Re: Saints Row Team Thrown Under the Bus: 'They Didn't Know What They Were Building'

@Dalamar73
The one thing I'll be fair to the devs on, is that I don't think there was a large desire from anybody to see Saints Row return so they were basically in a no-win situation. The first two games are a couple of my favorite from the 360/PS3 era but 3 and 4 soured things enough that most people had moved on. Factor in that there were far better games to fill that open-world niche and it would've been cool to see Volition try and focus on something else. Instead, they bring SR back and, foolishly, decide to take it in a direction nobody was asking for and this is the end result. I have empathy, hate to see people lose their jobs, but the fact none of the veterans at that studio stepped in and said 'hey guys, maybe what we're doing, especially with this story, is a bad idea' pretty much sealed Volition's fate.

Re: Silent Hill F's Content Warning Demands a Strong Stomach

I'd rather the trigger warning than toned-down content. I read the ESRB description and it sounds like it'll be a Silent Hill game, but I'm still not completely sold. Need to see more, the series had been dormant for a long time until last year's free game and the SH 2 remake and the games on PS3/X360 were mediocre at best.

Re: Reaction: The PS5 Discourse Around State of Plays Is Becoming Draining

A company can show as many games as it wants in whatever type of format it wants. What it can't do is force people to be excited about what they see and those who aren't interested have every right to say so, no matter what people who write for websites or fans of the company think. I'm a PlayStation guy more than Xbox or Nintendo but this State of Play, outside of a game or two, was entirely meh. Not going to apologize for feeling that way.

Still going through Ninja Gaiden II Black on PS5. Haven't gotten to play it as much as I'd like but what I have played has been awesome so far. Wouldn't say it's the 'definitive' version of NG II, still think that title goes to the 2008 original, but any version of this game is still upper echelon of the action genre.
