An impressive 35 million players have pre-registered to play GRYPHLINE’s upcoming open world RPG, Arknights: Endfield.

To be clear, this number includes PC and mobile as well as PS5. Pre-registering doesn’t cost any money, but generally shows some intent from participants that they plan to play.

With the game scheduled to release on 22nd January, a bunch of new videos have been released to mark the occasion, beginning with this launch trailer, featuring music from rock band STARSET:

There’s also an extensive new gameplay trailer, which shows off the title’s mix of Genshin Impact-esque combat and automation elements:

Here’s a bit more information from the outing’s press release:

“Arknights: Endfield introduces a new frontier storyline and a world built around exploration, strategic real-time combat, and base-building. Players command squads of up to four Operators, combining skills, elemental synergies, and coordinated tactics across fast-paced encounters. The story follows the Endministrator (Endmin) – a legendary guardian awakened from a ten-year hibernation to lead Endfield Industries from their orbital headquarters, the OMV Dijiang.”

Our only real concern about this one is the market for gacha games is getting pretty crowded now, specifically on the PS5. We’re worried we’re simply not going to have the time to give this effort the attention it deserves.
