I started Horizon Forbidden West while I still had the chance before it leaves plus. And already the gameplay feels so much better than the 1st game. It's a shame the story, dialog and characters just don't do anything for me, to the point I want to just skip cutscenes
I'm also continuing Dave the Diver. And it's so addicting, it's hard to stop playing when I get on it
The npcs were a little too good in Rise Sunbreak. So much so I stopped using them unless it was to grind MR which honestly is what Rise/Sunbreak's endgame basically amounted to so I haven't felt as compelled to play the game. I really hope this version improves upon it
Yikes I guess I'll be fiddling around with forbidden west this week. Can't be bothered to buy it when really all I want is just to fight some of the new robots and see how the graphics look in person
Man I love seeing all the different weapons and the badass moves you can pull of with them, only for me to instalock the longsword each and every game ðŸ˜
@Nepp67 I only agree when it comes to the story. But from a gameplay, atmosphere, and world building/design standpoint, there's never enough bloodborne lol
I just picked up SMTV Vengeance. And the differences are like night and day between ps5 and switch ðŸ˜. No headaches in the yellow desert so far. Time to see how the red and blue deserts fair. I wish this was my first experience with the game
No I really like the way they approach combat. But a lot of those games you listed I don't consider "soulslike" at all. Especially the 2D ones like salt and sanctuary
Soulslike to me is basically just being almost a carbon copy of From's Souls series which isn't a bad thing as long as it's good. So stuff like lies of p and code vein definitely fall under that
This actually looks pretty fun. I just wish it had released sooner. Cause it just feels like this is gonna be Bleach Storm 1 when I know there's most likely gonna be a Bleach Storm 4 with all the actual characters I care to play as in the future or they'll do dlc packs and that's just lame
Didn't get a chance to play it yet but hopefully today start Jeanne D'Arc on the side while I'm still chugging away at Shadow of the Erdtree. Haven't been able to make as much progress as I would like. Hopefully there are no distractions this weekend
7 but maybe a 6. I'm loving the different characters and factions. The character designs are top notch. Im actually kinda sad some of them are stuck in this game instead of any other better game. Combat is fairly simple but fun. The TV puzzles can be kinda repetitive but never really overly long. It's a fun game to play in short bursts
Lol he made the girl look worse in that first post ngl
I do find it very slightly weird how darker skinned people seemingly don't exist in the game but I don't care. I'm absolutely rolling for chasca and mauvika
Only played the 1st 2 and it's how I'd place them. Stellar Blade just needed a better story with way more character moments and interactions and it would have been a harder choice for the top spot. But overall it was fun ride. And Rebirth, aside from the ending, managed to hit close to what I would imagine an FF7 remake to be like. I don't think there was ever a moment where I was even a little bored
Looking forward to playing DD2 now that it's been patched some
I feel like the comments are being unusually critical of this game. Thought the 2nd cinematic was pretty good albeit cliche with humbling the younger gen with lore. But that 1st one was so lame
These are only the 1st 2 so maybe I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But then OWs first few cinematics were leagues better and put these to shame lmao
Welp played 2 matches. Haymar felt way too slow. I thought I chose some beefy tank for a second. The grandma has a cool kit but feels like she barely does any damage and also too slow
The intro cutscene was pure marvel cringe. But I actually enjoyed the one about the homage stuff. The character designs are abysmal. I've never seen a more awful cast of characters except maybe that destruction all stars game or whatever its called. Why are western devs so scared of designing Hoyo tier characters 😂
@get2sammyb I think the other 2 had variety in their v1s more than ZZZ but I also think it's probably due to the nature and type of genres they are. Genshin feels like a full open world and honkai a meaty jrpg that happen to have the usual mobile trappings that come with gacha game play like the limited energy to do certain activities. While ZZZ really feels like a mobile gacha game that happens to have 3d combat. It has a hub but it's not really as engaging or interactive as honkai's maps
And while the combat is still pretty fun. It also feels more restrictive than genshin's despite having a similar basic atk, skill, ult moveset. They limited it to 3 character switching. And there's only 5 elements so far. Knowing the game is just gonna get more bigger later on is one of the things that's keeping me playing tbh. I'm really curious to see how they're gonna expand upon it. Also cause the artstyle and character designs are top tier lol
Honestly I truly find the game just ok. It doesn't really have the variety that both genshin and honkai have. And I told myself I'd only play around in it a little but I find myself really enjoying my time with it every time I log on and already planning and saving my rolls for characters I really want
I'm not sure if that's a good thing cause I really don't want to juggle a third hoyo game but it's fun 😂. I fear for when wuthering waves and project mugen are out
As far as I've played and can tell, no other atlus series has romance other than persona. And this is not even a spin off of it. So idk why it's a big deal or why someone would even go into this expecting it to have romance options
It wouldve been neat to have I guess. It's not something I think about a lot when I think of persona but I wouldn't have been opposed to it being in this game
Not so much put off but certainly wary of a game if it is. I understand not wanting to spend hours upon hours to make little or no progress. But I don't, constantly complaining about a lack of easy mode in From games when the director has already stated multiple times that he doesn't want to do that
I'll have to play more. Only played 1 match but it felt insanely long and drawn out despite the rounds being so short cause 5 deaths just need to happen from either side to win. And as far as this match is concerned nobody cared about the objectives it might as well have been tdm with respawns
A good game that could've and should've been even better. With the story being a letdown despite it still having a good cast with amazing moments sprinkled in. It also could've used more engaging side activities with fulfilling rewards. It was still fun as he'll running around the gorgeous world to hunt monsters tho. I still had a fun time with it overall but it wasn't what I was hoping for it to be
Bloodborne The Old Hunters: just beat Lady Maria and now onto the next area
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: still in the very early starting area. Found a boss while exploring the I thought would be a cake walk. I mean he kinda was but he was killing me in 2 hits if I wasn't careful. All the enemies hit like a truck so far
Yup altho still right at the very start. And it looks gorgeous. But I also was playing through bloodbornes dlc and have been extremely addicted to it. So idk how I'm gonna be alternating between the 2 dlcs lol
At least for me, it's cause MH Wilds hasn't shown off anything truly exciting yet with the 2 new trailers it got. It's absolutely gonna be an amazing game no doubt, but I'm looking forward for when they can actually release a meaty gameplay trailer
I'm so looking forward to this but its been so hard to get back into the game and i think it might be due to how daunting the open world really is. In the meantime, I've been playing the old hunters and it quickly reminded me why bloodborne is in my top 10 games of all time
I feel like we barely just got to penacony and we're already almost leaving it. By far the best planet and I'll be sad to see the music, atmosphere, setting, etc go
Especially if it's true we're going back to shipping containers planet. That's depressing
@Ralizah about it couldve being so much more than it was, its how i feel about its story a lot (And a lot of other games in general lately). With the way they set up the 2nd story arc, I think the characters and world building definitely needed more time to cook. But I also get that's kinda hard to do in an already +80 hrs plus game. But all the different factions really could have used more screen time. It would have been so cool to see an actual all out war between them. And yea dazai towards the end was so random and out of the blue 😂
If they don't take even a little of smtv level design into P6 ima be so disappointed especially since it has more liberty with its aesthetic and themes not being super tied to angels vs demons in an apocalyptic/post apocalyptic setting
I absolutely love the little series references and hope they don't completely do away with them here or in the future. Seeing monster hunter bots at a camp with the awesome weapon types and alucard bot in a coffin or the buster sword is part of what put a big smile on my face playing it
@Ralizah tbh I have almost the same issues but I still couldn't help but love it to the point I'd give it a 9 cause the music and atmosphere, and the verticality of the maps along with the fantastic demon designs and cool animations made exploring and combat so fun. Even with the headaches I'd get from the performance issues
And while I'll always wish smt would have much better story and writing, I think I'll just have to take it the way I take souls games' stories. Just there to have some sort of reason for the protagonist to progress through the game. I hope it's true the new story path is better than the original. Even tho I kinda hoped they would flesh out the original more
Lol even the original on a switch is at least an 8. Major flaws and everything. I know a 7 still means good. But that's like a point away from thinking it's ok. It's a lot more than that and this is the improved version 😆
Definitely getting Astro Bot. I don't usually buy platformers anymore unless it's 3d Mario. But Astro's Playroom managed to give me a fantastic experience on par with those Mario games and it was free. Can't wait for a more full, meatier experience
Lego horizon on the other hand, I just don't really like Lego games as much anymore and horizon isnt exactly one of my favorite ips. Maybe on a sale
I get that it makes no sense not to include some. But it wouldve mostly been made up of defeating all the bosses and dungeons/beating the game which is already an achievement (trophy doesn't sound as good here lol) in and of itself
Whatever reason it is, I wish they had done it sooner! Altho I guess it's cool that I can just go straight to the new story path instead of playing the og story first
I'd likely buy it to show support even tho SE is already apparently going full multiplat. But I'd probably play it for like an hour. I already played the better version in 2 and while it had its moments. I'll never really understand the praise these games get. They're very cookie cutter jrpgs

Unless this remaster remake adds in the cut content, I don't want it. I'd much rather a sequel
The world building and atmosphere is too good for just one game
