Enjoyed Saints Row 1, really liked 2, after that it went downhill. SR 3 had some decent parts to it but it also started the bad direction 4 would take the series. The reboot was somehow even worse.

I'd rather the trigger warning than toned-down content. I read the ESRB description and it sounds like it'll be a Silent Hill game, but I'm still not completely sold. Need to see more, the series had been dormant for a long time until last year's free game and the SH 2 remake and the games on PS3/X360 were mediocre at best.

I wouldn't say this got me hyped but it at least has me interested, which is more than I would've expected given what has happened with Silent Hill after the PS2 era.

Yeah, terrible take. This DLC is great but the default is good too.

Crazy it's been 15 years. I bought into the hype but when I played the game it just didn't click with me.

Nothing I'm interested in but that's fine, still hooked on Monster Hunter Wilds anyway, to the point I've even put my playthrough of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on hold.

Might mix in a few games but the main focus will be on Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5).

I'll believe they can get a Resident Evil movie right when I see it happen.

Well deserved. Only 9 hours in but already feeling like an early Game of the Year contender, performance issues aside.

Mostly Monster Hunter Wilds with some Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black mixed in (all on PS5).

Got a physical that came with the steel book case. Just waiting for all the downloads to get done then I'll start playing it.

I don't love the new hairstyle but still looking forward to Anna joining the roster and I'm sure there will be customization options.

Waited too long before pre-ordering the Collector's Edition on Amazon so I'll have to wait until the middle of next week for it to arrive. I did play the demo, which was very fun.

Nice, I'll be getting a disc copy.

Didn't know they had one. Gotta be honest, been busy at work so haven't checked as much gaming news as I usually do.

Any type of pure, over the top character-action is going to get me interested. Of course more info about the story is still needed and a demo would definitely be nice. This is a new IP and not enough was shown for it to shoot to the top of my most-wanted list with known quantities such as Ninja Gaiden, Monster Hunter and Like a Dragon.

I have a feeling this attitude will change when we all see what direction Sony goes when it becomes the only option for high-end console gaming. I prefer PlayStation to Xbox, but the latter giving up is most definitely not a good thing.

There's a market for more pure action games as this and Lost Soul Aside are proving. Not everybody wants games that borrow heavily from or straight up copy Souls.

A company can show as many games as it wants in whatever type of format it wants. What it can't do is force people to be excited about what they see and those who aren't interested have every right to say so, no matter what people who write for websites or fans of the company think. I'm a PlayStation guy more than Xbox or Nintendo but this State of Play, outside of a game or two, was entirely meh. Not going to apologize for feeling that way.

I'll buy this if the price is reasonable.

Yeah, especially these days with cost to make games just constantly go up and up. Something success in a smaller market is better than taking a shot at the big one and failing.

Two of the best PS5 games, heck, Astro Bot is my favorite PS first party game this gen. Great deal for newcomers to the console.

If I were running a studio I'd be careful about expanding it too much. Sometimes a smaller, but efficient, team that works on 'AA' or 'B' games is the way to go. Less $ to make, less risk. Stellar Blade is one of those that's proof you don't need to make an 'AAA' game to have success.

Disgraceful non-communication again, but I'm not surprised. And the fanboys will defend it of course, just like 2011 when some people said Sony handled that situation perfectly.

I didn't think Arkham Knight was that great a game (not bad, but certainly not on Asylum's or City's level) and that was when Rocksteady had talented people working there. I can't imagine what kind of an absolute joke a Batman game by the current team would be.

More content is cool but I still wish we'd get classic SF characters before these crossover ones.

Does make me a bit concerned about Ninja Gaiden 4 but it has been in development for a while and Team Ninja is involved so hopefully people at the latter stepped up if that was needed.

Yeah, I'll definitely buy this.

I agree the PS5 Pro isn't a huge upgrade (at least not for the $, which is why I haven't bought one) but from what I've seen it's pretty regularly sold out or in short supply. Admittedly, that is anecdotal evidence. Do remember reading reports of it selling well, too, however.

Make no mistake about it, SF 6 already is just as bad as MK 1 in terms of microtransactions. The only reason you don't see as many complaints is because MK is the far, far more popular IP. I've had SF 6 since launch, great game overall, imo, my favorite fighting game on PS5 after Tekken 8, but the DLC scheme sucks.

The only way these 'battle passes' - in every game they appear in, not just SF 6 - can get better is if companies do away with them altogether. They are obnoxious.

I know I'd want an option to get a PS6 with a disc drive because of all the PS4 and PS5 discs that I own, but, after seeing how the PS5 Pro sold out at $700, I will no longer say what Sony can or can't get away with. This isn't the early PS3 days anymore. Seems Sony can do no wrong in the vast majority of peoples' eyes.

This is one of those rare times where I couldn't possibly disagree more with a review from this website.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. Pretty easy pick for me. This month is going to be more difficult to decide between Monster Hunter Wilds and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. I expect both to be awesome.

Unless the game has far more suggestive content than what's shown in that brief trailer and screenshots, I don't understand why it wouldn't get a Western release. What's shown here, though, isn't anything more than the 'fanservice' in Stellar Blade, The First Descendant, hell even the recently released Ninja Gaiden II Black.

Still going through Ninja Gaiden II Black on PS5. Haven't gotten to play it as much as I'd like but what I have played has been awesome so far. Wouldn't say it's the 'definitive' version of NG II, still think that title goes to the 2008 original, but any version of this game is still upper echelon of the action genre.

Aside from Xtreme Beach Volleyball, I never cared for the DoA spinoffs. Really wish they'd just make DoA 7 already.

So stupid. Just like censorship of sexuality. If the game is rated M (or the equivalent depending on territory), then there should be no censorship, period.

On PS5, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. NG 2 is still one of the best action games ever made. And on Switch I'm playing Donkey Kong Country Returns HD.

Usually I would wait for a physical copy but the urge to play this game again was too much, decided to download it. Will get NG 4 on disc if possible, though.

For now anyway, which I guess isn't surprising since it is a remaster of a game from summer 2008. Hopefully if there's enough interest a physical release could happen in the future maybe around the time 4 comes out.

I can understand $50 being too steep for some, but this is one of my favorite action games ever, got no problem paying that to have it on PS5.

I saw on social media that it'll be on PS5.

I'm hyped to see this series back. Given Platinum's recent track record, this could go bad but I'm happy Koei Tecmo is trying at least one more time and if Platinum does rediscover its magic, this will be one of the best games of the year.

I had a feeling it wasn't exclusive to Xbox. Given how that audience usually reacts to Japanese games, it needs PS5. And, frankly, Switch 2 if it can handle the game.

I hope they give an option to keep the 30th anniversary stuff. At least the sounds.

Considering the IP and the fact it was released on multiple platforms, no that number is a joke. People laughed at sales numbers for both Astro Bot and Stellar Blade, which only released on one console. They each had similar sales to DAV and neither have the legacy.
