Wrapped up the story in Yakuza 6 last night. What an amazing series it is. Looking forward to all the other RGG games I've yet to play and have only just been announced. Not sure what game I'll play next!
Doesn't matter what it's called I'll buy everything from RGG studios. Phenomenal games. Just on the final stretch of Yakuza 6 now, all 7 entries so far have been some of the best I've ever played and the writing puts most movies to shame!
Living in a bit of an upheaval at the moment and doing some D.I.Y to the new house. PS5 is still in it's box but in my short bursts of downtime I've been playing Toem on switch. Perfect type of game after a hard day's graft.
@IonMagi I know that but that's what I'm saying it would fair better as an anime and Kat will be completely butchered. No place for a ditzy, scantily clad female in today's world at least not coming out of Hollywood.
@NEStalgia I need to play the Xenoblade games at some point. Saying FF is dead is a bit of a stretch though. My first was FFXV and I thought it was great, minus the bits cut and tacked on later approach. Since then I've played 7,9,10.1 and 7 remake and loved them all. Can't wait for remake part 2 and 16!
@NEStalgia Final Fantasy will never be that bad. Kids aren't interested in stories in games. They just want to shoot each other. It's all about the social aspect, at least from all the kids I know anyway. Always turn their nose up at the amazing games I try to introduce them to!
Judging by the comments this is a very marmite topic, same with when RGG announced Yakuza 7 being turn based rather than real time. I'm happy with any type of gameplay. As long as I'm drawn in by the characters and world building the gameplay no matter what type will just become second nature to me!
I'm sorry to hear you had such a traumatic childhood, I hope you got the help you needed. If playing kids games is your way of relaxing then that is perfectly fine. I highly recommend Astro's Playroom though. It's such a wonderful thing to experience and If you don't play the M rated Sony games then you would be none the wiser with the characters hidden around the levels!
@thefourfoldroot He won't even play Astro's playroom because it contains Easter eggs of mature games. Bit of an odd ball but each to their own I guess!
Should really be packing for moving house in two weeks time, but I'm sure I'll play Guilty Gear
Only a few matches away from moving up above floor 10, it'll probably not go my way though. Let's Rock this weekend everyone. Happy gaming!
Edit: Quick update I have reached the celestial floor. I'm in awe of myself. Won't be for long though 😂
@naruball The closest thing I can think of shooting wise would be Gears of War if your looking for a comparison. When Aloy has the big gun type weapons she removes from the bigger machines, it kind of feels like a gears game as she weighted down with those heavy weapons!
Starting to pack for the big house move at the end of the month. But off out to catch up with an old friend, whilst Mrs MightyDemon sorts out Xmas stuff (fingers crossed she gets rid of most of it.)
If I get a bit of time tonight maybe some Guilty Gear Strive.
Not really in a gaming mood today, might play something at some point. Going out later on to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary, being together for 10 years and having bought a house.
If I do play it'll probably be some Guilty Gear Strive!
I have something like 5 physical discs Elden Ring, GotG PS5. FFXV, The Last Guardian PS4 and Astrobot Rescue Mission PSVR.
The other 300+ games I have are all digital. when it comes to movies, t.v. and gaming I'll quite happily go the download/streaming route but try to make me use a kindle and it's not happening, got to be a physical hardcover book/ paperback if I'm not fussed about said book or struggle to track down hardcover copies.
@AFCC The art book is out around about the same time as this one. Release dates can be a bit all over the place but keep an eye on bookstores and Darkhorses web page to get an idea, tends to become more set in stone the closer to the placeholder we get.
Hopefully we get info on DLC soon, If we are getting any. Looking forward to the art book releasing in November. Can't go wrong with a hardcover Darkhorse book whether it's purely just art from a popular IP or a great comic series like my main man Hellboy!
Been making the most of my £3 top up to extra for the next month. Finished Stray, Lost Words: Beyond the page and Seasons after fall and just started The Last Stop.
Got the Plat for Seasons after Fall and will work on the others.
Finished it late last night with 7 hours 55 mins on the clock. Definitely do other runs to get the remaining trophies. Simple but fun game looks beautiful and great OST.
@NEStalgia I'm more excited for Rebirth, if I want it as it is I can replay the original FFVII. If LoUP1 is as good as part 2 in the gameplay department then I'm sold. Be great to play both back to back.
The person behind the tweet must have been sleeping, crazy men have literally been sending pictures of their manhood to Santa Monica Studio in anticipation of a single player game. Nobody would go that far over a multiplayer game.
Been a while since I've played Cuphead, initially got to the second Isle and beat the Candy House lady before stopping to play something else. DLC was worth it and tonight I beat the clown on Isle 2 and one of the smaller bosses on the new Isle.
Lost in Random and Guilty Gear Strive are my games for the weekend.
Want to give a shout-out to Neoncloud87 who messaged me over PSN last night to let me know that players like myself make him want to delete the game(Guilty Gear) 😂. I'm a zoner for my sins, he was playing as Anji and funny thing is I had my butt handed to me by 2 other Anji players earlier that night. Love when people get upset over a game!
Just regular for me, Thinking of not renewing once my sub is up in August. Will focus on my backlog which will keep me going for quite sometime and save some cash.
Better sidequests are a must. I'm sure they'll have improved upon an already great battle system, As for the story I hope square have the balls to go for it and surprise everyone even the naysayers.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 446
Trails of Cold Steel 2, 20 hours in and just finished in the Nord Highlands with only 3 members of class VII left to find. Such a great game.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Re: TV Show Review: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Netflix) - Hyperviolent Anime Is a Perfect 2077 Companion
Is the game worth playing now? I've stayed away since all the furore surrounding the game and can I watch this without having played the game?

Re: Falcom's Trails Series Tops 7 Million Sales
Awesome news, still need to play cold steel 2-4 but very much enjoyed the first one and looking forward to trails from zero.

Love that tagline "Feel a new real".
Re: Trails from Zero (PS4) - Classic JRPG Finally Comes West, and the Wait Has Been Worth It
This releases the same day as Tunic, will Pushsquare be reviewing that? I'll likely pick up both.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Business as Usual for Horizon Forbidden West in First Place
As this is a UK site can we have the word TRASH banned?
It's thrown about far to much by our American friends.

Re: Gravity Rush Also Getting a Movie, It's Claimed
@IonMagi feature length anime of Gravity Rush and they'll get my money.
Re: Gravity Rush Also Getting a Movie, It's Claimed
Anime please, and a 3rd game would be great!
Can't really imagine scantily clad women defying gravity being greenlit in Hollywood in today's climate.

The Pushsquare review said the game was roughly 3 hours long, therefore no need to have a trial that long!
Re: PS5, PS4's Hogwarts Legacy Will Bewitch Gamescom with Exclusive New Look
The best things about Harry Potter are that it got kids reading and John Williams film scores. Game does look alright though!

Re: Cult of the Lamb (PS5) - Deliciously Evil, Giddily Gruesome, and Bloody Brilliant
Added to my wish list. watched some of skill ups don't skip this video. you can make characters eat poop so it's a must play haha!

@F2P-F2P she doesn't look like that in the game 😂. Don't believe everything you see posted on twitter.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Horizon Forbidden West Soars Back to the Top
@Ooccoo_Jr I have the first one, I may have to grab the others a some point.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Horizon Forbidden West Soars Back to the Top
@Ooccoo_Jr why anyone wouldn't want this game is beyond me. It was fantastic, but you are right they probably sold it to pay for FIFA and V bucks.
