Re: PlayStation Consoles to Stop Getting Disc-Based Physical Releases in 2028

Judal27

Not the kind of news I wanted to wake up to lol. Admittedly it's not that damning for me cause I've been shifting towards digital for a while now but getting rid of another option for consumers is so utterly ridiculous. No doubt we'll never get any real communication from them for their baffling decision. Just the usual we're doing great and we believe we're making the right choices

Re: Talking Point: Is GTA 6's Dodgy Ultimate Edition a Deal-Breaker?

Judal27

@NerdyPaul but is there proof there won't still be multiple different cosmetic shops in the base game? If yea then sure that's cause for concern for the game itself anyway (I doubt most would follow suit even if this game becomes a monster success). But if not, then I really see this as no different than an ultimate edition coming with its own exclusive cosmetics. Which still sucks and has always sucked but not any more so

Re: Talking Point: Is GTA 6's Dodgy Ultimate Edition a Deal-Breaker?

Judal27

That just sounds like the cosmetics of other games' ultimate editions just in the form of having to actually walk into said shops in the world to claim the cosmetics lol. And I have issue with it in the same way I've always had issues with said versions of other games. This doesn't seem any more nefarious

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for June 2026?

Judal27

It was boring as hell to watch but some of the new announcements were cool. Until Dawn 2 in particular cuz the 1st one is awesome altho it did kinda look worse for some reason lol. The god of war game looked surprisingly good but considering ive not touched a single gow game, I'm obviously not playing it any time soon. The Dino game also looks interesting. Overall it was not watch at a theater quality tho

Re: Rumour: Dragon Quest Has Multiple Major Reveals Lined Up for Its Big Day This Week

Judal27

@glennthefrog I do think it could go either way, leaning more towards HD2D. Altho thinking on it a little more, 5 had a 3D version already so I could definitely see them doing more of a 7 Reimagined for it. But tbh im just a little sad at the prospect, that if they were to do 2D versions, they'd be more like the HD2D games and less like the DS ports which I loved a lot

Re: Hands On: The Adventures of Elliot Fixes My Biggest Problem with Square Enix's Modern RPGs

Judal27

I'm not sure I agree with what ur saying about the dialog and story at all especially if the characters are engaging and entertaining. I'm more than willing to sit thru every party member saying 8 variations of "yea lets do this!" when i know its paying off. But my problem with team asano games in particular is how painfully generic and mundane the stories and writing are. Even the art style

Re: Poll: One Year Later, Did Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Deserve All the Praise?

Judal27

It's not that it doesn't deserve the praise. It's just kinda eye roll worthy knowing there's so many jrpgs, as good if not better, that will never be given the same amount of praise or attention simply for being anime and Japanese. It's a great game but in that sense, it really does nothing that special. Yet the praise would have you believe its this entirely unique take on the genre never before seen, and it's just a really good non Japanese jrpg

Re: Opinion: I Played Kingdom Hearts for the Very First Time, Here's What I Liked and What I Didn't

Judal27

They're really not hard to follow, outside of maybe the mobile games stuff, and not messy anymore now that they're all bundled up in collections. Just play them in the intended order and it makes sense. Whether you like the story being told in these games is another matter. But it has a lot of great moments and it's easy to get invested in the characters. Add to that, genuinely fun action combat and worlds to explore, and amazing music and you get a good ongoing series

I honestly think 1 is my least favorite just cuz of the simple (and clean) story it had. The other games give it that "nomuras wild ride" reputation which I personally love. But to give 1 credit, it had the most fun exploration for a long while till 3 finally surpassed it. It had a good amount of interactivity and verticality that pretty much every other game, except maybe dream drop distance, didn't have

Re: '$1,000+ Consoles Could Become the Norm': PS6's Price Touted to Touch Four Figures

Judal27

For that price itd have to really stop being a walled garden kinda like what this project helix is touting while also keeping exclusives, exclusive. If it's just gonna limit what you can do with your hardware while costing very similar if not the same as a pc. Then you might as well go for pc. At least that's what I would do.

As someone with a ps5 and pc already, I dont think I would want to pay another grand for something that likely won't offer me nearly as much as what a pc does
