@naruball definitely, I cannot wait to get my hands on this. All those armies of people who aren't going to play it because it's a cross gen title(or is that just trickydicky1999 π) will miss out.
@BeerIsAwesome That's a good way to look at it I suppose. A few guys at work only play these games and nothing else, according to them I play weird games π
I guess they are better off only buying one game a year!
@TrickyDicky99 Poor show recycling old comments. No one really cares if it's a cross gen game. A good game is a good game, regardless of how much power it utilizes of the system it's on.
Yes I absolutely loved characters like Logan Nine fingers and Glokta in the Abercrombie books. I'll get back into fantasy once I'm done with the culture series, Just 3 books to go!
I read them for the first time after seeing the show so it's not been too painful a wait for myself.
@themightyant that's a good list of authors, some I still need to get to. Mainly Sanderson.
I get your frustration, I'm just at the point now where I'll move on to other stuff and probably forget about certain series if they are stuck in limbo!
@Eldritch I didn't mean for it to come across that way, I apologise If that's how you read it. I specifically meant the shows I listed as they were unlike anything I had seen up until that point. I was in my late teens when I discovered the medium, before that it was mostly all ages stuff and the likes of great shows like Beavis & Butthead and Southpark.
I'm certainly not saying Anime is better as a whole. Plenty great animated shows/movies from around the globe.
I probably wouldn't have looked into Anime if it wasn't for my love of all the great 80's and 90's shows and Disney's movie output (I wish they would give traditional animation a shot again).
@Kienda I'm a huge fan of all animation types but indeed Anime is a whole culture on it's own and like you said there are certain themes dealt with in Anime that no American show has came close to.
@Eldritch They are on a different level from your standard American cartoons though. I've always loved different types of animation but when I first laid eyes and ears on my first few Anime Movies/series (Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Cowboy Bebop, Ninja Scroll). I was blown away by what the medium was capable of, that I'd never seen done before in any hand drawn animation!
I'll join the others in saying it's not long now. Also going in blind, sequel to a top notch game from 2018 is good enough for me. Better get Trails of Cold Steel 2 finished before the 9th!
@Anti-Matter You do have some great games in there. A lot of movie tie-in stuff which I generally avoid as it's rubbish, just my opinion though.
You seem to love kickboxing which I would say is a violent sport and The Bible game probably one of the most violent pieces of literature out there if the game is based on the old testament especially.
@dschons I'm starting to think he's a bot, as he mentions it in every article. Some of the stuff he plays is the stuff of nightmares if you're a parent or like myself an uncle who has watched the same kids stuff over and over and over again π
@Shepherd_Tallon You beat me to it. Everyone of those games in that ad looked great. I'd play them all if I had the time and money on day 1 for each release!
@huyi still plenty to play in the meantime, I'm currently playing Trails of cold steel 2 and bought Trails into zero. I picked up the last remenant in a sale as well as final fantasies and Yakuza/like a dragon games in the backlog!
On act 2 of Trails of cold steel 2, 40 hours in and just passed the part involving the Twin Dragons bridge.
My nephew's are enjoying PSVR this weekend, I gifted it to them, as I'll be upgrading to PSVR2 when it releases next year. My brother-in-law finally set it up after I posted last week.
Wrapped up the story in Yakuza 6 last night. What an amazing series it is. Looking forward to all the other RGG games I've yet to play and have only just been announced. Not sure what game I'll play next!
Doesn't matter what it's called I'll buy everything from RGG studios. Phenomenal games. Just on the final stretch of Yakuza 6 now, all 7 entries so far have been some of the best I've ever played and the writing puts most movies to shame!
Living in a bit of an upheaval at the moment and doing some D.I.Y to the new house. PS5 is still in it's box but in my short bursts of downtime I've been playing Toem on switch. Perfect type of game after a hard day's graft.
@IonMagi I know that but that's what I'm saying it would fair better as an anime and Kat will be completely butchered. No place for a ditzy, scantily clad female in today's world at least not coming out of Hollywood.
@NEStalgia I need to play the Xenoblade games at some point. Saying FF is dead is a bit of a stretch though. My first was FFXV and I thought it was great, minus the bits cut and tacked on later approach. Since then I've played 7,9,10.1 and 7 remake and loved them all. Can't wait for remake part 2 and 16!
@NEStalgia Final Fantasy will never be that bad. Kids aren't interested in stories in games. They just want to shoot each other. It's all about the social aspect, at least from all the kids I know anyway. Always turn their nose up at the amazing games I try to introduce them to!

If you haven't already I highly recommend the Malazan series!

Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Get January 2023 Release Date on PS4
In the last few years getting into JRPG's has been great. I've an abundance of classics to discover. Loved Persona 5 so will definitely pick these up!

Have a great weekend everyone!
Re: TV Show Review: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Netflix) - Hyperviolent Anime Is a Perfect 2077 Companion
Is the game worth playing now? I've stayed away since all the furore surrounding the game and can I watch this without having played the game?

Living in a bit of an upheaval at the moment and doing some D.I.Y to the new house. PS5 is still in it's box but in my short bursts of downtime I've been playing Toem on switch. Perfect type of game after a hard day's graft.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Business as Usual for Horizon Forbidden West in First Place
As this is a UK site can we have the word TRASH banned?
It's thrown about far to much by our American friends.
Re: Gravity Rush Also Getting a Movie, It's Claimed
@IonMagi I know that but that's what I'm saying it would fair better as an anime and Kat will be completely butchered. No place for a ditzy, scantily clad female in today's world at least not coming out of Hollywood.
Re: Gravity Rush Also Getting a Movie, It's Claimed
@IonMagi feature length anime of Gravity Rush and they'll get my money.
Re: Gravity Rush Also Getting a Movie, It's Claimed
Anime please, and a 3rd game would be great!
Can't really imagine scantily clad women defying gravity being greenlit in Hollywood in today's climate.
