@themightyant I just wasn't a fan of most of the desert sections and underground parts of it. If I didn't have wanderer, I probably would have disliked it even more lol
But for me it was definitely inazuma. The parts like watatsumi Island and enkanomiya
Something about how natlan looks just gives off non genshin vibes to me its weird. It doesn't look like genshin. Music sounds cool and as long as it isn't as tedious as sumeru I'm sure it'll be fun to run around and explore and do quests
I'm sorry but when I read huge improvement and seismic changes I was expecting something a little more fundamental to the gameplay. Not really, an extra run in a domain or boss fight. Still a much needed and welcomed change 😂. Tho it should be 240 like honkai from the start
@Ray_Ray_Regasis I know that's why I said somehow. Cause I'll even take a bad retcon lol or a prequel could work. Either way she deserves more screentime
@Mikey856 yes a big departure. Almost like a new genre, a strand type game if you will
Honestly tho, I'm really excited to play it. I know about the memes but I've still always been super curious about it. And the DS2 trailer reignited my interest even more
@Darude84 lol I heard returnal is pretty challenging so I'm a little cautious about it. I don't have a particular itch for any type of game rn. So I'll probably start with Ghost then Returnal, and DS. Mainly cause I feel like DS will be the one I enjoy the most so I'm saving the best for last
About to finish my 1st playthrough of Stellar Blade. I'll probably play around with a 2nd run get a few outfits here and there but I think I'm ready to start something else. But definitely one of the most fun games this year so far. I really hope they make a sequel and flesh out a proper story, world, characters
While I still have the sub active, I wanna try some games I've been meaning to play but just haven't for whatever reason. So it'll be something between Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, or Returnal
I don't mind too much as long as that red head puppet woman's banner isn't up while it's still not on console lol. And if it is please don't take ages for a rerun
Assuming namco still thinks a xenosaga trilogy remaster wouldn't be profitable, this could probably be it's best chance of ever being playable on a modern system. Here's hoping for the impossible
Does that mean people didn't raise their voices loud enough to make them change their mind about charging console players like 3x more for online and all the censorship they do for asian games. Is this what they think is what's best for console players. Or maybe there was some actual grounds for legal action over this?
If it keeps up. Definitely a 9. Would give it a 10 but since it's not actually like a soulslike really, I feel it could do with a way better narrative. It's not that bad but man some of the dialog is so stiff. And i quite like eve as a protagonist. She has little moments like 2b in the banter and side quests that just make her likeable
And from a game play standpoint, it's amazing. Have no clue what people mean by horrible platforming but maybe I just haven't reached those points yet. Horrible platforming to me is the final extra dungeon in FFXV when the game wasn't designed for movement puzzles and jumping. This nails it. Combat is satisfying with tons of moves to use. And a few different play styles when you mix in stealth and the gun with different ammo types. It's fun to explore and the level design is great. Excellent art design and soundtrack too. This really blew away my expectations. I actually thought it would be like lost soul aside and never release lol
Honestly I'm glued to this game every chance I get. Exploring is my favorite part of the game even tho its main attraction is its combat. Finding chests and cans, doing side missions or solving puzzles all around the map has been so fun. And collecting new outfits and accessories too. It easily deserves at least a 9
The reaction is a bit overblown but at the end of the day, censorship of an m rated game that was promised to not be censored is absolutely wrong. And it rubs the wrong way even more when it always seems to be specifically Japanese or Asian flavored games that get censored
That being said, I still see this as a win for this type of game. Even if the censorship was probably their doing, I'm surprised Sony actually picked this game up when they seem so hellbent on promoting games that look like the last of us for a long while now. Instead they let a game with a sexy female character, with hilarious jiggle physics, and plenty of "male gaze" outfits go out to the public. So I still think if this kind of stuff is that important to you. It's probably best to support the game. Especially cause it's actually an incredibly fun game
Stellar blade. I think I made it to the next area beyond what the demo offered. The game is amazing so far. It's been very fun running around and exploring off the beaten path making sure I've checked everything. I really hope it keeps it up cause so far it's been amazing and I'm playing the 1.0 version. It plays really well I have no trouble parrying enemies outside of not being that good with parry mechanics in the first place. I imagine the updated version is even better
@Kidfunkadelic83 assuming what @thefourfoldroot1 said works, that's probably what I'll do too. I forgot ng+ seems to have new costumes that aren't just color variations of existing ones too. And I don't intend to play the whole game in the bunny suit lol as tempting as it is. Gonna try them all out
I'm eagerly waiting for my copy to arrive. A bit bummed by the censorship but I'm not passing on a fantastic looking game. Plus you can apparently play the uncensored version by not installing the updates with the physical version. So that's how I'll play it. Never had issues with the supposed input delay either
Honestly I'm a sucker for a good story. But I've yet to play a 'soulslike' thats kept me playing for its story. It's always the very fun and addictive game play that I'll always remember these games for which stellar blade has nailed down. I'm just gonna be impatiently waiting for my copy on friday
Please cygames don't give up on this. You managed to get little Noah and multiple granblue games out. I know the scope here seems way bigger but I believe in you
Ff7 rebirth. Finishing it up this weekend. 125 hrs and what a journey it's been. One of the very best games out there, I can't believe they managed to pull it off as well as they did. I'd love to stay and get the platinum but that would probably double my play time lol. And I just don't have the patience for that anymore. But this was an amazing game
After that I'll probably try some indies on ps plus extra while I wait for stellar blade to finally release
@Shepherd_Tallon oh no, I meant that it would be one of the first games I try, using this service for the 1st time. It's far from my 1st experience with this series 😆
Lol nier replicant is better than automata so I'd rather he was praising it in comparison to that instead to really get hyped
Just based off the short demo, I do prefer the slower more methodical approach of stellar blades combat over automatas. If the music is consistent throughout the game, I think they'll have equally good music. And who knows about the story, but it seems interesting albeit cliche so far
World of final fantasy was gonna be one of the 1st games I try as my 1st time ever using this sub. And it's already leaving lol. I was gonna buy it anyway eventually but what are the odds
Well deserved no.1. I got to ch.12 and the game opened up with tons of new quests and side content to do. And I just couldn't help but smile cause this is what I love about jrpgs. I don't care if I'm supposed to stop sephiroth. Let me run around and do errands for strangers, play cards games, and just explore this gorgeous world
As I said in another article I've only played ff7 rebirth. And I don't think anything will top it. It just doesn't stop being fun. But this year is packed with all sorts of good games. It's a tough battle. I have dd2 and pre ordered stellar blade. I also recently got a hold of a year of plus for free. So now I'm considering seeing what the hype for helldivers is all about
A template of 16 as in the world and the way it uses eikons could work as a tactics game I think. But trying to fit another game into the already established lore and story, kinda like what Valkyrie Profile and FF12 did with their spin off tactics games, probably wouldn't
Either way I hope this come to fruition along with the remaster
@Johnion I feel like that hit me a while ago cause I've kinda stopped caring about platinum trophies. But I care more about being entertained and easy modes are not entertaining
Id never play an easy mode lol. Besides the demo had a really nice mix of not too difficult mobs that you could really mess around with all your moves like in action games such as bayo and dmc. With the bosses providing slightly slower more methodical game play which is the only thing that really reminds me of dark souls
I'm loving it so far especially the music. What a turn around, I was initially skeptical mainly cause I didn't really think it would actually come out. But playing it now feels good. The story is intriguing and pretty gruesome. The enemy designs are awesome. I love what exploration the demo has. I'm definitely pre ordering as soon as I'm able to now
The only thing I'm a little iffy about is the EN dub. I wish we got the JP dub too and I don't really feel like importing but oh well
I'm tempted to at least install it and just play around in it for a bit since it's just staring at me on my wall of games but I really want to finish FF7 Rebirth first
Besides by the time I do get to it maybe hopefully they'll have put out a patch to help performance just a teeny bit or announced one
More FF7 Rebirth. It's time to head to Cosmo Canyon but I'm probably gonna explore as much of Gongaga as it let's me before moving on. I think I'm at 70 hrs and have not grown tired of exploring any of the regions nor doing any of the side content. It's just fun
God I hope FF17 has something similar to eikonic abilities. As much as I love FF7 Rebirth. Combat moves aren't anywhere near as cool or satisfying to pull off. Not even synergy abilities which I actually think were poorly implemented into the game

I'm so ready for clorinde tho please give now

Lol was it really quietly, when they ended the update details with and... and said to check out Roxannes shop
Either way I don't know what they meant by small gift. I see a pair of huge gifts!

Yes please. And have it involve best girl Raven a lot more somehow. And more set pieces like the entirety of Spire 4. Especially towards the end

Doing some side quests and trying to catch some more fish in Stellar Blade before continuing the main quest
And also rushing through the new content in Honkai to get jades so I can get Robin too lol

Re: SMT 5 Moves Its PS5, PS4 Release Date Forward By a Week, Avoids Elden Ring DLC
@Edwirichuu lol I couldn't even get both like I wanted anyway but nah. Dd2s the type of game you play regardless of the fps issues. And team ninja hasn't let me down yet. Might as well get used to it again if I'm gonna be playing through Dragons Dogma 2 😅

Cool still another Rise of the Ronin/Dragons Dogma 2 situation for me tho. 2 switch games I've been wanting to get ported now on the same day. Hope I'm able to afford them both to show support
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 520

Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Acclaimed CCG Queen's Blood Could Get Expanded
New opponents is one of my favorite things to look for when I go to a new town or region. But I feel like a lot of its rules are unnecessary and easy to abuse at least up to chapter 7
Most abilities especially the ones that reduce power, or destroy your own card to power up another, are kinda redundant and its mostly a game of who can fill in the board the most first. And if you start with a really good hand, it's almost impossible to lose. I do wonder how a match against an actual person would go though
