Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade PS5

Square Enix has now confirmed the additional features and options coming in the imminent Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S ports for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will now also be patched into the PS5 version on the same day they release.

The publisher previously shared with Push Square that the extra toggles and abilities will indeed come to PS5, but a date wasn't shared. Now we know PS5 owners can enjoy the bonus features on the same day as Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S players of 22nd January 2026.

These additional options have been pitched as "streamlined progression features", and they are:

  • Always have maximum HP and MP
  • Always deal 9,999 damage to enemies
  • Always have max number of items (with some exceptions)

They're the kind of settings you find in remastered RPG classics, such as the recent Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes. In order to make some of the older titles more playable, you will see these kinds of options in the pause menu, along with ways to speed up battles. From 22nd January, you can utilise the above in Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS5.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also be making its way to the two platforms in the future, with it too likely receiving similar treatment with some additional gameplay options. A third and final part in the remake trilogy will be out in the next handful of years, but whether it's exclusive to PlayStation or not is up in the air.

Will you go back and try out these new features in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.
