Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 567

Judal27

Welp psn still being down I can't play the MH Wilds beta. Or any of my gachas which is pain. I got a month pass for ZZZ and couldn't claim the polys for it so that really sucks

In the meantime I have zero clue what offline single player game I want to really get into as I've sorta been burnt out by gaming I think. Played a little Animal Well, it's decent fun. Got a little further into Sonic Frontiers. I downloaded Blood Omen 2 for nostalgia so maybe I'll replay it a little more. And I started the Klonoa Phantom Reverie series. Nothing is really sticking with me, not because I don't enjoy the games tho

Re: Poll: How Long Does It Take You to Beat a Big RPG?

Judal27

Definitely several weeks. I think at most, the longest one has taken me is 2-3 months. But man when you get sucked into a world that big it's absolutely amazing. I'll never forget and regret the hours I put into Witcher 3. And every now and then I get that feeling of wanting to replay but the backlog scares me away lol

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for February 2025 Announced

Judal27

I just bought Pacman lol. Not that I mind, I'd rather "own" it but yea what timing. I was craving some more 3d platforming and I remembered how much I loved the 2nd game so I might as well try out the remake of the 1st one. Looking forward to it

Re: Astro Bot 'Almost' a Nintendo Beater, Says Reggie Fils-Aimé

Judal27

The ninty "we don't get into console wars like ps and xbox" fans are getting uppity again lol

I wouldn't say it's better, but it is absolutely on par with every 3d Mario game. It feels amazing to move around and make use of the mechanics to get around the gorgeous fun levels. And the thing is they managed it with only 3 game. With the first game alone they already accomplished something special considering it was a vr game. The 2nd game was literally just a tech demo and still managed to be as fun as a full Mario game. And their first full fledged game is one to remember. I can't wait to see what they do in a sequel to a full fledged game

Re: Genshin Impact Maker to Pay $20 Million FTC Fine Over Gacha System

Judal27

Man imma be furious if this leads to getting rid of the gacha system because idiots don't know how to watch over their kids. They already made shooters completely worse by getting rid of lootboxes and instead locking every piece of cool cosmetic behind absurd prices

Next thing you know. We'll have to pay $15 for every character that comes out cause people are stupid

Re: Would You Pay $100 for GTA 6?

Judal27

Depends on if it ends up being a generational game that I'll be playing for ages. I know gta5 was technically that and I really enjoyed what I played of it on a bloody ps3 no less. But eh. And I often see it on sale for $15 so maybe I'll wait for a sale or something

Re: Zenless Zone Zero Maintains Momentum with Massive PS5 Update

Judal27

Uhm despite being covered up almost completely, Evelyn's design is absolutely insane. Perfect character to crossover with nikke lol. The gachas have been treating me nicely of late so I hope it continues cause I really want Astra, Evelyn and her sig

Also is that really all vampire survivor is? A bullet hell mini game. I guess that's why it's 5 bucks but the way people rave on about it. I'm a little more excited for that fall guys mini game with the bangboos

Re: Poll: Do You Use PS Stars?

Judal27

Yea I do. It's not amazing but I'm also not gonna complain when I'm making some money back. Managed to make $15 back so far. Really helps for when i want a game that's on sale or a monthly pass for one of my many gachas lol

Re: Bayonetta Turns 15, Announcements Planned to Celebrate

Judal27

I really need to get to the 3rd one eventually someday but I thought Bayo looked ridiculous there. I loved the 1st one but the 2nd one was decent to good. The only thing I preferred about it was the slightly more varied locations. 1 was better in almost every other way

Re: Nintendo Fans Are Desperate to Know How Close Switch 2 Will Get to PS4's Power

Judal27

I've never seen so much talk about specs and fps and resolution and how it's gonna play all the big games now while simultaneously boasting about how Ninty fans don't care about that stuff or power

I'd be surprised if the thing comes close to a steam deck and if it were to come to it or be even better than it, then the price is not gonna be cheap. And at that point it would still just be better getting a pc handheld

Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Astro Bot

Judal27

It snubbed FF7 Rebirth but if Rebirth had been no.1, it would've snubbed Astro Bot. What a dilemma...

But still absolutely deserved. Many times I actually had to stop myself from playing any further cause I didn't want to finish the game right away. I wanted it to keep being part of my weeks, fill it with fun joyful moments. Please make a sequel soon. The wait for another one since the Playroom tech demo was pain

Re: Game of the Year: Sammy's Top 5 PS5 Games of 2024

Judal27

@get2sammyb I'm super interested where the story goes from here. But everyone coming together for that finale was amazing. I just wish the voice acting scene was in a better shape cause it's a shame to see the amazing cutscenes without voiced lines

Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Metaphor: ReFantazio

Judal27

@Jimmer-jammer my point wasn't that there's nothing to talk about but that there's little to no talk about the game actually going around. I'm a huge jrpg and atlus fan so it's not like the circles I choose to visit wouldn't love the kind of game that it is but I just don't see it. I definitely hope I can get into it more further along

@Logonogo that is a bit of a shame. But I plan to play it soon and I just hope it's a close enough of an experience to p5

Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Metaphor: ReFantazio

Judal27

Am I the only one that noticed how very little anyone actually talks about this game? Any time its brought up its only to say that its an amazing game but never any like story or character discussions or anything

Gonna try to play it soon. While I was enjoying the demo I didn't love it enough to finish it and want more like I did with most other prologue demos. It's a really ugly game especially when you compare it to SMTV Vengeance or even P5. The story so far while interesting was incredibly predictable and the writing was so bland. But that's just demo impressions. And despite that I was still actually enjoying parts of the demo so I'm hoping it's just a meh start to an amazing 100+ hrs game

Re: Conspiratorial Marvel Rivals Report Suggests Bots in Quickplay Always Part of the Plan

Judal27

There's just nothing fun or satisfying about playing and winning against bots. The point of a competitive mp shooter is that you want to come out on top against other real people. I didn't realize they did this with quick play so that's a shame. But if I choose comp they make it console players only. I'd rather play with all players regardless of how much of an advantage pc players have

Re: Game of the Year: Sammy's Top 5 PS5 Games of 2024

Judal27

This list is closest to my own you'd just need Rebirth instead of Infinite Wealth. But those 2 gachas have been incredibly fun to play even if it's only been like a month for Infinity Nikki

And a part of me also still says I prefer Star Rail. But I can't lie I've been having the most fun with ZZZ out of the three hoyo games on ps. If they can just make exploration better, which they're constantly improving, it'd be my favorite. And having paid attention to the story this last part for once, its way less of a word salad than genshin and star rail combined lol

Re: Nomura Known as 'Demon King of Retakes' During Final Fantasy 7 Dev

Judal27

@PuppetMaster I can't agree. 15 has a masterpiece of a soundtrack with each piece of music fitting wherever it was put in the game. Every piece of combat music made fights so cool and tense. The summons theme made them feel very grand and intense like they're supposed to. The dungeon music that was eerie and dark especially since most of them were tombs and caves. And the song when you enter Altissia. I could go on but I think Shimomura and co. did an amazing job with FF15's soundtrack. It helped elevate the game a lot

Re: Nomura Known as 'Demon King of Retakes' During Final Fantasy 7 Dev

Judal27

I remember Yoko Shimomura saying something similar. That working with Nomura meant constantly having to redo pieces of music while with Tabata on FF15, he'd mostly like the initial pieces of music she would show him and then go from there. Both have phenomenal soundtracks tho, so idk how much Nomura's way affects their games outside of maybe everyones' mental well being lol
