Am I missing something. I played the beta and did the on rails opening and then beat the boss and it ended? Is there more to it?
On a side note MH has always been a game I’ve wanted to enjoy but I’ve never liked how much of a damage sponge the bosses are. I know that’s probably part of the appeal but it gets really tiring chasing them around a map for 30mins. It’s a shame because if it didn’t take so long I’d enjoy the series I think.
I’m still enjoying BF2042 now. The new maps have been an improvement and the reworks are much appreciated. I’m still impressed with the scale of it all. I spend most of my time running back to the objective after respawning so I get to appreciate all the action from a far and it still looks really good today
I went to sign up for this but the queue time was over an hour
I’ve finally put Eiyuden Chronicles to one side after 80 hours. Was an amazing game.
Just started Dragon Age The Veilgaurd and while after 3 or so hours it hasn’t gripped me yet, graphically it’s a pretty impressive game. The combat is decent too but so far the exploration is rather linear.
Also gonna play some 4-player co-op Generation Zero which I think is a hugely underrated game.
After 51 hours I think I’m finally gonna beat Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes. Just got one more optional character to unlock and then it’s just story stuff until the end. There’s so much more to do though so I definitely won’t be done with the game.
Also Raft Co-op tonight which is great, but it does seem quite short compared to most survival games.
I bought the game on sale and played the beginning and so far so good! The graphics are top notch and I’ve never seen such luscious hair in a game! The combat from what I’ve seen is also really good
Continuing with Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes which I’m still really enjoying. I’m loving all optional stuff you can do such as cards and a Beyblade type of game. Also recruiting characters and building up your castle town is satisfying too.
I’ll also be playing co-op raft, which aside from trophies not popping for anyone but the host, is an amazingly addictive survival game that was definitely worth the wait.
Also might be finishing up Journey to the savage planet co-op which I knew nothing about going into it. Turns out it’s actually a pretty good game.
Lastly I’ll be playing Hunt Showdown between all that which I’ve gotten into quite a bit recently. I can’t think of anything else like it on PS. It’s probably the most tense MP game I’ve played, I’m always on edge!
@kcarnes9051 while Keanu Reeves is a A-List celebrity I personally think his acting is definitely lacklustre a lot of the time. He was a good choice for John Wick because he only really says a line or two at a time. I think Nathan Fillion is a much better actor.
I played and finished the game in co-op and while I enjoyed it, it definitely got very repetitive towards the end. The best part of the game is very early on when you’re walking through a museum or something. The lights are off and your team is getting picked off one by one by Batman. For a moment it didn’t feel like a live service game.
Phasmaphobia is one of my fav multiplayer games right now. If they could just add some sort of voice recognition like the PC version it would be even better!
@tameshiyaku I’m playing the game right now and really enjoying it. But as far as pro upgrades go it’s a major disappointment. Lots of shimmering, foliage disappearing and reappearing. Blurry image. I don’t have a vrr tv either so I’m noticing plenty of Framerate drops too in busier areas. If the game ran smooth I could look past the image quality.
I had a blast playing this morning. All seems very hectic so far and with so many characters I have no idea who’s doing what move or how someone is gonna kill me. I’m gonna stick with it because I had fun and it’ll be good once I get used to the characters moves and abilities
It looks good, but I dont like the idea of paying for an unfinished game with potential bugs and teething issues as opposed to waiting and getting the full finished game with less to no issues for free.
I heard Dark Descent is quite difficult so I refused to pay for it in case I gave up. I’ll give it a go now though. As for the other two games, both really good! I beat It Takes Two with my brother and the sheer variety of the things you do and items you use is amazing. The game never gets dull or repetitive.
I’ve also put a lot of hours into Temtem and it is a very good Pokémon alternative. I liked the graphics but wasn’t a fan of the colour scheme in most areas though. It was all too bright!
There’s a difference between a crap month and a month with games you’re not interested in. These are 3 well regarded games that all offer something different
Continuing with Starwars Outlaws which I’m enjoying quite a bit.
I also bought the most random game ever - Alfred Hitchcocks Vertigo for £2.60 out of pure curiosity and so far it isn’t that bad. It plays like Heavy Rain and the story seems pretty decent so far. Can’t say the same about the voice acting and sound quality though.
Basic stealth sections that actually make no sense when you think about it
Replaying the same levels multiple times
Replaying missions to unlock a rarity and again towards the end of the game if you want the true ending
The constant stop and start during gameplay. Dialogue/cutscene. Move forward a few steps. More dialogue/another cutscene
Minimal voice acting
90% of the story is told through static text drops. You don’t even meet one of the characters you unlock. There’s just a lot of text and they join you out of nowhere.
Jarring cuts from cutscene FMV’s to in game graphics
Got the platinum trophy last week so some new content is good! Was really hoping they’d fix the textures on the original map before working on new ones. Some of the worst textures I’ve seen this generation.
Pretty disappointing really. Playing Star Wars Outlaws at the moment and it’s really underwhelming. There’s a lot of shimmering and the overall image doesn’t look that clean. Wouldn’t be so bad if the frame rate was a locked 60fps but it dips from time to time. All the sony games look great, but having watched a few digital foundry videos it’s clear PSSR needs work, even in their games.
Continuing with SlitterHead after having to restart due to the trophy tracker not tracking certain trophies. This meant I couldn’t get the trophies for anything that kept count because it would just stay on 0%.
I still don’t understand the casting of Jack Black to be honest. I like him and definitely won’t be watching this movie, but it’s still an odd choice for Steve.
@t0nyth3t3rrific if it gets more people playing the game, then the update wasn’t a waste. Even if people already bought it they still might recommend it to friends after finally playing it.
I think this game was very underrated. I preferred it to the Dead Space remake and actually thought the melee combat was really good and satisfying. Just tried the pro update and graphically it’s still one of the best looking games this gen.
I’m still curious how the multiplayer works. It sounds very Animal Crossing where you invite people to your world but don’t actually create one together.
Star Wars outlaws is incredibly disappointing on pro too, with worse image than the base PS5 quality mode. Doesn’t even hit a consistent 60fps either.
I expected still having the choice between Quality and Performance when I got a Pro. Didn’t think I’d actually have to choose between Pro or base PS5 on certain games
@zhoont I tried the Dead Rising Demo with added ray tracing on pro and it played worse than the demo did on the regular PS5. These extra features sound good, but why add them if the game can’t run smoothly.
I’ve been doing the transfer over wi-fi and it had an estimated time of 1 hour. Over 12 hours later and it’s only on 84%. My internet is usually pretty good so I don’t understand why it’s taking so long.
I wanted to cancel and just dl my saves via cloud, but heard that could corrupt data.
@breakneck yeah, this is the same where ever you go. People are more likely to voice their complaints and criticisms which make most comment sections on the internet a place of negativity. If I buy an item online and it works exactly like I hoped I’m not gonna leave a review. If, however it wasn’t what I wanted or didn’t work as intended I’m going to leave a negative review. It’s the same with games, and this is how it’s always gonna be.

Re: Open World RPG Fantasy Life i Officially Announced for PS5, PS4, Alongside May Release Date
So is co-op specifically for the dungeons? or the whole game?
Re: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii PS5 Demo Available Now
Gave it a try and it was fun. Does anyone else have a problem with the games HDR? The blacks are really black and the whites are super bright.
Re: PS Plus Copies of Days Gone Won't Offer Cheap $10 Upgrade to New PS5 Version
@VaultGuy415 I think the £10 upgrade will apply to that because I can upgrade Horizon Zero Dawn and I’m pretty sure I got it the same way.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 567
Gonna crack on with Dragon Age The Veilguard which I’m having a decent time with.
Also going to give Small Land a try in co-op. It’s the only survival game on PS we haven’t tried yet so fingers crossed it’s good!

I put over 100 hours into Valhalla and I loved it. Looking forward to Shadows.
Re: Code Violet Takes Aim at Dinosaur Horror in June on PS5
Bit of a strange decision not bringing it to PC considering all the footage in the trailer is captured on PC.

I’ll give it a watch, definitely
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 563
My single player game is Eiyuden Chronicles hundred heroes which is really good so far.
Also playing co-op, mopping up some trophies on grounded before moving on to raft. Really look forward to it.

Elderscrolls 6
Gears of War
Fable

How are the trophies? The Tomb Raider Trilogy had a crazy amount that you really had to go out of your way to get, also with no plat on PS5

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 555
Got Astro bot on sale last weekend for £44.99 so I’ll be continuing with that. It’s nice to play an upbeat colourful game for once!
Might make a start on Slitterhead too.
Multiplayer wise I’ll be playing some Palworld and maybe Phasmaphobia.
Re: Dead Rising Remaster Adds PS5 Pro Support, Casual Mode
