@Fenbops Yes! I've got that one on Switch. It's a lot of fun. It's not really straight golf though but still really good. I'm pretty sure they're currently working on a sequel which is actually tennis based.
I just want more of this kind of rpg sport games and from different creators. I love those classic GBC/GBA Mario golf/tennis games. Everybody's Golf on playstation as well. The modern Mario sports games on Switch all seem very disappointing unfortunately. Thankfully there's a couple of indies that clearly share my love for this style of game.
That tennis game is absolutely bloody awful. I honestly have idea how your reviewer gave it a 7. I don't care how little competition there is in the genre, a terrible game is a terrible game.
Edit: it was you Sammy! You must have been in a really generous mood or dying for a tennis game to play. I feel you on the last one. At this point I'd pay good money for a Top Spin remake.
If there's demand? There's been demand since they announced they wouldn't be on them. Or by "demand" do they mean once everyone's bought them for pc or mobile they'll put them on PS/Xbox so you can buy them again?
Looks interesting. Really like good dodge ball games. There was one on GBA that was pretty awesome. Not sold on this from the demo (the court looks really small) but the concept has piqued my interest.
I'd really love a nature photography game. It could be awesome with modern graphics. I remember there was one set in Africa on the ps3 but I never bought it.
Wonder if they'll just keep them doing re-releases or if they plan to let them make something of their own. Maybe have them update a bunch of the ps4 first party games to utilise the ps5 hardware. Bloodbourne first please....
Am I only one that felt this game was too clunky and cheap feeling to care about? I played it a little bit but Idk, it felt like a budget game with too much ambition. There's way too many games out there for me to bother with stuff like this. I guess if you're dying for a RPG along these lines it might do the job.
It looked terrible imo. Dream/hallucination stuff in media is a huge pet peeve of mine. Just a bunch sequences that don't matter because it's all a dream or vision. Random stuff occurs just because and everything looks weird. I hate it. This looks like a whole mode of it. No thanks.
They also call different cannon shot "bullets". I know it's a small thing but if you're making a pirate game and don't bother to have even the most basic knowledge of the genre it doesn't bode well for the final product Imo.
It's reviewing worse than my expectations. Such a shame. It looked like it had potential.
I had an inkling it wouldn't be great when I wasn't seeing a bunch of early gameplay impressions. If you've got a new IP and have faith in the final product if think you'd want to get it in the hands of some people a couple of weeks early so they can put out gameplay footage aNd let potential customers know it's a product worth being interested in. I didn't see anything like that. I think they knew what they had.
I was playing VF in Yakuza: Like A Dragon the other day. I think it was VF V. Is the series really that slow paced or is their something weird in the emulation in Yakuza? It felt so much slower than any fighting game I'm used to.
That's an interesting way to compete with gamepss. I don't hate the idea. Wouldn't pay more for it as I'm already subbed to too much stuff but for free I think it'd be a good value add. I've got Gamepass and an Xbox though so I'm happy with the games I get across both platforms services already.
Anyone else get the feeling that we're going to be having the same conversations we're having about Days Gone atm about this game in a couple of years?
@God_of_Nowt Who says the people that think this guy is a clown and those asking for petitions are the same people? You do realise that different people can express different opinions?
Looks interesting. In my experience the 2D plane skating games tend to fair better than attempts at full 3D when it comes to indy's. They're also far more limited though. Might give it a shot of it's the right price.
Noice. Always interested in card rogue lites. Monster Train is a great game in the genre for those that like Slay the Spire and are interested in trying another. I don't think it's as good as Spire but tbf that's like comparing other top down rogue lites to Binding of Isaac.
Wasn't their Rory McIlroy game rubbish? I'd say 2K has a strong advantage given they have the Tiger Woods branding and a developer that has been getting better and better at making golf games.
I'd prefer more PS2 stuff at this point. There's just not that much PSX stuff that I'm that interested in that hasn't been ported or remastered. MGS? Croc. Idk.
I'd also love for some of those ps3 HD collection games to get ported too. Sly, GoW, Jak etc.

Re: There's Talk of New Twisted Metal and WipEout Games for PS5
Any game for ps5 would be welcomed at this point...
Re: Abandoned App Patch Drops, Trailer Is the Same as Twitter Tease
You guys should really stop giving this stuff publicity. You're giving them exactly what they want. Ignore them and they'll go away.
Re: Abandoned PS5's Dev Insists It's Legit, Explains Trailer Delay
Why are we supposed to care? Literally the only thing I've heard about this "game" is nonsense like this.
Re: Take-Two Has a Trio of Unannounced Ports or Remasters in the Pipeline
Smugglers Run collection HD please. Only half joking.

Re: Dodgeball Academia (PS4) - Punchy Sports RPG Is Top Class
Played around 90 minutes on Xbox. Lots of fun and great art style. Now I want a golf and tennis version!

Re: Mini Review: Cotton Reboot! (PS4) - Spooky Cute-'Em-Up's an Elaborate and Accessible 2D Shooter
It looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately it's $55 in Australia which is too pricey for me for this kind of game. Maybe on deep discount.
Re: PS Store Summer Sale Discounts So Many Big PS5, PS4 Games
The first party PS5 games are now a few dollars less then last gen full retail games. Yay!
Re: Tencent Tables $1.3 Billion Takeover of Sackboy Dev Sumo Digital
That seems like a crazy ammount of money for a studio that has no IP's.

Re: Minions Come to Minecraft in Latest Crossover Collaboration
@Constable_What lol. Exactly what I was thinking. Middle aged Facebook mums from 2010 must be thrilled.
Re: Action Arcade Wrestling Grapples with PS4 from 10th August
@Tasuki
After their first two mobile games I'm really hoping 3rd times a charm.
Re: Action Arcade Wrestling Grapples with PS4 from 10th August
I'm hoping this is more of a No Mercy style game than it is a brawler.
Liking the cell shaded graphics. Looks really cool.
Re: Netflix Allegedly Plotting Gaming Service, and PlayStation Could Be a Partner
Urgh. Netflix is a pretty rubbish service these days. Would prefer for them to keep well away from games.
Re: Away: The Survival Series Is a Playable Nature Documentary Coming to PS5, PS4 Soon
Cool concept.
I'd really love a nature photography game. It could be awesome with modern graphics. I remember there was one set in Africa on the ps3 but I never bought it.
Re: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Is On a Roll In New Gameplay Trailer
I'm more excited for this game than I probably should be. Day one for me.
Re: Warner Bros Allegedly Looking to Offload NetherRealm, TT Games
Hopefully with their IPs. It would suck if they just sat on the IP like Konami does.
Re: Crown Trick Is a Rogue-Like RPG Where Enemies Only Move When You Do
Isn't that how dungeon crawler rpgs generally work?
Re: Sony Acquisition of Bluepoint Games Supposedly Leaked by Image Mistake

Re: Salt and Sacrifice Shares 10 Minutes of Brutal Gameplay
Absolutely. Definitely earned a day one buy after the last outing.
Re: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Targets PS5, PS4
Really hope it's a 1 and 2 remake.
Re: Talking Point: Was Ubisoft Forward a Show to Remember?
I didn't expect much. They delivered exactly that. Ubisoft is the most generic company in the AAA market.
Re: Far Cry 6 DLC Will Feature Previous Villains, Including Vaas
It looked terrible imo. Dream/hallucination stuff in media is a huge pet peeve of mine. Just a bunch sequences that don't matter because it's all a dream or vision. Random stuff occurs just because and everything looks weird. I hate it. This looks like a whole mode of it. No thanks.
Not to mention how much they overestimate how good their antagonists are. Yes, Vaas was excellent. The Tibet moantain guy was okay. The hillbilly was them trying way too hard and just ended being cliché af. It feels like they're trying to gaslight us into believing they're iconic characters people cares about. Sorry Ubisoft, banging on about how great they were doesn't make it so. It's really not a surprise coming from the people that think the final boss of generic protagonists, Aiden Pearce, is an iconic character...

Re: Sonic Origins Brings the Genesis Classics Back in a New Collection
Lol. I can't wait to buy the same games for the 8th time!
Re: Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate Is a More 'Adult' Dragon Quest, Has Player Choice, New Combat Style
Very interesting. I wonder how this will be recieved by long time fans.
Re: Mini Review: King of Seas (PS4) - A Slow But Seaworthy Pirate RPG
I played the demo on XBSX. Was not impressed. Terrible art style. Boring, cliché setting, story and dialogue that feels like a bad kids cartoon and the ship stuff felt like Sid Meier's Pirates! with none of the charm that made that game a classic.
They also call different cannon shot "bullets". I know it's a small thing but if you're making a pirate game and don't bother to have even the most basic knowledge of the genre it doesn't bode well for the final product Imo.

Re: Technical Issues Restrict Biomutant to Just 1080p, 60fps on PS5
@2cents It looks incredibly promising yet I'm worried you're spot on. Definitely waiting for impressions before I buy it.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Mass Effect Legendary Edition?
I'm in no rush to buy it. Played it before and the upgrade doesn't look like it'll blow my socks off so I'll just wait till it's really cheap.
Re: Subnautica: Below Zero (PS5) - Aquatic Open World Is Cooler Than Cool
So it's still a bit janky? That's a shame. Will probably wait for a deep sale.
Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Roguelike Returnal Off to Slower Start Than Other Sony Exclusives
I'm kind of interested in the game and refuse to pay the $125AUD asking price for it.

Cool. Very interested.

Re: Days Gone Director on Skipped Sequel: 'If You Love a Game, Buy It at F***ing Full Price'
If you want to make a sequel make a game that people want to play at launch, not months later on sale or free on PS plus.
Re: Ubisoft Dates E3 2021 Forward Event for 12th June
Crazy we're talking about e3 already. This year is flying past.
Re: Skate City Brings Its Chill Skateboarding Action to PS4 on 6th May
Looks interesting. In my experience the 2D plane skating games tend to fair better than attempts at full 3D when it comes to indy's. They're also far more limited though. Might give it a shot of it's the right price.
Re: Rise of the Slime Is a Cheerful Card-Battling Rogue-Lite Coming to PS5, PS4 This Summer
Noice. Always interested in card rogue lites. Monster Train is a great game in the genre for those that like Slay the Spire and are interested in trying another. I don't think it's as good as Spire but tbf that's like comparing other top down rogue lites to Binding of Isaac.
Re: Mini Review: Cozy Grove (PS4) - A Relaxing Little Life Sim That's Worth Sticking With
Animal Crossing mixed with with Spiritfarer? I'm interested but probably on discount or Gamepass.
Re: New Returnal PS5 Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Some Creepy Enemies and Bosses
Doesn't look $125AUD good...
Re: EA Sports Announces Next-Gen Golf Game, After 2K Sports Went All-In with Tiger Woods
Wasn't their Rory McIlroy game rubbish? I'd say 2K has a strong advantage given they have the Tiger Woods branding and a developer that has been getting better and better at making golf games.
Re: PlayStation Emulation Patent Raises Hopes of Retro Support
I'd prefer more PS2 stuff at this point. There's just not that much PSX stuff that I'm that interested in that hasn't been ported or remastered. MGS? Croc. Idk.
