Been house hunting today but back home now and somehow I've reached the 10th floor in Guilty Gear Strive. So to celebrate I will maybe take a break from it and finish the last 2 chapters of GotG which has been ok!

Excellent news to wake up to. I played the original a year before remake came out and aside from dated visuals it was great. I'm all for a trilogy taking the characters in a new direction.

Great interview, think I will start Cold Steel 2 soon as it's been a while since I finished the first one. Cracking game though and look forward to playing more in the series!

@ApostateMage you forgot stadia and Apple.

I'll pick up the Xbox dongle/stick for cheap, around 2030 and sub to gamepass 3 months for a quid. If any of the big hitters are actually out by then and if I'm still into gaming!

Silksong looks great though I'll get it on Switch and PS5.

@Kooky_Daisuke I'll get it on sale on PS5 at some point. Enjoyed the first one but it hasn't aged well.

10 out of 15, not too shabby.

I'll be checking out the changes in the recent patch for Guilty Gear Strive, approaching 200 hours in the game and can't get enough.

I'll definitely play it at some point, as I loved the remaster on PS4 and was blown away by part 2.

Would be nice if we see other Sony stuff at tonight's show though. We will see!

@Jayslow nothing wrong with being in your 40's.

I've still to play through Cold Steel 2-4, but too many games and other hobbies vying for my free time. Be nice to get through them all in my lifetime but you never know. I might get hit by a bus or something!

I recently bought the DLC on sale just so I could replay this one day with the new patch.

@thefourfoldroot1 Kids only play what other kids play these days and it's all about playing with friends. They tend to not sit and play single players as they can't scream down their headsets at other kids and even find them "boring" without the social aspects.

According to my nephews this and FIFA are the best games ever. Shows what little they know, as when it comes to online games Guilty Gear Strive, Rocket League and Genshin Impact are the best!

@Mikey856 hope you have a quick recovery, never good when you have holidays and you get sick/injured.

Won't be gaming much today as I'm going to see The Book of Mormon this Afternoon and then out for food. Might fit in some Guilty Gear matches, made it to the 9th floor for an evening, earlier in the week so that was an achievement for me as I don't consider myself great at fighting games. Maybe continue playing GotG this weekend, just picked it up again after playing GG exclusively for the past month and met Cosmo.

Nice outside as well, so I think we will walk to the theatre later on so I can get a pint 😀.

@Eldritch I didn't know it was still a thing and hadn't noticed in my 140 hour play through.

I didn't have a problem with performance mode when I played it but I'm intrigued to do a replay in new game + to see any difference. Certainly can't go back to resolution mode as it hurts my eyes and feels weird!

Looks interesting. This and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk could be great, now if Sega would give us a new JSR and Skitchin was remade or remastered that would be brilliant!

@tallythwack By patch I'm guessing you mean for HFW? It was a quick few seconds update and was announced off the back of the VR game so thematically made sense and it's something a lot of gamers were looking for.

All the games looked great to me I'm especially excited for FFXVI, Callisto Protocol,Resident Evil 4 and Horizon VR!

@Bismarck We are still waiting to hear what games you are playing that never chart? That you commented on in a similar article a wee while back. Please share so we can all run out and buy them and HFW is a damn fine game it's not our fault you aren't a fan of open world games!

@ErrantRob I'm like a yo-yo, I get so confident that I eventually get thrashing after thrashing but it's a lot of fun. I main Axl and that tends to wind some players up if they don't know his move set. But then players that know their stuff get me in a corner I'm pretty much done for.

I've been playing a lot of Guilty Gear Strive this week so maybe more of that. Someone got so upset with me beating them they messaged me through PSN 😂 I've somehow made it to the eighth floor which is an achievement for me. I might also continue with GotG and Flynn son of Crimson.

I love the Oled but play my PS5 more.
My wife enjoys playing Animal Crossing and MK8 on it and even bought one for our niece. It's a nice little machine. Maybe once I get through my insane backlog on PS5 I'll have to finally get stuck into BotW until then though it's great for keeping fit with ring fit adventure!

@Col_McCafferty I had a Pro and as much as I loved it, it was incredibly noisy. Moving to PS5 which is incredibly silent and the amazing exclusives we've had so far, oh and of course the DualSense. So those saying that a Pro is basically a PS5 are exaggerating just a tad.

Ring Fit Adventure on switch, it's part of my daily routine first thing in the morning in my quest to get in shape.

Started GotG and Flynn son of crimson on PS5 but away out for fresh air today will maybe play them tonight.

Will also be continuing to build the Lego Tallneck, done the base which looks great and the first part of the Tallneck.

@middyone I got the platinum in 140 hours without using fast travel but several stops for photoshoots. Loved the game and can't wait for DLC and the sequel. Currently getting my Horizon fix by building the Lego Tallneck!

Will be finishing off Yakuza 5 (story at least) what a rollercoaster this game has been. I've liked each game better than the last regardless of being outdated compared to 0 and kiwami 1/2.

Bought a few games in the sales recently and still have ER and GotG to play. Will see where the weekend takes me since I'm home alone for 2 nights.

Will definitely give Tribes and Curse a go, but FIFA isn't for me. Never been a football fan, Thank goodness for jukeboxes in the pub as 90 mins of watching that just bored me. Sitting under the t.v. watching grown men crying over it was always far more entertaining 😂

It's ok my wife can just have blankets and a hotwater bottle whilst I play my PS5 in the dark.

Still waiting for that must have game on Xbox before I buy one. I don't mind paying £10-£25 to indie devs for a good game, still saving money that way than buying another console and a sub to gamepass. They almost had me with the Ori games but I bought a switch Oled and got both games on cartridge!

At the end of the day it's about the games. I have no stake in which company has a bigger slice of the pie and Microsoft doing better will only push Sony to be better.

@thefourfoldroot how is the fist of the Northstar? I see it's only £7 so I might grab it.

Post game on Death's Door, which is excellent. Just finished Kiryu's part in Yakuza 5 the man is an absolute beast, so onto Saijima next. I also picked up OlliOlli World for something different and it sure is addictive.
