Part 3 is probably one of my most anticipated games. Nostalgia definitely played a huge part in me enjoying the first two so much. Getting to Cosmo Canyon and seeing it in full 3D with the music kicking in… loved it.
Playing through the single player campaign right now and it’s surprisingly decent. Be jumping back into the multiplayer mode later tonight! Great so far!
I’m playing the Battlefield 6 campaign and Expedition 33 during the day today with possibly some Borderlands 4 co-op this afternoon. Then tonight I’ll be playing some Battlefield 6 Multiplayer with my brothers and hopefully Sea of Theives as well.
Tomorrow I’ll be continuing with Expedition 33 and also playing some Bye Sweet Carole and also (if I have time) starting Finding Paradise, which is the sequel to To the Moon.
I haven’t really played a military campaign in a while. I stopped playing COD years ago so for me it’ll be a slight change up from what I’ve been playing recently. Hopefully I’ll enjoy it. Obviously MP is the main focus but I was also looking forward to the campaign.
Sounds good to me, though I actually really enjoyed Return to Moria. Usually I tend to only play survival games co-op but I played Moria through to the end on my own.
Alan Wake 2 is a great game. It took a while to click but I enjoyed my play through even though I had no clue what was going on story wise.
Goat Simulator 3 is also good and definitely worth a try. Co-op is a laugh too. Even if you think it’s silly or it isn’t your sort of game I wouldn’t dismiss it seeing as it’s free and you may be pleasantly surprised.
I bought Son & Bone for about £8 and at first I was enjoying it. Now I’m on level 4 of 6/7 and it’s getting too repetitive. The environments are bland and way too large and you don’t really get any sort of rewards for exploring so it’s just alot of running about for nothing. Don’t even get me started on the climbable vines and jumping between them! But I can’t leave a game unfinished so I’ll be playing that to the end.
I played it on Quality mode last night because I don’t mind 30fps and after 3 hours I didn’t experience any frame rate drops. I’m sure it will get worse as the game opens up and gets more crazy but so far I’ve been really enjoying the game. And I agree that the open world is a big improvement over the previous games.
Conscript is actually a really good survival horror game that I recommend. It focuses more on the horrors of war as opposed to zombies or monsters, but it has a similar gameplay style to the original Resident Evil games only with a top down isometric view.
I agree with many of the comments above! Also I Just played the POOLS demo and I was very impressed by that. Thought Chernobylite was a really good looking game too.
My brother keeps telling me it’s good so I may have to try it one day! Though, he also told me the same thing about Unknown 9 and I didn’t enjoy that game.
Finally getting around to Pacific Drive which I’ve owned for a while now. Was worried I wouldn’t enjoy the gameplay loop but I’m having a blast. Also the rain and storm effects are some of the best I’ve seen.
Also some Coral Island co-op. It’s Basically Stardew with diving. I love it!
@ECharles Give the demo a try. It’s actually pretty decent. I wouldn’t discount it because a random person told you he thought it was crap.
In my opinion it was definitely more enjoyable then the Lost Souls Aside Demo.
I played Dragons Dogma 2 and the frame rate issues didn’t bother me one bit despite people claiming it’s a mess. So here’s hoping it’s the same for this game.
I’ve put well over 100 hours into Stardew Valley so if you’re into that type of game and haven’t played it (highly unlikely) you’ll be getting your moneys worth with that alone
@Cakefish I recently finished the Zero Dawn Remaster and if you mean pausing the game and going into the inventory to craft ammo, you can do it from the weapon wheel. Unless bringing that up is what you meant, In which case ignore me!
Been addicted to New World Aeternum so will be playing that most of Sunday. Also playing some Oppidum Co-op later, which is a surprisingly good, although slightly simplistic survival game. Want to get it out the way so we can crack on with the new Coral Island co-op mode.
Continuing and hopefully finishing my play through of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Then I’ll be moving onto Alone in the Dark or Beyond Hanwell I haven’t decided yet!
I recently beat the game in shared multiplayer and really enjoyed it. I must admit that changing between realms was cool at first but it got old quickly so I don’t think that’s needed again. Also the auto save stuttering was ridiculous in co-op making some of the boss fights more difficult then they should have been.
@Zeroo MGS 3 Remake, Digimon Time Story, Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, Outer Worlds 2, Borderlands 4, Gears of War, Lost Souls, Sonic Racing Just to name a few more. It’s all down to personal taste and just because these games don’t interest you doesn’t mean other people aren’t looking forward to them. There’s no denying that the end of this year is jam packed with games.
Really enjoyed the beta quite a bit. I still enjoy 2042 to this day but it’s hard going back to it after playing BF6. I love all the additions to the gameplay like peeking around corners, running when crouched and also being able to drag people when you’re reviving them. I also like how much grittier the maps looks now as opposed to 2042 where everything seems to clean and neat. Also, while still pretty limited, the destruction is really cool looking when it happens.
I did notice in a few matches on one of the smaller maps that players somehow found a way onto the roof giving them a really good vantage point. Pretty sure you’re not supposed to be up there and they made use of a glitch because I noticed people complaining about it in the chat.
I really tried to get into this game multiple times. I like the idea of it but the execution is awful in my opinion. The world is boring with empty buildings, the looting is lacklustre and the inventory management is a pain with a controller. There doesn’t even seem to be a good amount of zombies. I’ve only played about 19 hours or so but it’s such a slow burn start that I had to stop playing. The game may get better later on.
7 Days to Die is infinitely better for what it’s worth and I highly recommend that.
If it’s 13 hours of solid gameplay without anything shoehorned in to extend the games run time I’m all for it, even at full price. Everyone complaining about bloated games recently should at least support the developers going in the opposite direction.
Say what you want about 2042, but I can’t recall the game ever dipping below 60fps. That’s with 120 players, explosions, vehicles, tornadoes and all sorts going on. So if they’re lowering the player count and making the maps smaller I’d be surprised if the game doesn’t run flawlessly.
@Balaam_ I get that you’re really into trophies and won’t play anything you can’t 100% but have you ever thought about making a second profile to play all the games you don’t expect to plat? Atleast then you can have fun once in a while without gaming feeling like a chore.
@rjejr Assuming you’re on about the earth segment in the second game, the shooting is for that part only. After that it’s back to slicing and dicing. If you enjoyed it up until that point I recommend going back and giving the game another try.
I look forward to trying it out! I didn’t watch the live stream but does anyone know what the max player count in a game is? Did they reduce it back down to 64?

Re: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 (PS5) - A Disastrously Paced, Technical Mess of a Sequel
That’s one less game to buy I suppose. Or maybe I’ll give Outer Worlds 2 a try instead.
I’ll definitely get it on sale one day though as I have enjoyed janky games before. Alpha Protocol comes to mind. Loved that game.
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2025 on PS5, PS4 Leaked
I’ve been wanting to play the PS5 version of Until Dawn but couldn’t justify buying it, so this is good for me atleast.

Edit: Also, how do I put text into bold?
Re: Battlefield 6 Server Queues Are Absolutely Humongous on Launch Day
I loaded up the game and went from 6000 to 0 in about 20 seconds and got in. It’s not that bad.
Re: From a Presentation Perspective, Bye Sweet Carole Is Among PS5's Best
It’s definitely more fun to play than it is to watch. It’s sort of a mix between old school point and click games and clock tower. Really good so far.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 601
I’ll be playing some CO-OP Coral Island later tonight, which is an amazing game.
Tomorrow I’ll be finishing up Alien Rogue Incursion which even in non VR was really good! Definitely worth £20.
Then later tomorrow night I’ll be playing Borderlands 4 CO-OP which I am loving! There’s so much to do and the open world is fun to explore.
After all that I’ll probably just sit around and wait for Battlefield 6 to be released!

What I think is great is that you can get both Hell is Us AND Silksong for the same price as a single AAA game. Slightly cheaper, even.
