As is tradition, we're wrapping up our Game of the Year coverage by looking towards the future.

Late last year, we asked Push Square readers to vote for their most anticipated PS5 games of 2026, offering up a frankly massive list of 75 titles. And that was after we had to cut it down from over 100!

Yep, it's already shaping up to be another strong year for PlayStation — and you just know that we'll be handed god-knows how many more 2026 release dates over the coming months.

A whopping 10,975 votes were cast in our Most Anticipated poll, and we've gathered the top 20 picks for the purposes of this feature.

So, without further ado, let's find out what the most anticipated PS5 games of 2026 are, according to the readers of this very website...

6.

5. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis - 683 votes (6%)

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis

You know, for all of the complaining that you lot do about remakes and remasters in our comments sections, remakes and remasters sure seem to be popular in polls like this. Really makes you think...

Our spiteful little jabs aside, we think people just really want to see Tomb Raider return to its roots and serve up a healthy mix of shooting dinosaurs and performing inch-perfect back flips again. And honestly, we can't blame 'em.

Legacy of Atlantis is a full-on remake of Lara's very first adventure, and it does show huge potential in its debut trailer. We'll be very interested in seeing how it tweaks the original gameplay formula.

4. Resident Evil Requiem - 871 votes (8%)

Resident Evil Requiem

We feel like the hype for Resident Evil Requiem has gone up a notch since Leon was revealed as a second playable character, essentially splitting the game between classic survival horror and zombie-kicking action.

Given how strong the series has been in recent years — between the new games and its extremely polished remake trilogy — hopes are understandably high for this latest instalment.

Promising a potentially potent combination of nostalgia for stories gone by and brand new nightmares, Requiem already looks to be a standout 2026 release.

3. 007 First Light - 914 votes (8%)

007 First Light

Yes, we're getting a proper James Bond game — and it's no surprise that everyone seems to be so excited.

From the team behind the fantastic new Hitman titles, this appears to be a much more action-oriented, cinematic experience, but we're still anticipating a slew of clever gameplay mechanics, engaging environmental design, and, of course, some very quotable one-liners from the man himself.

We'll no doubt be seeing much more of this one over the next few of months as we rocket towards its May release date.

2. Grand Theft Auto 6 - 1,277 votes (12%)

Grand Theft Auto 6

Last year's Most Anticipated winner has only managed second place this time around, and it's difficult to determine why. Are people just sick of Grand Theft Auto 6 being delayed? Or are they just sick of hearing about Grand Theft Auto 6 in general? We'll let you decide.

Still, it's bagged a lot of votes.

There'll be no stopping this one when it does eventually release, and for what it's worth, we should be seeing more of Rockstar's open worlder throughout the year. Fingers crossed that some uncut gameplay footage is heading our way sooner rather than later.

1. Marvel's Wolverine - 1,328 votes (12%)

Marvel's Wolverine

If you can believe it, a PlayStation Studios game has topped this year's Most Anticipated list. Heck, it's topped Grand Theft Auto 6 — and that's no easy feat.

Marvel's Wolverine is going to be Sony's tent pole PS5 title for 2026, and with the relentless Insomniac Games behind it, you already know what to expect: supreme polish, punchy combat, and a real respect for the source material.

The developer's already made it very clear that this is going to be a blood-soaked adaptation of the ever-popular character; the gameplay clips we've seen have been absolutely packed with dismemberment and gore. In short, this ain't Spider-Man.

We're all but guaranteed an in-depth State of Play for this one, but we'll still have to wait until the autumn / fall to actually get our hands on this iteration of fiction's most clawesome hero.

Maybe it's a good job that 2026's schedule is so busy!
