Phew! What a week, huh? Many of you may not feel like switching on your PS5 this weekend – that’s understandable – but remember a good gaming session always has the power to make you feel better.
Aaron Bayne
I'm still slowly chipping away at BioShock 2, but I may also check out Empulse this weekend.
Graham Banas
I've got a few bigger games that I've been waiting to start and this weekend might be the time. At some point this weekend I'll probably start 007 First Light, Clair Obscur, or Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. And wouldn't you know it, I have disc copies of each of them. What a novel concept. Hope Sony keeps doing that.

Quite a few people are looking forward to pirating around a resynced depiction of the Caribbean Sea as Edward Kenway next Thursday, so I figured I'd pirate around the desynced Caribbean Sea as Adéwalé in Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry.
Sammy Barker
I started Forza Horizon 5 this week, which has been fun but hasn't exactly blown me away yet. I'm not sure what I expected really, but I'll stick with it.
That’s everything we’re playing this weekend, then, but what about the rest of you? Let us know in the comments section below.

This weekend I will enjoy Dark Souls Remastered, this time with a sorcerer build (I SWEAR!)!
On the side I can continue my playthrough of Half-Life 1.
And on the PS5 I am playing Reanimal and on the 3DS a long forgotten journey of Pokemon Moon! There I am at a bus stop or something like that, it has been years
Have a nice weekend and screw Sony
NG+ Grounded and struggling a lot with the Infected Broodmother! Got her on to the 3rd phase but I was totally unprepared for her high damage and very fast attacks.
Started Outcast: A New Beginning in the week and the voice acting and story aren’t all great (all very generic so far anyway) but it’s okay to just wonder around and shoot robots and strange alien creatures.
Brotato on the switch and again, struggling with Danger 3. Got so close then got overwhelmed.
May have to dip into Balatro as haven’t played it in ages.
A few light beers and football as well.
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
More Lightning Returns, which I’m finding particularly stressful. The countdown clock, together with certain parts of the map, characters and quests only becoming available for specific time-windows.
It’s very different from Final Fantasy XIII parts 1 and 2 in terms of combat too, which I’m a bit disappointed about. Hoping that the story and familiar characters carry me through.
Going through OG FF7 yet again. Might dip in and out of BF6 aswell
I'll be playing The Adventures of Elliot.....that I own on disc!
I'm just waiting for Black Flag Resynced next week so I've been playing some GTA 5 and probably a bit of Battlefield 6 later on. Maybe go back and get the last few trophies for 007.
FF16. Great game, although the tasks to enter a new region are starting to grind my gears.
Hell let loose. Playing a couple of matches. Can't wait for HLL: Vietnam next month.
Have a great weekend!
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild: Done most side quests, shrines, armor sets, and purchased both DLC's so it's time to get cracking on the main story (I've only done Vah Ruta). It's just so easy to get sidetracked and have enormous fun doing so, and I've sunk 100+ hours this playthrough already.
Dragon Warrior (NES) - I'm level 8 now and I made it to the village of Kol. I'm still searching for the princess and also a flute?
Jet Car Stunts (Windows Phone) - I haven't played in a week, enjoying Hexic and DW too much it seems.
Hexic (Windows Phone) - Such a blast to play in between grinding for gold/exp.
I’ll be playing my disc copy of broken sword PS1 on the PS3 with my daughter. From the days when you actually owned a product not a license made of air 👌
Gotten into granblue fantasy relink and really liking it so far. The only annoyance is it’s another game with cheat codes (listed as “accessibility options”) that allow for gradients of reduced damaged all the way up to invincibility. It’s hard to play a JRPG based on levelling up when you can effectively do so immediately from the options menu. Please devs, stop doing this! It just makes you constantly feel like every enemy is a needless damage sponge and that you are wasting your life by playing properly. At the very least turn off trophies when using such options.
Playing:
Bought a secondhand copy with good condition for $6. This game almost two decades old and it still looks good and fun to play. Also, arguably it have the hottest Lara Croft in the series.
I still think this game is the best DMC in the series. Currently at mission 10.
Finished:
After all the bad news from Sony, i hope you guys have a good weekend. Cheers 🍻
I will continued playing fan favorite the excellent psychonauts 2.i will also continued playing the instant classic the incredible little nightmares 2.i will continued be playing one of the best video games ever made in the amazing 13 sentinels aegis rim.and I will be continued playing another one of the best video games ever made in the phenomenal nine sols.i will be watching the world 🌎 cup ⚽️ soccer. I will be continued watching the awsome movie final destination bloodlines. I will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers.married with children.and saved by the bell.word up son
I’m mostly just waiting for Black Flag and playing some small games here and there, like getting the platinum in Bluey playing with my daughter.
I did however also go back and finished the last bit of story for AC Shadows - Black tides. It was a nice little bit of added story tying the game together with the other games. I’m impressed with the updates Shadows has been getting. I also love the game and each time I’ve been back I’m reminded of how good I think it is. Really got me hyped for more AC with Black Flag next week!
Have a great weekend!
Expeditions: Rome, which plays much like XCOM Roman Empire Edition, but with more RPG elements.
Fun gameplay loop with squad turn-based battles and bigger army battles that play more like a card game. And surprisingly good voice acting. I'm enjoying it so far.
Recently picked up a copy of GTA IV Complete Edition so might give that a try and Street Fighter 6.
I'm making my way through Avowed. I'm liking it, but as far as RPG's go, It's pretty generic.
In between the F1 I will try and play some Forza Horizon 6 if I can get some Xbox time (my wife is playing a farming game 24/7). I'd started a new game of Zelda link to the past on switch 2, but to be honest I just want to go back to Crimson Dessert. I'll be all over the Black Flag update soon, so I need to concentrate on smaller titles on PS5 and not get to wrapped up in anything!
Whatever you are playing this weekend I hope you have fun!
I'll be unknotting my panties and dipping into my digital game catalogue and maybe finally get back to 007: First Light
Oops, I couldn't help it. The more people make every single gaming topic about this, the more I want to push back for no real reason 😅
Started Bloodborne umpteenth time and just left it on the screen.............
..............
..............
..............
A long pause, just taking it all in as to how someone created this. Like an art piece you thought you were you were toying with but ended up being a masterpiece. I feel like Sekiro won GOTY on behalf of Bloodborne. I mean Sekiro is also good but not on this level. If you're gamer and you haven't played this...tsk. Miyazaki - salute!
Elsewhere, I beat Alan Wake 2. More Elden Ring- another Miyazaki masterpiece. Some GTAO, MHWilds, Hades 2.
I picked up Gundam Breaker 4 in the sale a couple weeks back. My first Gundam game, really been enjoying it (and quite nice to have an easier game after beating Nioh 2 😄). It has made me want to try my hand at a proper Gundam kit, so the in game advertising works I guess! Haha. If anyone has any tips for any starter kits it’d be appreciated, bit overwhelming looking at all that’s available 🤓
So it’ll be more mech action (or more mech building and testing to be precise) for me this weekend!
Have a fun one!
Happy weekend everyone!
@psmr Good luck pal, you've got this 😎
Finally completed the play log in FF VII Rebirth the other day so I'm doing a fun run through Resident Evil Requiem this weekend before I go back to Crimson Desert. I'm trying to finish it before Marvel: Tokon lands.
I'm off work until the 14th. I have no excuse for not getting to the end of the story at least.
@trymer89 I'm currently getting very sidetracked too 😄 can't believe I put this game off for so long. Continued enjoyment and good luck to you 👍
Started KCD but soon realised that - by design - you can’t save the game whenever you want. So I ditched that in a melodramatic fury and started Final Fantasy 16 instead. Not sure how I feel about it yet.
I'm going through Final Fantasy III fresh off completing I&II, but I'll take a break before tackling IV through VI.
If I've got leftover time this weekend after FFIII, I should finally start Pragmata.
Adventures of Elliot, Luna Abyss, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth platinum cleanup.
Still chipping away at the splendid BotW and with a dose of VS (working on my 4th 100%) and RDR on the side, this being my long term game as I don't get much time on PS5 at the moment.
Have a boss weekend everyone 👍
After 50+ hours I finally beat Disciples: Liberation! Really good game.
I’ll be starting Airoheart next which looks decent, although maybe a little too close to A Link to the Past.
It’s also multiplayer night tonight so we’ll be playing Escape the Backrooms and hopefully some Content Warning
Hopefully get to rotate all 3 just started judgement, dark tide and forza 5
@AgentCooper Thanks, you too! Don't feel bad; I didn't even own a Switch, much less play this, until 2021. How are you finding it and is this your first Zelda as it was for me?
I seem to have fallen off Silksong a bit. I enjoy it when I play it, but I keep getting lost in the world (something I don't usually have an issue with in games) and I don't feel much compulsion to carry on. After also bouncing off Nine Sols, I think I'm just burned out on 2D metroidvanias
So I've gone back to Elden Ring and I'm loving it
Playing my disk copy of High on Life.
Anyone else tried this game?
It's not clicked with me like the 1st game did unfortunately.... but as got it in disk I can get rid of it when I want and trade it sell it. Something Sony doesn't want to allow us to do in the future.
@trymer89 My last Zelda was Windwaker all those years ago, so I was something of a lapsed Nintendo fan for a long time. I recently changed jobs which involves a commute so the switch has suddenly become a main feature after gathering dust for many years. The game itself just seem infinitely creative and wonderful, I love just popping into that world and not feeling the creep of a checklist or platinum requirements. Let me know how you get on friend 👍
I’m playing Mouse PI going through again to get the remaining trophies.
I was excited to play this game but it’s a bit of a slog- would of benefited from being a lot shorter.
Finishing the plat for star wars outlaws and maybe Digimon or death stranding 2 spent two hours searching for my cat so eventful morning and I found him
I'm playing Stardew Valley and I'm having a blast. Such a good game. Have a great gaming weekend everyone!
I'm playing Dragon Quest XIs. Got stuck in the casino for an hour and a half on a win streak. I now know why it would suck to be immortal, cos that damn slime wouldn't die for anything. Also restarting metaphor refantazio again and taking my time. Botched up a side quest and it was driving me bat stuff crazy.
Dear friend @Torque024
Both "Dark Tide" and "Forza Horizon 5" amazing games.
Enjoy my friend
Just landed in Aleph in Bond First Light, really good game, great acting feels like a Bond movie. I really love the balance of gun play and fighting, you can't really run and gun and the environmental aspects are excellent so many different approaches to levels.
The best bit.......... I am playing it from a physical disc!!
Happy gaming folks & good luck England (we'll need it)
Dear friend @TheArt
As you know, "We are undone by the blood.... So, our eyes are yet to open..."
Dear friend @GamingGod
I truly respect you.
I’ll keep chipping away at Dave the Diver: In the Jungle and play some Root Bear on the Playdate. I play a little bit of that one every day at this point.
Im playing Forbidden Siren (PS5). Its painful, hard and frustrating, but fun.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. Gaming has been on the backburner because of the world cup and wimbledon. But I'm hoping to find some time this weekend for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. Happy gaming time everyone.
Killing time whilst waiting for Black Flag so I can't get into anything deep.
Hence I've been back on Borderlands 2 on my PC. Bought it at launch and not finished it yet. Got side tracked by Far Cry 3 and WoW at the time.
I've uninstalled Borderlands 4 from my Pro, it's very poor in comparison.
Playing Starfield as I’ve been since launch, on verge of getting Platinum trophy.
@ozkrmz "Some say cosm...do you hear our prayers woooooo awoooooo" 😆 is there ever going to be a boss like Micolash...
Been working my way through Mouse PI and Wuthering Waves when I can.
Still bothered by the busted 007 First Light trophy situation.
Otherwise, I am trying to find something new to play through but I cannot seem to want to commit to anything else beyond Mouse.
Working on Spider-Man 2, Stray and then some CoD Vanguard with the missus as she can’t go a day without shooting at something, and I’m just happy it’s not me.
Have a great weekend and hope everyone finds time for the hobby!

I pulled the trigger on gears of war reloaded and I'm enjoying my trip down memory lane although I'm finding the controls have quite a bit of input lag. Marathon and dirt rally 2.0 as always and I'm apprehensively awaiting england playing Mexico Monday morning. This will be our toughest opponent thus far and I'm not sure we will triumph..Have a cracking weekend folks and COME ON ENGLAND...
@TheArt unlucky for Ghana mate..next time round 👍
Crimson desert Have now racked up around 185 hours, and amazingly still no sign yet of burnout! I keep saying I’m gonna focus on the main story… then I get sidetracked yet again 😂 this morning I grew my baby wyvern into a full grown mount. Then I got myself the “iron eagle” (mechanical bird) pet, which looks awesome.
Also playing the brilliant The adventures of Elliot, and Docked.
Away from video games, it’s also a great weekend of sport - it’s the F1 British Grand Prix, and then England playing tomorrow night in the World Cup!
@Northern_munkey yeah I’m bricking it mate . Going to be by far the hardest game but I reckon they will come at us like Croatia and leave plenty of space behind 🤞😂
Vampire Survivors continues to pull me back in. In between lulls I'll boot it up and find out they added more content for FREE. This dev is the gold standard for how to treat your fans. Prob be playing this all weekend, at least.
Removed - unconstructive feedback
When I'm not delving into joe Rogan videos about ancient civilizations over the weekend I'll most likely be on some red dead online or eafc26 and definitely some Forza horizon 6!
Happy weekend folks ✌️
90 hours deep into Persona 5 Royal and the gang have only just got back from their Hawaii trip. Forgot how bloody long this game is.
@GamingGod I'm more concerned about the massive space we leave in the middle..🫣
After a pretty hectic week in work, I’ve got a long weekend ahead of me. I’m playing House Flipper remastered collection, whilst waiting for Black Flag to go live. I’m still also making progress in my platinum hunt for Dragons Dogma.
Still banging away on the Hades 2 plat. Great game!
Started Yakuza: Like a Dragon yesterday. I can feel that it will be an amazing journey!! The story is touching from the start, and I am quite curious to see how the turn-based combat develops.
Also, more and more close to the end of Trails From The Sky: 1st Chapter. Another incredible game with a envolving story and addicting combat. The worldbuilding is unparalled.
Finally, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Completed the story of Claws of Awaji, now to clear the rest of the side content (there is a lot yet). Foward we go!!
And tomorrow, gonna watch with all my familly the Brazilian team face Norway. We will win for sure!! Go Brazil!!!
@AgentCooper Haven't played Wind Waker myself; would you recommend?
@rusty82 Yeah I played both high on life games I loved them both!
The humor is my type of humor and I love games that will give you a giggle so they are right up my street!
Hopefully the game eventually clicks with you my friend!
@Northern_munkey my biggest concern is a crap defence man lol
Still working my way through the excellent WARHAMMER 40,000: Space Marine 2 and enjoying every minute of it. Really recommend this for anyone who enjoys a great 3PS action adventure game. It’s an incredibly solid offering. As always, I hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend and no rage quitting!!
@AgentCooper cheers buddy. Pardon my ignorance but what is VS?
I will be focussing on The Adventures of Elliot and Etrange Overlord.
Ff16 , Empulse. Good games.
@Northern_munkey Yep soon as our RB Senaya picked up that injury, whole game was disoriented. Kudus not making it to the tournament killed it for me to start with. I'm backing England now, Harry Kane has been wanting this for far too long 😄. Rice looks like a cool movie actor 😄 and I'm an Arsenal fan until they pushed Wenger out and non-invisible Arteta mistreated Ozil, I lost a huge deal of interest in them and football to some extent. But yeah, go England!
Promenade. Got it on sale for $7. Charming platform / exploration / puzzle game. I've also been trying to play FF16 but all the characters are dreary drips and I kinda don't care about anything that happens. It's like when I tried to play Witcher 3 and just couldn't force myself to like it.
@trymer89 It's my favourite Zelda, although I'm aware I've missed a significant amount of entries in the intervening years. It's just really great and has that sense of wonderment BotW has just on the sea 😄
@trymer89 Wind Waker has it's tedious parts but to me the charm and adventure are well worth it.
@TheArt grant us eyes… grant us eeyyeeees…
@MrPeanutbutterz yes, making a joke about being bored of it being the only talking point in every aspect of gaming is definitely the same as actually liking the decision myself 🙄
The joke is it that even though it sucks, it is also very boring to read about. (It's also partially me making fun of myself for doing so 👍) But I forgot i'm not allowed to do any of that without people feeling attacked.
Almost finished with first playthrough of Persona 4 Golden on the vita.
Celebrating America babyyyyy!!!
And maybe some more Ryza
I hopped back in Horizon Forbidden West on a whim and MAN is that game incredible still! I platinumed it years ago but still found a relic in an area I had never been to before. The forced hate for that game was off the charts!
I'm still going to finish the Adventures of Elliot but it is waning a bit.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and don't let the news cycle keep you from enjoying this great hobby!
I don't want to do this anymore
Still making my way through SMT III Nocturne HD on PS4. Wow, I can't believe I slept on this game for so long.
With the end looming, it'll be time to once again find a game with hooks. As always, I'll try to get back into games that I couldn't stay with - maybe Trails in the sky FC, Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven, or Cronos The New Dawn.
Have a great weekend everybody, and have a very safe and happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans.
Shadow of the erdtree for me. I was a little burned out finishing the main game, now after almost a year it's time to finish the dlc.
Cleared more backlog with Silent Hill 2 Remake this week. That was a dark one, yikes. On to something lighter with Adventures of Elliot.
@psmr It's Vampire Survivors pal
I'll be playing my physical copy of Expedition 33 and my digital copy of Cuphead. The best of both worlds.
I'm inside the monument in Clair Obscur and i've been playing Cuphead on and off since I bought it on release. Just 3 more bosses to go on isle 3.
Have a good one folks!
Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen. Nearly done with the platinum trophy!
I’ve still yet to play anything. This is the longest I’ve gone without playing something and I’m surprisingly not missing it. At the moment I’m deeply consumed by my hobbies of collecting comic books and writing. Maybe when Assassin’s Creed Black Flag releases I will jump back into the gaming world, but we will see.
I finally got back into Baldur's Gate 3.
I started a new campaign, abandoning my first playthrough and restarting as a Ranger.
I have been utterly enthralled and haven't done much besides playing BG3.
Such a special game. A seminal entry.
@AgentCooper ahh right, I’ve still to play it myself. Have a feeling it’ll completely take over when I eventually do so a bit wary of it tbh.
PS5 has been getting major playtime from me lately, finally finishing up Ragnarok and then moving onto Black Flag next week!
Me:
FFVII Remake (Switch 2) - at the end of chapter 9 and I've had a really good time with it so far.
RE2R (PS5) - I'm not too far in and playing it very sporadically. It's been a while since I've played a RE game, so I'm finding in criminally short on ammo at all times!
Wife:
Magical Princess (Steam) - definitely not my kind of game
Ghosts of Tsushima (PS5) - heavy discount on this one so I got it for her. She really likes it and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Spider Man 2 and Call of Duty
I'm still playing Final Fantasy 7 (the original) and have been continuing my 2024-25 season with the Portland Trail Blazers on NBA 2K25. I know many are angry with Sony (and I am and for good reason), but I'm continuing to stick with them. I'm praying they back off this decision. Hasn't been a good console generation.
PS5 - Adventures of Elliot: Millenium Tales
Series X - Forza Horizon 6
Switch 2 - Star Fox Remake
Steam Deck - Slay the Spire 2
Expedition 33, Fatal Fury COTW, and Sonic Racing Cross Worlds
@MonkeyDLuffy19 oof! Not good! Our cats got a heart condition so she's an indoor cat, escaped into the back garden and had the whole family looking. Found her sat stock still under a big leaf. So I know how you feel
Been really enjoying the demo of The Adventures Of Elliot The Millennium Tales, so may buy it. Also want to grab Darwin's Paradox.
I'm still slogging away at Satisfactory; such an impressive and satisfying game, but it does sometimes feel like I'm working a second job.
Still grinding away at Rayman Legends’ daily challenges. Only four hundred and something cup-points left to go until I finally get that Platinum.
Vampire Survivors dropped some new free content, so I’ll hit that up.
And I’m also still playing Vampire Crawlers. I’ve got the itch to play something with a narrative though. Maybe TLoU Part 1; it’s worth a replay and I got hold of the PS5 version on disc for £5 when my local GAME got shut down a year or two back.
I've started Bioshock Infinite after finishing Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2.
Thus far I have played Helldivers 2 and Demeo x Dungeons and Dragons. The last round of H2 the Superhelldive got crazy because the rest of my team quit when we were on the verge of losing a very messy match. I don’t like losing but I like quitting less so I soloed for ten long minutes tackling mission objectives and mostly avoiding fights before a couple other divers jumped in and we finished the mission and extracted alive.
Demeo x Dungeons and Dragons is a squad based turned based game which is interesting because it has multiple campaigns at multiple difficulties and party member’s gains persist independent of the campaigns. Your party members abilities persist so it makes sense to tackle lower level campaigns with new heroes and work your way up. My current campaign I am using two veterans from a prior campaign (a dwarf fighter and a half dragon paladin) and two new characters (a human thief and a halfling magician). Of course it would be easier to use just veterans but less interesting.
@Ravix You know what, you are right, and I apologise.
Absolutely burned out by all the BS around this, which says "time to log off for a bit". So I'll bid you a good weekend (of digital/physical gaming, or not gaming at all) and dip for a bit.
Finished Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. May do something quick or might just wait until Black Flag Resynced
Crimson Desert on PS5. Starting to fall in luv with it. Controls are clunky at times and I have to google/ u tube stuff so I know what I am doing but it is a brilliant game. A bit of Galaxy on fire 2 on iPad.
@psmr It definitely has an addictive quality to its loop but still pretty manageable as a side game. I never imagined putting so many hours into a game and have it never feel like a chore or all encompassing.
Started my 1st ever Final Fantasy game! Appreciate XVI is more action RPG and not your "typical" FF, nevertheless I am having a blast.
The cinematics, story and voices are great. And the combat is fairly easy to get to grips with.
Will I get a huge shock trying others after this?
System Shock 2 remaster. Physical version. Really enjoying it 😇
@ozkrmz yesss darktide just to many skatariii at the moment. Forza is amazing
Just started Outer Worlds 2. Similar to the first one but simply better in all aspects. At least so far. I needed a break from KCD2
@Northern_munkey
Go England. Best match of the WC that I’ve seen so far. Crazy good
@Puketapu yes indeed the boys did well. I thought it was going to be a tough one. Now it's Norway 🫣
@CosmicJester thanks glad my GF cheered up and the cat wasn't attacked or injured.
