on PS4. It was like a "stain" on my profile (not really, but you see what I mean).
I came back to it five years later, played for hundreds of hours and 100%'d it. It became one of my favourite games ever made. Now if I was wired like the other people posting here, I'd have turned on infinite whatever, breezed through it once and got the trophies, and then forget the game even exists.
Well, that makes a Platinum worthless for me so I'm not considering that anymore. They should have just disabled trophies for the cheats. That's how most other games handle such a feature.
But ultimately it's just a game so it doesn't matter either way in the grand scheme of things-.-'
But the cheats won't help you with the minigames and ESPECIALLY the Tifa sit-ups.
So, continue to enjoy your no Platinum trophy lol.
@@Nyne11Tyme Not really since the cheats won't help you on anything outside of combat. If what you claim were true, they would add an "Automatically win minigame" option too. But they didn't. So it says nothing about the game's challenges or looking inward.
@CutchuSlow : This just occured to me and it's mostly just a funny thought, but didn't you write that comment with 9-10 fingers? Then you're already capable of focusing on multiple things at once (:
@danzoEX What difficulty did you do Yozora on? I haven't done hard mode in Rebirth yet except to Under Junon and I'm not saying I doubt you but I had a pretty tough time beating Yozora on critical.
@MrPeanutbutterz For sure. Super Meat Boy is hard by design; it's not quite my thing, so I won't bother with trying to beat it, let alone go for the trophies. But imagine if I felt so entitled to the platinum trophy, I used cheats that meant I'd never die, and beat the game... it's not really the same as actually improving and conquering the intentionally hard challenge, is it?
The thing is, unlike Sekiro, or SMB, you can beat FF7 on any difficulty, using cheats or not, and see the end of the game- the extra challenges don't add anything; it's all for self satisfaction. Not so with the former, where the ending is locked behind getting good at the game and struggling through, without cheats.
So, are people suggesting Sekiro should give everyone cheats so that they can beat the game's hardest (optional) challenges too? Because they deserve the plat just as much as you, right - even if the game is already too hard for them?
People can play games however they want? Its not like they are hacking the games, these are add ons from the actual developers so who cares?
@J2theEzzo The piano mini games is maddening!
@McBurn who types with 9 to 10 fingers? 🤔
I type with 1 finger. N I meant on the screen. I have to look at the right side of the screen. Then look at the left. So I usually miss it coz I don't see it. And I can't look at both of them at the same time. In another game, the keyboard is much easier than a controller. So maybe I should use a keyboard on this game. If I ever return to it.
@CutchuSlow: Fair enough. Haven't thought that through it seems. I always visit the site on my laptop and therefore type on keyboard xD
Maybe it helps to make the screen smaller, then you can see both sides without having to focus on one or the other. It your TV/monitor can do that. At least that's what helped me a bunch.
@danzoEX My problem wasn’t with Chadley, it was the mini gym game. I don’t know what it was, I just couldn’t get it done. So I gave up on the platinum. Haha. I doubt any of these “cheats” will help me with that. 🤯
I'll be playing this one on Xbox with 9,999 damage turned on!
@McBurn EXACTLY! He is concentrating on at least 10 things to write the post: his 10 fingers! If he is looking at his keyboard or monitor he might even be concentrating on 11 or 12 things at once.
