Capcom has shared some further gameplay clips and details for Resident Evil Requiem as part of the newest Resident Evil Showcase, as it works to show off the differences between playing as Leon and Grace in the campaign. Watch the whole show above.

Overall, the livestream was very light on any meaningful announcements or details, but it did reveal a handful of all-new mechanics found in Requiem. Those are:

  • Leon can pick up enemy weapons and use them against them
  • Grace can collect blood from enemies for crafting purposes
  • A classic difficulty option has Grace use ink ribbons to save the game
  • Leon has a hatchet melee weapon he needs to repair by sharpening it
  • Some zombies will mimic the jobs and habits they had when they were alive

The showcase then recapped the Porsche collaboration that provides Leon's car for the game, and then there's another one with the Hamilton watch company, allowing you to buy a piece themed after either Leon or Grace. We then saw more from the bonus items included in the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem.

With no proper announcements to speak of, this was a very low-key Resident Evil Showcase designed entirely to push more Requiem gameplay. The game's out on 27th February 2026, and it looks like Capcom is sticking to its guns of not releasing a demo. There was no mention of one during the livestream.
