Both Characters that I loved as a kid. I will always be down for more of both. I recently finished watching The Showa Era Godzilla movies and I had fun with those. Even the incredibly ridiculous ones had their moments. I'm also a huge fan of Shin Godzilla & Minus One. The Legendary movies are also fun. I like that they hark back to the bonkers movies from the early days.

Just played the demo and i'll buy it when it's released in April.

I tried my best to introduce my nieces and nephews to top tier single player games. I failed miserably. Games such as Rayman Legends, Mario Wonder, Astrobot were described as boring, so they are hooked on that digital crack that is Roblox/Fortnite.

I myself have been gaming for almost 40 years and consider cutting back. I already have considerably by reading more and more books than picking up a (insert your controller of choice here). PS5 & Switch may be my last consoles, the future of gaming has to be something rather special to make me keep throwing money at it.

With so much to choose from it's sad these same titles remain at the top.

I'm juggling a few at the moment. Once I finish all these I'm hoping to stick to one game at a time for 2026. The games are:-

Disco Elysium which has just taken a crazy turn I didn't see coming.

Judgement 2: The Kaito Files, I should finish this today.

Pipistrello & The Cursed Yo-Yo, this game is fantastic I've taken out 2 bosses so far.

Planet of Lana, picked it up for just over £4 and loving what I've played of it.

Cocoon, I must be on the last part and might finish it this weekend. A real blast with this one.

Despatch. This game is gorgeous and hilarious. I've done the first 2 episodes.

I have a huge backlog so sounds good to me. I did say that the PS5 & Switch would be my last consoles. For me to break that, the future of gaming will have to be really exciting and different from what it is now.

@UltimateOtaku91 I appreciate you checking that out for me. I'll maybe pick it up and play it with my other half, then she can decide if she can play it or not as it's her sisters kid.

Is this game suitable for a 15 year old? I fancy playing it myself but my niece has been watching playthroughs on YouTube . Maybe it has content that would be embarrassing to play alongside her uncle.

I'm 10 hours into Disco Elysium. Just a fantastic game. For the first few hours I was walking around with only one shoe on, until I spotted it walking past the area it was in. I've been jumping in and out of a lit of games this year. I think for 2026 I'm just going to focus on 1 at a time.

I played and loved the original Death Stranding when it first came out but have yet to jump on the sequel. Maybe in 2026.

I keep hearing great things about expedition 33 so also another one to get into at some point.

@ShogunRok with your articles you got me playing both the Yakuza and Trails series. So thanks to your recommendations I've enjoyed hundreds of hours of fantastic video games. I look forward to catching up with both series one day!

The only games I've played this year that are on the list are Silksong and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance and I haven't finished Silksong yet. Hopefully will have time in the holidays to do plenty gaming and get stuck into my backlog in 2026.

Edit: Yooka-Replaylee and Pipestrillo and the cursed yo-yo are missing from the options.

As someone who doesn't like football but loves anime/manga and JRPG's would this game be worth it for me?

Love both games, Can't wait for the third one. I still need to get the Ps5 upgrade for the original and play it on my PS5, maybe something to do over the Christmas holidays!

I haven't played anything for a bit. Need to jump back into Silksong. Focusing more on reading (just started Dungeon crawler carl). I'm on an anime binge. I've only 7 episodes left of Demon Slayer, before im all caught up and have to wait for the movies. I also picked up my favourite all time t.v. show on blu-ray (Farscape) can't wait to start watching that again 😀.

Will mostly be out spending time with my Mrs. Out for food and to see Black Phone 2.

My old t.v. had become unwatchable, so bought a new proper 4K one. My previous one was almost 10 years old. I have a lot of games to replay now that will look like totally different with my new one.

Hopefully I'll get more of Silksong done but no doubt I'll put on some powerhouse games just to gawk at the imagery. Wish I'd upgraded sooner but the t.v. I had worked fine.

Silksong is still my main game. I want to try and do everything and see everything the game has to offer. I'm still on Act 2. Put in about 120 hours so far. I've beaten 18 bosses, I have 7 lined up and I'm convinced there is still more of the map to uncover. I refuse to look at guides unless im banging my head against a wall.

Besides Silksong I've been playing Yooka-Replaylee, Celeste and Nuclear Blaze.

I'll still be playing Silksong but have also started playing Celeste again. Almost got 100 strawberries after beating the main game back in 2020 im hooked on getting 100% now. Also Ori and the will of the wisps on Switch.

@ApostateMage I had considered doing the same. My wife keeps asking if im going through a midlife crisis in my 40's🤣. I used to be great on rollerblades but threw them in the back of the wardrobe after a horrible fall. I may take that up again. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I backed the original as I was a huge Rare fan during the N64 and early Xbox days. £15 is a good deal will pick it up.

I haven't bought a £70 game in some time. I will now wait for a decent sale on games like that before I buy. Indies though I will snap up. Games £25 and under like Shinobi/Silksong were bought the day/week of release.

More Silksong for me. I beat First Sinner last night. Everyone seems to complain about the runbacks but I don't mind them. Gives you a chance to change your build and maybe go elsewhere. With First Sinner I didn't get that option, the game forced me into taking her out without any tools. I feel like Neo in the Matrix when I finally see patterns and go toe to toe with the bosses. As when you first encounter them they seem ridiculously impossible only for you to take them out no problem several attempts later.

I'm not a sports fan really, but I miss snowboarding games. Would love to see a new SSX or Amped I would spend hours on ending playing those and blasting music in my bedroom back in the day. Glad Silksong is doing great though, I love that game.

This weekend I'll continue playing Silksong. I beat 'The Last Judge' about an hour ago. What a rush. Might find something else to change it up a little.

Silksong, I've reached the door of the citadel. I could have done that ages ago but I've been thoroughly exploring everywhere else. Before I take on the Last Judge, I may try my hand at a couple of what seem like optional bosses and a mini game in the Marrow.

Last night I 100% Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a handful of trophies left to get the platinum but they are tied to the arcade and boss rush modes, I'll dive into those down the line at somepoint. Excellent game I highly recommend it for action fans.

Also last night I beat Sister Splinter in Silksong. Had a bazillion attempts, as when I first run into her I thought impossible too much stuff going on. Only to take her down later without getting hit. I felt like an unstoppable god, glorious. Will probably explore more later today with my new wall climbing ability, the map is really starting to open up now. Fantastic game!
@Jrs1 brilliant game, are you going for the platinum? I'll do it another time as an excuse to keep playing.

I've reached the final boss in Shinobi 🥷 Art of Vengeance but clearing up the stages before I take him on.

Also Silksong, loving the game. I beat the Bell Beast and now just exploring.

I might play a bit of the Lost Judgement DLC as I'm a couple of chapters into that as well.

I couldn't help myself and started playing. I got to the first wee place then had Hornet sit on the bench. Already can tell it's going to be great.

I'll download it, but I might finish Shinobi first before I play it. I have a free weekend next week, so that could be a Silksong weekend!

I finished Epic Mickey yesterday and I beat Traitor Lord in Hollow Knight, bumped it up from 88% to 93% after not having played it in ages. I also started Shinobi and it's excellent, I've beat 3 bosses so far.

On Switch I restarted Ori and the will of the wisps and did the arena battles in Sea of Stars.

I owned the original, but I gifted it to my nephews in preparation for upgrading to PSVR2. In the end I never got around to picking one up.

A lot of people must have watched a different SoP from me. Loads of great games shown here, I know not everyone plays all genres of games and art is subjective and all that but to call it bad. 🤔

I've been wanting to play a platformer, So I'm playing 3 different ones. Epic Mickey rebrushed, Psychonauts 2 and Yooka-Laylee: The Impossible lair. Also still playing FFVI, Sekiro and Cuphead. Too many games and not enough time.

Lovely day here in Aberdeen, so the Mrs and I were out sorting the garden from 9am-2pm. Been to Tesco for tonight's munchies. I will watch some t.v. or a movie with my Mrs and then some Cuphead & Sekiro. Only Wally Warbles to beat on Isle 2 before I can go to Isle 3 and in Sekiro I'm in a misty woodlands trying to access a temple.

For that price you can get the first 7 volumes of the Deluxe editions from Darkhorse. A much better investment!

After finishing Red Dead Redemption last weekend, I have jumped back into Sekiro. When I last played it I had beaten the Chained Ogre and left it there. Now I'm on Lady Butterfly & Ashina Reservoir. So have done a good bit since picking it up again. Also got the platinum for The Last Campfire as a break from Sekiro last night. I received Armoured Core 6 in the post as well, never played a mech game before but am really curious, as I love them in anime and other media!

I finished my first ever playthrough of Red Dead Redemption. Fantastic game, I played RDR2 when it first came out. I wonder if they will ever do a 3rd one!
