It's more of a spiritual successor to Elden Ring Nightreign than it is to Bloodborne

The game will probably be fun the way Nightreign is but absolutely not worth buying new hardware for. And tbh I don't really see myself getting excited about a port either

MH Wilds, fought the Zoh Shia twice because the randoms that joined my quest the 1st time got obliterated by it lol. Gonna fight it some more for the amazing gear

Xenoblade X, admittedly haven't had as much time to play this as I would've liked this week. Went on a expedition to install a bunch of probes in oblivia and got a few cool party members. That's about it. Hopefully can really dig in this weekend

Damn hope it's all sorted by the time I get out of work. It was available yesterday night so I got to fight mizu and it was very fun. Love how aggressive it was. I keep hearing tempered mizu and zoh shia are decimating players and that makes me very hyped but also scared cause I have absolutely not worked on my builds whatsoever 😭

I played the demo and it was neat but kinda clunky. This game looks so much better and it's even coming to other platforms so that makes it infinitely better. Hopefully it gets a demo too

@anoyonmus true it makes the game $50 instead of 70 or even 60. But still, not everyone loves Mario kart (even if 8 sold a gazillion copies 😂)

@RoomWithaMoose the game is confirmed to be a PvPvE game. People here were already so negative about Night Reign, why wouldn't they be about an exclusive MP that literally gave off such vibes in its trailer

@anoyonmus @get2sammyb that's crazy. That makes the thing about gta being $100 even more likely. I was only half serious when I said I'd buy gta6 for that price if it was really all that lol. No way I'd pay almost $100 for a Mario kart tho

Lol the game is a multi-player game after all. So much for bloodborne 2 🤣. I was interested on it just from being fromsoft but now I'm absolutely not tempted to get an almost $500 console for a multiplayer exclusive. Why even make it exclusive in the 1st place? You should be wanting more hands available for an MP game, makes no sense

Not really but there were some neat things in the show that are tempting for one being the fromsoft game. But also they finally revived Kirby Air Ride! And that was really about it tbh lol. Mario Kart going open world is cool, bet all the people shouting "not everything needs to be open world!" won't have anything to say about that because it's ninty. And the dk game looks interesting but I hate the god awful redesign and I would've preferred the next 3d Mario instead

Overall I'm not gonna buy one any time soon especially if these games are playable thru other means (wink wink). Oh yea and the 3rd party ports don't do anything for me. There are literally better ways to experience those games

The multiplayer part is making me go meh. If they just mean the usual coop mode from almost all their games then cool. But if they mean something like nightreign then, while the beta was actually fun, my interest has dropped significantly. And I did not get bloodborne vibes from this apart from seeing a monster that looked like the cleric beast. I literally thought this was night reign cause of the yellow elden ring lighting around the game lol

Some more MH Wilds, I think I'm finally at the endgame. And I don't think the game has been as easy as it was made out to be. LR for sure but HR had just the right amount of difficulty and open ended-ness which I loved. Can't wait to really start messing with decos and gear and for TU1 to finally arrive

And also more Xenoblade X. Finally got my skell. I love this game so much. It can get a little overwhelming with the huge amount of quests it throws at you, most of it filler. But it's been fun riding around Mira and completing them. Fighting and leveling up. Doing the story which has still been so interesting. And just filling out the map and clearing out all the objectives

As someone that prefers the PS ecosystem over nintys and to an extent over pc, not a fan of them doing this. But I wasn't a fan of them putting their western games on pc either and it's not like that's gonna change anytime soon. So like I said in the other article, as soon as bloodborne and gravity rush (hell maybe even Uedas games) are ported to other places, it's over. PS is going the way of Xbox just from a different angle

But as a fan of some of these games, if this does lead to new games in their series or new games like them, then ofc I'm for it. I absolutely want a gravity rush 3 and if this is the way that leads to it so be it

This looks great. I'm probably one of the few that's happy they didn't give this the HD 2d treatment lol. I love the artstyle here

Welp now it's their Japanese games' turns (and after i had said they were keeping them so close to their chest lol) after they ported all their western stuff to pc. Once I see gravity rush and bloodborne ported it's over. PS is going the way of Xbox just from a different angle. But still if this leads to new content from some of these I'm all for it

It boggled my mind that some were actually legitimately saying last year was a "slow year". It was far from it. We got so many Japanese and Asian games in general that were amazing. This 2nd video game crash seems to only be coming from western side of gaming. And probably deservedly so.

That zoh shia armor goes so hard. I can't wait. And idk I've always thought mizu's gear was lame but I'm loving the female armor for it this time

One of my top 10 video games of all time. Easily one of the best experiences gaming has to offer. And I still hope we get some form of new content somehow. There's not enough bloodborne in this world

Yup FF is cursed and it's so sad. I had never seen so much scrutiny for a series before (altho nowadays anything that might be even a little "woke" suffers worse lol). And it was definitely because they made the games console exclusive and timed exclusive to Playstation yet dragon quest games and even some of their other smaller but prominent titles were allowed to be exclusive to Nintendo and/or pc without a peep. It's ridiculous

I mean it's pretty short. I'd be surprised if they hadn't. It was short but entertaining tbh. I've yet to play a MH with an engaging story. But this one has been the closest. I just wanna see the TUs and Expansion already tho

Still on MH Wilds. About to reach HR 30 and doing every optional quest I see. I don't mind how linear the story was but HR is way more fun with how open ended it is. Seeing an unknown icon running around the map and heading towards it yo see what it could be is so fun

And now that it's officially out, Xenoblade X DE. I'm on Ch.5, I'm loving the story and characters so far. Nothing amazing but it beats the start of XC3. The Sawano music during the world building cutscenes was fantastic and peak anime lol

On ps5, Monster Hunter Wilds. Just started high rank and the forest looks absolutely gorgeous. I love this game so much

On pc, I'm playing Xenoblade X Definitive Edition. So far I'm loving it

These 2 games are probably going to keep me busy for a good chunk of the year. And I'm fine with it cause they're 2 of my favorite series

@nomither6 so far I've only really played wuthering waves and mh rise but it isn't extensive play. Like I'm just fiddling around so far trying to see what looks best and whatnot. But I truly couldn't see or feel a difference. I downloaded bo6 so I'm gonna try that out in a bit

I just got me a pc. And I am struggling to tell the difference between 60, 90, 120 and beyond for games that I'm able to up the fps. I feel scammed bros...

But anyway I'm excited to replay this on it plus do whatever new content the nikke dlc has

That was an even better trailer than the 1st one which was already pretty hype. They upped their game with those gorgeous looking new locations. And the new bts look even crazier. I'm so glad I gave the 1st game a chance

Easy 9.5 leaning towards 10 so I gave it that. Now having played it myself some, I can confidently say the optimization issues are so overblown. I'm playing on a launch ps5 balanced mode and not only is it super smooth but the game looks stunning most of the time. It's a far cry from what it looked like in the beta. The game is on the easy side so far but I'm loving the new areas. I love the new monsters. Combat has been the best it's ever been so far. I honestly can't wait for the expansion where you get master rank gear of all the new mons

@Nepp67 I didn't get a chance to coop him. But he was a decent threat playing solo and in general just a lot of fun to fight

The updates were always going to have harder monsters by default. I still hope the launch game has some kind of difficulty. At the very least, beta Rey Dau and Arkveld levels of challenge I'd be satisfied with until the harder content arrives

Patenting gameplay should be illegal. The things other more competent devs could do with the nemesis system

I heard they got rid of most of what made shadow of war so bad so maybe I'll finally start it up again

I absolutely want the game to be challenging but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have an absolute blast with Rise and that was the easiest the series has ever been. And as of the moment, I am a little worried because it's journalists who are saying the game is easy lol. These guys are never good at games so if even they're saying the game is too easy that's concerning

That said, I couldn't beat arkveld in the beta before the timer ran out. And I always manage to beat the 3rd last monster in every demo or beta of a MH game. Granted arkveld will be different in the real game once I get some actually gear to fight him but still. So I'm genuinely confused as to whether the game will be too easy or not. If it is, I hope Capcom does bump up the difficulty

In the case of gravity rush, I think the marketing was completely fair for what is apparently an AA series and idk what else people are expecting from them. They revealed it at their E3s back when those were important along with the usual trailers, games get leading up to release. They gave it 2 really cool animated specials available for free, had a cool live action ad for Japan and still couldn't get people to buy these amazing games. Hell it's getting a live action movie now too if it's not stuck in limbo. Hopefully it's actually good, so maybe it'll push even a few extra people towards the games like tlou did

Tides of Annihilation, Digimon Story Time Stranger, and Saros in terms of actual new reveals even tho only the former 2 showed gameplay. But I think I'm still more excited to play MH Wilds very soon

In light of the pretty cool trailer for a sequel of sorts, I gave Returnal another shot. And it's incredibly fun so far. I couldn't stop playing once I actually booted it up. Fast slick shooter action. And the story and lore are actually pretty interesting

I'm also playing Elden Ring Nightreign. It's actually kinda fun but most of us don't know how to play so we end up dying the 1st day. We don't really kill enough mobs to be properly ready for the boss we fight at the end of the ring. Gonna try to redirect us to as many mobs and graces as possible

And just wanted to shout ZZZ cause it's where all my luck goes lol. I just pulled Evelyn's weapon in a single 10 pull no pity built up. I'm gonna spend time building her stats to use her. Can't wait for Trigger next.

I'm so confused by the VA complaints cause at the very least the MC sounds great. This is far from a Xenoblade 2 situation where damn near every character sounded awful especially the MC lol

The gameplay itself looks nice and I absolutely love the setting and style of the game. I look forward to seeing more

I'm glad Digimon got some exposure. It's absolutely baffling how underrated the franchise in general is. Super excited for this new game and also Tides of Annihilation

People have no issues whatsoever with ninty not even letting its characters be in fortnite and Sony has already made clear multiple times they don't see pc as a competitor so there is literally nothing wrong with keeping an exclusive ip easter egg exclusive when it was originally exclusive anyway

What would suck tho is bomber man not being in the ps5 version when that's a 3rd party ip. But somethings got to give I guess

There was actually a lot it's just that alot of it was stuff we already knew about. So that was disappointing. As hyped as I am for mh wilds and the onimusha comebacks, I don't need yet more trailers for them when Capcom literally just had its own presentation a little while ago with them. Or split fiction, or mgs remake, or lost soul aside, etc. There should be more new reveals than there are trailers for games we already know about or are just getting updates of whatever kind. So the highlights for me were Digimon story and that one game with the female protagonist towards the end

@PloverNutter like videos of his moveset? All I remember is that he has a team up with storm who is like one of the few I'm decent with. But she gets banned 90% of the time

Also I get that solo queuing in comp is asking for a bad time, but it's seriously demoralizing going from gm to low diamond 2 after so many losses you feel you contributed a lot towards winning it. I spent most of it playing offline games or just watching vids. Crazy how many people don't have the setting on or have their ps5 set as the primary console to play their games offline.
