Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 608

I was going to start Phantom Liberty in my CP2077 platinum playthrough on PS5... However Song Bird's call never came and after a little investigating it turned out the code I had received with my Ultimate Edition was for the wrong region. So I've finagled a full refund from Amazon and when the moneys re-renters my account I'm going to buy it again but probably digitally.

In the meantime I am going to play some Honkai, do some catching up and chill. I might also play some Where Winds Meet.

I don't think we see Horizon 3 until the PS6 launch, I'd like to see it sooner, but my gut says otherwise.

The home grown Horizon Online game, I think we see a trailer at the game awards with a release at the backend of next year.

As for this MMO? I'm willing to give it a fair shake even though I'd prefer PC/console first for its design rather than the ropey mobile method.

It's free-to-play, I have a reasonably beefy PC... I'll give it a fair shake. I would've preferred it on console and definitely not mobile first. I do hope the PC version has decent gamepad controls (it'd be funny if it had full Dualsense compatibility).

I saw elsewhere someone reporting it as if it was from the team behind Guild Wars 2, which it isn't, but it did remind me that there is a new GW2 expansion I need to gaze upon wistfully.

Ghost of Yotei, making good progress and having a wonderful time exploring Edo with Atsu and Wolf.

I'm also going to be settling down to listen to the first episode of Critical Roles new campaign whilst I bimble around Final Fantasy XI, merit point farming and doing some gear upgrading.

Re: People Don't Buy Anywhere Near As Many Games As You Think

Mintie

I buy maybe one full price game every 3-4 months, with cheaper/indie games being a more often once a month thing. But the truth is any major game that slips me by gets added to my Amazon Wishlist for family and friends to poke at around crimbo and that gives me enough 100hr+ games to last for most of the year.

@Hurblyburbly I'm still in act 1, I've freed Bellheart and was just going around moping up secrets and stuff and the area where the Beastfly is... I only gave him a couple attempts (usually I have no problem knuckling down and throwing myself at something until I learn it) and my brain just went 'Nope, we're done for now'

For all the intentional frustration with that daft Dogcatbird, there is one moment that sticks in my head - Needing Trico to catapult the Boy and having to stand on the end of the see-saw and jump a few times whilst Trico watched then standing on the other end and watching him test the see-saw before slamming down on it catapulting Boy up and through a grate.

That and catching poop green pellets... Trico, not the boy!

Statues a bit expensive though...
