Update []:
Fortnite's crossover with KPop Demon Hunters is live now in the game, and there's plenty for fans to enjoy.
The below trailer gives you a brief glimpse of what to expect:
Demon Rush mode is a special themed variant of Horde Rush, in which you play as Rumi, Zoey, and Mira fighting endless waves of enemies while gaining special perks to become more powerful. It's a limited-time mode, though, live from now until 1st November.
Elsewhere, you'll be able to get your hands on outfits, accessories, and emotes inspired by the film and its characters.
In Battle Royale and Blitz, you can take on Quests from the Huntr/x trio to unlock yet more themed in-game items.
Fortnite Creative is getting KPop Demon Hunters stuff, too. You'll be able to utilise film-inspired assets, demon enemies, special items, and even Rumi, Zoey, and Mira themselves to make your own KPDH levels.
It's a pretty substantial event, then. Will you be checking this out? Let us know in the comments section below.
Original Story: Unless you've been living under a rock, you're probably at least aware of KPop Demon Hunters — a Netflix movie from Sony Pictures Animation that's taken the world by storm. Well, it looks as though it'll soon be crossing paths with the ever-popular everything game, Fortnite.
First, the official account for Fortnite replied to Rei Ami, Korean-American performer and the singing voice of Zoey in the movie, on her TikTok:
After this tease, we've received another, with Ami sharing Zoey's character render for Fortnite on her socials:
It seems KPop Demon Hunters is a lock for Fortnite, then.
For the unfamiliar, the animated film is a story about a group of singers with the ancestral power to prevent demons from entering our realm.
The latest generation of demon hunters is Huntr/x, a K-pop trio that are the world's biggest music act. They use their position and special demon-slaying weaponry to keep the world safe.
The movie has serious mass appeal; it combines catchy songs with humour and some meaningful messages, all with lots of personality in the animation. It's the most popular movie ever released on Netflix.
It's no surprise to see it head to Fortnite; we expect the three main girls — Rumi, Mira, and Zoey — and potentially other characters will make an appearance. Official details are likely to arrive soon.

My condolences Fortnite fans.
My nephew is into this. He asked me to watch it with him the other day, but he was already halfway through, so I had no idea what was going on. It was pretty trippy if I'm honest
EDIT I've just realised this reads like a senile person's film review
This is absolutely amazing. I am sure quite a few other gaming franchises are to follow on collabs.
No surprise at all. Btw the Daft Punk event was amazing, no other game comes close to doing live events like Fortnite does.
My 2 year old is obsessed with this film. I'm just glad we've moved on from all things Frozen.
Why am I not surprised?
The film was fantastic... Not amazing enough to ever get me playing Fortnite though.
Don't besmirch kpdh with Fortnite! Generally, crossovers in every game are very lame. I'm baffled people actually resonate with it.
Until PushSquare made articles about it, I had no idea what KPop Demon Hunter even was.
At least Sony can make bank from them this way
@Acquiescence I mean, after all the slop Fortnite received, this will hardly make any difference. At least it's not CoD.
Normally I'm in to Rock and Metal but my god, what a banger of a sound track. Great film too if you ask me.
I haven't been living under a rock, but I can't get away from Kpop crap on PushSquare.
If it's anything to do with Fortnite, I'll take a hard pass, thanks. 👍
Love all the people who came here to comment about not liking or having any interest in Fortnite, strange world we live in.
Great film, great game - makes sense to partner up.
I always enjoy Halloween horde rush mode for a few matches until I'm finally with a group that beats the boss so I'm looking forward to this collaboration. It will be my first exposure to KPDH so curious about that. Will probably get NF this winter for Witcher so I can finally watch it then.
Don’t play Fortnite but thought about getting the characters for my daughter who is into the film…. £27.99! Nope.
My 13 year old daughter has been terrorizing the house listening to the music from this non-stop for about a month. Ugh, this is going to make it worse. Reminds me of when my dad played disco non-stop for years when I was growing up. Think I am going to invest in ear plugs.
I dont live under a rock. Also im not 5.
@GuttyYZ I’m a nearly 40 year old man but you know if Golden comes on the radio I am blasting the volume up and singing along about being the queen that I’m meant to be.
@Acquiescence Cringe + cringe. They're two perfect fanbases united.
