I love games with cyberpunk settings and the gameplay seems like it could be cool. Definitely one on my watch list. The last few months of this year are stacked.
Given how even Steam is now cracking down on 'sexualization' because of these scumbags who run the credit card companies, I wonder how much fanservice they'll be able to get away with if a sequel is green lit.
If it wasn't for the gameplay, particularly the melee combat, there's a good chance The Last of Us Part II would be my least favorite PS4 game, I hated the main story and the way most characters were portrayed that much. The complete opposite of the first game which I thought had passable gameplay at best but a very good story. People can whine about Sony's exclusives being 'story' games, 'interactive movies' or whatever, all they want, at the end of the day there's still a place for these just like there's a place for extremely boring turn-based RPGs.
@PuppetMaster Mike Tyson the boxer inspired the design of Balrog, sure, but the character itself isn't Tyson. There's a huge difference between that and what SNK is doing with these real life celebs.
Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite are among my favorite games of the seventh gen. Had both in my top 5 favorites for their respective release years. Really hyped for Judas.
I have Cyberpunk on Switch 2 so won't be getting this version but it's still nice to see it on PS Plus, definitely recommend it to any subscriber who had been on the fence. Eventhough they're not the best Twisted Metal games, I am going to revisit 3 and 4 as they were decent enough. Also hyped that the show is returning soon.
I might tune in but I've already pre-ordered the game. Love Ghost of Tsushima as well as every other Sucker Punch game I've played. Don't need much convincing.
The way Sony (and Nintendo for that matter) handles the rollout of classics is beyond pathetic. There should be 2 or 3 titles released every two weeks. The PS1 and 2 alone have more than enough to cover this.
@DennisReynolds I had the same initial thought. Sony no longer views Xbox as a serious competitor much in the same way it views Nintendo as a family friendly, portable gaming company and not a threat in the high-end gaming sector. I expect to see more PS games on Nintendo and Xbox, possibly even the single player ones. Maybe not on the initial launch day but a year or two down the line can't be ruled out now.
@Dan12836666 I was surprised to see my Best Buy finally got a Switch 2 unit and had the demo for DK Banaza running. Had fun with what I got to play. Can't wait for the full version.
I'll download KoF XV, eventhough I already have it on Xbox Series X, great game. Everything else doesn't seem like stuff I could get into, but that's not terrible, gives me time to get through the backlog before Donkey Kong and Wuchang hit.
Won't lie, definitely buying the swimsuits, at least for Cammy and Chun-Li. Happy Sagat is going to be in the game but I still think he should've been there from the start, he's one of the classic and iconic SF characters.
@nomither6
I was just saying what would make me more interested. Didn't say it had to be added. And, for what it's worth, I've never had a problem with single player games having a multiplayer component. At times I've encouraged it, even if it's not a mode I'd use often. Many of my favorite games of all time had both.
I'd be interested if it had a single player campaign that seemed to be great but unfortunately that's not the case. Main reason I keep gaming on PS consoles, aside from big time third party support, is Sony's single player IP like Horizon, God of War, anything Naughty or Insomniac make, etc. Ghost of Yotei will have that covered this year, it's just a shame to not see something with a cool universe like Marathon get the same treatment. Could still be multiplayer focused just give people who don't want that something also and it's a potential hit.
Japan being ridiculous with violent content just like the U.S. with sexual content, moronic beyond belief. At least MS didn't censor the game to get it on PS5, though, that would be far worse.
I think people are still sore about the exclusivity thing but it was never going to sell great on Xbox even if I think it's the right call to go multiplat. Main problem is people don't seem to enjoy Final Fantasy like they used to, even on PlayStation. I played XVI and like it a lot, my favorite Final Fantasy after Crisis Core but I never cared for traditional FF gameplay so XVI was made for people like me. I can see why longtime fans hated it.
Great news. One of the games I love enough that I double dipped getting the original on PS4 and then a physical copy of Special Edition on PS5. Would be awesome to get a DMC 6 soon, just hope it doesn't take any cues from that horrendous anime.
Hyped for a good number of these but the 5 I'd put above all else are Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Ninja Gaiden 4, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Ghost of Yotei and Silent Hill f.
As a fan of both PlayStation and Nintendo and owner of PS5 and now Switch 2... He's right. The PS5, even the base model, has better hardware and will be able to handle games that in some cases won't even be possible on Switch 2 just like PS4 had some games the NS1 couldn't run. It doesn't mean Switch 2 is bad.
Deserved, easily the best fighting game this gen. Not inundated with annoying guest fighters and the two that are there at least make sense, even if I'm not a big fan of bringing outside characters in. Also haven't done updates that ruin how the game plays.
Awesome. I love RE 7 and 8 (both really got the franchise back on track) and hyped to see what happens with 9. Just a small teaser but looks like this might be even more proper horror. Can't wait to learn more.
After Tetris, easily my favorite series of puzzle games. The original was one of the main reasons I got a PSP early on. This will be a day one buy for sure.
Seems very early to give up on it but if the trade off is to finally get a new Injustice game, I'm ok with that. Had way more fun playing Injustice 2 than MK 11 and MK 1 never interested me much at all.
Getting a disc copy for PS4 tomorrow. Really hyped for the Capcom vs. SNK games and Power Stone 1-2. With this collection, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and continued strong support for Street Fighter 6, lots of fighting game goodness lately.
@GirlVersusGame @get2sammyb
After seeing Sonic the Hedgehog games show up on Nintendo hardware, nothing shocks me anymore in this industry. Time moves on, things change and with Xbox getting less and less popular after the 7th gen, not really surprised. For the younger crowd, though, many who might have chose a 360 and Gears of War 1 over PS3 back in 2006, I'm sure this is a bit of a shock to the system. It's pretty much official now. Once Halo makes the move to PS, Microsoft should just give up on hardware. It is disappointing, however, even if I prefer PlayStation and Nintendo, I was a big fan of Xbox during its first two gens.
No, I'm not disappointed. Been expecting this news for a while and there's enough coming out this year anyway with the MGS 3 remaster, Silent Hill f, a bunch of great looking indie stuff and the Switch 2 launch. I'm looking forward to GTA 6, but it will be ready when it's ready.
I'll admit I didn't love the idea of Days Gone given how similar it was in theme to other post apocalyptic games but I did enjoy what I played, even if I would've rather Bend made a new Syphon Filter. Still doesn't explain it getting better reviews, that might change as more roll in. Even the best games of all-time see a bit of drop off when remastered. Metroid Prime 1 was a 97 at the time, the remaster, which made the game even better, averaged 94.
I like some fanservice but nothing will get me to play this game. Something about these 'free to play' releases just doesn't click with me. The stories are weak and it's impossible to beat them in single player.
It's an awesome game but was always going to be niche. And the two real-life guest characters being put in wasn't needed. Not that I think leaving them out would've made much of a difference sales wise, it's just out of place. Would've been better to have Ken and Chun-Li in there from the get go if you SNK wanted to go the guest route.
Love the game itself, though, it's challenging Street Fighter 6 as my favorite fighting game of the gen.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the sequel that seemed like it would never get made. Really like what I've played. Might challenge Street Fighter 6 for my favorite fighting game this gen.
