@Oram77 I feel bad for them to a degree, but man making Generic Hero Shoot #37 and trying to claim it'll be a new breed was just the worst thing they could've done.

The funny thing is that if it had been announced mid-show it would've come across as a possibly neat distraction for a month... instead almost everyone instantly despised it for not being The Big Hype Moment.

On PC I plan to make a master list of all of the smaller games that have slipped through the cracks and rolling a random number to determine which game get played next with the understanding that if it doesn't click I don't waste time trying to force it... I may end up flushing a lot of the PC backlog this year.

Purchasing new stuff-wise, I'll be limiting my new buys to games i REALLY need, the first of those is coming up fast with Nioh 3!

@Mintie When I'm specifically playing with friends I look up build guides for whatever class I'm rolling so I don't spend so much time umm-ing and ahh-ing over skills and stuff. But when I'm playing as a solo class I make the build up as I go and experiment, it's inefficient and can lead to what you experienced with randomly getting obliterated, but its fun when a piece of gear makes something randomly work in my favour.

Star Wars Outlaw, I'm really digging Kay and Nyx's little adventure so far and I look forward to where it goes.

I'm also reinstalling Diablob IV to play with chums.

We still know next to nothing about Townfall... Goes to do a quick bit of googling other than the dev is No Code renamed and No Code made an absolute banger with Observation.

My hope is that it's a bit P.T like, it'll be smaller scale and very different to the usual Silent Hill experience.

Got Star Wars Outlaws as one of my crimbo games and now I am having a blast with Kay and Nyx, still early but so far, so good.

Also got AC Shadows and Cronos. Good times ahead.

Monster Hunter Wilds on't PS5 and a lil Honkai Star Rail because I'm still not caught up.

@themightyant for me it was similar to most Bethesda games - Solid gaming comfort food, like a fairly cheap plate of bangers and mash.

Small team, small budget... and it depends on when a publisher gets involved and who the publisher is and how they contribute.

E33 is an indie, but it is also AA.

My brain sees a t-pose and instantly growls "broken game" at me... Even when it's supposed to be a feature.

@AndyKazama chasing the high of Nioh 2 has made it so very hard to love other similar games. With Wo Long and RoTR they just felt like they were missing something. I'm hopeful for Nioh 3 but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried as well.

If Royal mail pull their finger out I have a cheap copy of Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5 on the way seeing as the PC version still runs like ass on my PC, so if that arrives I'll be turning some not-dinos into some fancy pants!

But as for announcements? Banging crop for me! Stuff to be excited for in the far future and a few things for next year as well... For me the two big ones were Tomb Raider and Control (2?) Resonant... What's Jessie up to? But yeah, two new outings for my girl Lara? Stoked!

When I first played it, it was a dumpster fire, then I gave it a second chance when Phantom Liberty launched and it was fantastic.

@Oram77 I started a replay of the 2013 game recently and it still holds up. I wonder if we'll be getting more Camilla voiced Lara.

Never thought we'd see the dissolution of EA, but it is looking more and more likely. Hopefully someone cool buys BioWare and their IP!

As usual I'll watch this the day after, I'm much too old and set in my routine to stay up that late.

@McBurn I'm guessing by 'single player' you mean a bog standard £60 game? If so, it'll never happen. They have their monetisation model firmly established and it works really well for them.

If, however, you've been misinformed or got the wrong idea entirely, Honkai Star Rail is single player and can be fully enjoyed 100% free.

This looks rad, but like @Hyena_socks said, something feels off. It could just be that the gameplay looks ever so slightly janky, but yeah, got my eye on this one.

I wonder if I'm finally gonna get the third person action RPG set in the Diablo universe that I've been wanting for more than a decade... A game like Nioh, but on Sanctuary would make me incredibly moist.

@themightyant I wonder if they intend for a more Mass-Effectian approach to a trilogy where the differences are minimal and the whole lot flows better.

Good thing that there is no shortage of excellent games to play, both upcoming and clogging the backlog.

I was going to start Phantom Liberty in my CP2077 platinum playthrough on PS5... However Song Bird's call never came and after a little investigating it turned out the code I had received with my Ultimate Edition was for the wrong region. So I've finagled a full refund from Amazon and when the moneys re-renters my account I'm going to buy it again but probably digitally.

In the meantime I am going to play some Honkai, do some catching up and chill. I might also play some Where Winds Meet.

It's a shame this won't be a full priced normal SP game, because it would do serious numbers. Buuuut I'll end up playing it anyways, at least until the initial launch's content runs dry and then I'll evaluate if it gets added to the Betwixt Games roster of F2P games I play between full priced jaunts.

It was a strangely enjoyable game on PC. Who hasn't day dreamed about digging a massive hole in their back garden?

I'm going to give Where Winds Meet a go, I'm always open to some wuxia hijinks. On top of that I'll be continuing my Cyberpunk platinum run.

Depending on the price I can see me getting one to play my Steam library on the big tv downstairs, but it'd be something that works alongside my consoles rather than replace them.

Scratch what I said before, won't be touching this with a 100ft pole.

I don't think we see Horizon 3 until the PS6 launch, I'd like to see it sooner, but my gut says otherwise.

The home grown Horizon Online game, I think we see a trailer at the game awards with a release at the backend of next year.

As for this MMO? I'm willing to give it a fair shake even though I'd prefer PC/console first for its design rather than the ropey mobile method.

It's free-to-play, I have a reasonably beefy PC... I'll give it a fair shake. I would've preferred it on console and definitely not mobile first. I do hope the PC version has decent gamepad controls (it'd be funny if it had full Dualsense compatibility).

I saw elsewhere someone reporting it as if it was from the team behind Guild Wars 2, which it isn't, but it did remind me that there is a new GW2 expansion I need to gaze upon wistfully.

I still haven't picked up Nightreign, it's antithetical to how I play FromSoft games, slow and methodically poking at every corner. Same with Duskbloods, it being a battle royal is really disappointing and if it had been a single player PvE game would be a reason to upgrade to a Switch 2.

Whilst I'm still looking forward to this it is getting a bit daft now.

I'm really looking forward to getting into this once the whole package is out, should be a fun thing to binge over a weekend.

@Ainu20 this is what's currently stopping me from jumping in to what looks like a fun game. I'd love to see an interview putting the question of compensating VAs to both the actors and the developers.

I don't play MP games on PlayStation precisely because I'd have to pay. I usually only buy a month of PS+ at a time and usually so i can play through games added to the catalogue.

I've been replaying Signalis... for the fourth time. It's just a really good romantic tragedy wrapped up in cosmic horror and has become a part of my Halloween tradition.

I will do eventually, I'm in no rush so I'll probably wait until all the dlc is out and then pick it up.
