Re: Poll: One Year Later, Did Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Deserve All the Praise?

Judal27

It's not that it doesn't deserve the praise. It's just kinda eye roll worthy knowing there's so many jrpgs, as good if not better, that will never be given the same amount of praise or attention simply for being anime and Japanese. It's a great game but in that sense, it really does nothing that special. Yet the praise would have you believe its this entirely unique take on the genre never before seen, and it's just a really good non Japanese jrpg

Re: Opinion: I Played Kingdom Hearts for the Very First Time, Here's What I Liked and What I Didn't

Judal27

They're really not hard to follow, outside of maybe the mobile games stuff, and not messy anymore now that they're all bundled up in collections. Just play them in the intended order and it makes sense. Whether you like the story being told in these games is another matter. But it has a lot of great moments and it's easy to get invested in the characters. Add to that, genuinely fun action combat and worlds to explore, and amazing music and you get a good ongoing series

I honestly think 1 is my least favorite just cuz of the simple (and clean) story it had. The other games give it that "nomuras wild ride" reputation which I personally love. But to give 1 credit, it had the most fun exploration for a long while till 3 finally surpassed it. It had a good amount of interactivity and verticality that pretty much every other game, except maybe dream drop distance, didn't have

Re: '$1,000+ Consoles Could Become the Norm': PS6's Price Touted to Touch Four Figures

Judal27

For that price itd have to really stop being a walled garden kinda like what this project helix is touting while also keeping exclusives, exclusive. If it's just gonna limit what you can do with your hardware while costing very similar if not the same as a pc. Then you might as well go for pc. At least that's what I would do.

As someone with a ps5 and pc already, I dont think I would want to pay another grand for something that likely won't offer me nearly as much as what a pc does

Re: Dev Pledges to Make Crimson Desert 'Even More Enjoyable' as It Sells Over 3 Million Copies in First Week

Judal27

I might pick it up soon. I just finished 100%ing nioh 3, which is my goty and I have no clue what to play next so I might start this. I'm a little scared cuz of the claims of how big it is, I dont want this being one of the only games I play for the rest of 2026 😂

But since I'm hearing the story is abysmal dog dookie, I'll play it here and there just to explore with no rush like I do the open world Zelda games

Re: 'What the F*ck Are We Doing Here?': PS5 Fans Slam Square Enix for Sloppy Multiformat Strategy

Judal27

Those guys aren't even ps5 fans per se, they're multiplat owners baffled that a 3rd party multiplat dev hasnt been porting some of its games to one of the bigger platforms, after saying they will aggressively pursue being multiplat, rather than trying to pull gotchas on people who agree with a console manufacturer allegedly wanting to stop devaluing their platform by keeping its 1st party single player games exclusive

This doesn't affect me but it's sad to see after the awesomeness that was ffxvi. That said, this happened with octopath 1 and triangle strategy. It really wasn't all that surprising another game associated with asano was gonna go thru the same thing

Re: Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (PS5) - Capcom's Monster Taming RPG Soars to New Heights

Judal27

The demo convinced me to give the series from the start a chance and im glad I did. Can't imagine how awesome 2 and 3 are gonna be if the 3ds game is already a ton of fun to play

It's weird how similar in gameplay loop it feels to the main series. Fight and tame mons, get their parts to build your gear and fight and tame new mons with said gear to build even more gear lol

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 623

Judal27

Finally finished the main game for DK Bananza. As much as I thoroughly enjoyed it, man do I wish it had the same energy and creativity that it had in the last 4 or 5 layers. Gonna finish up all the post game content, some of which amped up the difficulty so much lol

Also started Pokopia, its been a lot more fun than I expected building the different habitats and seeing all sorts of pokemon pop up. And am now in the process of trying to make slowpoke yawn 😂

Still making my way thru Nioh 3. This is likely my goty so far. Ive adored every area in terms of exploration and level design. Difficulty is just right. It hasn't slowed down yet

And last, still slowly making my way thru MH Stories 1. Knocking out all the side quests with my black diablos before I leave the desert
