Update []: SEGA told fans they wouldn't want to miss The Game Awards, and it turns out the publisher's big announcement was Total War: Warhammer 40,000.
Unveiled by actor David Harbour, who is set to star in the game, Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is also coming to PS5:
The game is an RTS set within the 40k universe, taking Creative Assembly's long-running franchise into the future.
There aren't too many details as yet, but it seems like a perfect combination of licence and game series.
While SEGA fans were perhaps expecting something different, this is still a pretty big deal, especially as it's the first Total War RTS to come to PlayStation.

Original Story: The Game Awards is just hours away as we write this, and several publishers and developers have teased their involvement with Geoff Keighley's awards show.
Now, even SEGA is getting in on the fun, with a tease that it's also going to be part of the proceedings.
On YouTube, the publisher reposted the official livestream for this year's Game Awards, telling fans to "Stay tuned, you won't want to miss it."

Of course, this has sent SEGA fans into a spin, throwing all sorts of speculative guesses as to what the company might be announcing during the show.
Many are expecting to see a Sonic Frontiers sequel, while others are wondering whether any of SEGA's retro revivals, such as Crazy Taxi or Jet Set Radio, may finally be ready for a proper reveal.
There's also talk of Persona 4 Revival, Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter, and Shenmue, the latter of which seemingly leaked in a strange video before being confirmed a fake.
Whatever it is, there's not long to wait before we find out.
