I'm honestly not sure yet. I platinumed Ghost of Yotei the other day and now I'm in that post great game blues. I'll probably end up poking at Honkai and FFXI
It's on the list, back to the backlog now I've Platinumed Yotei... Well back to the spoopy games, some of which I've already played before THEN back to the backlog.
Same as last week - Ghost of Yotei and Final Fantasy XI
I was tempted to download the Arc Raiders server smash, but none of my usual cohort are available and doing any form of PVP solo is my idea of a bad time.
I'm hoping we at least get some really gnarly flashbacks to the Farro Plague.
Filming starting in 2026 and then releasing the following year doesn't seem long enough for what will be an effects heavy film. I'm dubious but I'll hold back judgment until I see it.
I'm fully expecting the PS6 reveal to open or close with BluePoint's Bloodborne, it's safe and it'd work wonderfully to show off all the new graphics tech.
I'd prefer them to do their own new IP or resurrect some much older franchise, but i also wouldn't kick UHD Eileen out of bed either.
I should point out that 'Duellum' is an actual Latin word for war or combat between two contestants (it's where the word duel comes from, duh!), so not dumb, but very pretentious.
I am so far behind with Genshin... and Honkers for that matter, usually I'd play one or the other between big releases but I've been going from one big game to another this last year and hardly any time for either.
Ghost of Yotei, making good progress and having a wonderful time exploring Edo with Atsu and Wolf.
I'm also going to be settling down to listen to the first episode of Critical Roles new campaign whilst I bimble around Final Fantasy XI, merit point farming and doing some gear upgrading.
@CielloArc Not really, no. Animal Crossing has always had a very distinct art direction and up until relatively recently nothing else has come close to matching the gameplay systems it uses throughout the franchise.
I buy maybe one full price game every 3-4 months, with cheaper/indie games being a more often once a month thing. But the truth is any major game that slips me by gets added to my Amazon Wishlist for family and friends to poke at around crimbo and that gives me enough 100hr+ games to last for most of the year.
@Hurblyburbly I'm still in act 1, I've freed Bellheart and was just going around moping up secrets and stuff and the area where the Beastfly is... I only gave him a couple attempts (usually I have no problem knuckling down and throwing myself at something until I learn it) and my brain just went 'Nope, we're done for now'
I've dropped Silksong for now, frustration finally won out against my adoration. So instead I shall be romping around Ezo doing A Big Revenge in Ghost of Yotei, I'm about 6 hours in and I am already getting distracted by every bit of side content..
Sooooo.... more lay-offs coming in the not-so-distant future?
I'm kinda hoping they do a SE/Embracer and either sell off or release studios into the wild to either be independent OR acquired by slightly less scummy big labels.
Silksong... Another week, another will I quit or will I push on through? I'm still in Act 1, I think I can move on to Act 2 but I have areas I still need to poke around in. I adore this game but there is also a little sliver of hate in there.
For all the intentional frustration with that daft Dogcatbird, there is one moment that sticks in my head - Needing Trico to catapult the Boy and having to stand on the end of the see-saw and jump a few times whilst Trico watched then standing on the other end and watching him test the see-saw before slamming down on it catapulting Boy up and through a grate.
That and catching poop green pellets... Trico, not the boy!
Silksong... I keep thinking that I've gone as far as I can, but then I breakthrough and there's so much more to poke at... I doubt I'll actually get to the end but I'll keep going until I really can't go any further.
I am bumbling around Silksong and finishing watching Frieren this weekend. I adore Silksong, but I also think I'll be dropping it because the necessity for dpad movement is destroying my poor old thumb.
I've been indulging in a little game called World of Warcraft, picked up some time and the War Within expansion in the last sale so I'm chewing my way through everything, good times.
I am so stoked that this might not end up being the Deep Down of this generation! Capcom is looking like it has three massive bangers set for next year.
@Lowdefal It is ridiculously fast, now you can have a full party of trusts (Once you've done the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel stuff) survival is no longer an issue for levelling content, the Rhapsodies stuff also gives a major boost to exp. For example I've just taken Corsair from 0 to 25 in maybe 40 minutes
I have a few days left of my month of FFXI and I am using it to level up all the jobs I can to over lvl24 just so i can purge my inventories of all the low level gear.
Playing FFXI has given me a hankering for ye olde MMO goodness and I think I might be in the right mental space to finally tackle WoW Classic so once My XI sub runs out I might grab a month of WoW and see how I feel
This weekend is a medley of Destiny 2, Final Fantasy XI and Cyberpunk 2077... Plus finishing the last few chapters of Rhythm of War between intermittent power cuts
@themightyant I always appreciate it when a trophy will need 20 cats annoyed but there are 80 cats in the game so you'll likely get the trophy organically rather than having to scour the entire map
I got the Platinum for Metaphor on Thursday just gone and as a treat I picked up Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on Prime day... Already played it to completion on PC but I'm in the mood for a lil not-quite-nostalgia.
Will I make different choices? Probably not!
I'm also going to play some FFXI for old times sake and maybe finally beat all the Voracious Resurgence stuff! Maybe!
I'm not playing much, having a bout of can't-be-arsed's this weekend... I may be able to bring myself to do some more Metaphor Platinum progress because NG+ is pretty braindead easy busywork.
@nessisonett 100% what I'm expecting, instead of sending your army to clear out a castle in 7 real world hours, you'll be sending Leon and Chris to kick some poor zombies backdoor in in 7 real time hours.
I have reached what I assume is the final dungeon in Metaphor, so Sunday will me tackling that
[Edit - It was the final dungeon and that is Metaphor Re-Fantazio finished - I'm also gonna see if I can stick with NG+ for the platinum - Overall I loved it, not as much as the Persona games, but still a ridiculously good time.]
There still a lot of work for them to do on this for it to not feel janky, but it's pre-beta so there is loads of time left. I do hope they decide to pull the camera back a bit, platforming with the camera pushed in that close is awful, the directional combat is interesting but looks clunky and that city is far too clean and sparse even for a Vampire ruled place.

Nintendo are going to have a field day, because that isn't just inspired by it is a carbon copy of AC.

At most, a new questline, nothing massive, but a fun addition
Possible - some fixes, NG+ and/or third person
Most likely - some new weapons, a new car paint job and some new merch.
