@lazarus11 I don't know if it's racist as much as ideologist. I don't think these publications care who makes the game as much as are they making a game that makes niche statements about culture for the select few yelling the loudest.
@Dogbreath The average person would never notice a 60 to 40 frame rate drop periodically. It's just internet chatter for people who want something to yell about. Unless you are hardcore into performance and constantly check to see what's happening, 90% of gamers won't ever really notice.
@lazarus11 The agenda isn't against Eastern devs as much as that they don't want to pack their games with slanted politics and preachy ideologies. So any game that doesn't have a story centered around those two things will only ever get a 6 or 7 from the main publications right now.
@Gaia093 I don't think the launch has actually been as bad as the internet likes to pretend it is. Millions of people have been playing since day 1. Patches will definitely make the experience better. But it's not as if this game was any kind of unplayable.
@Ralizah they really are worth that and more given how much entertainment time you get out of them. No one wants to pay that for them. I don’t either. But the value is absolutely still there.
@KoopaTheGamer the irony though, right? Son, we can’t afford a $1000 console but here’s a $1000 phone to game on. Phones are such a misdirect because the price is buried in the phone bill.
I don’t buy for 1 second they will hit $1000. That would be a death sentence. This is all just hype to sell the current gen console. PS6 is still 2-3 years away, if that. Anyone who thinks the PS6 is coming out next year for 1k probably believed in Highguard’s multi-year plan too, lol.
@Jedihillis What in entertainment isn't now? No regular person can go to sports anymore. Even streaming is out of control when you think about how many different platforms you want content from.
I got pulled into this game as a GoW fan but it’s very mediocre. Had it been even $10 more I would have definitely passed outright. But the game other than the art style and GoW theme is very boring. Combat is horrible.
There is too much surrounding this game to not be a wait and see for me. Publications giving it a low score while being the same publications that gave other games a higher score that literally were shut down before a year was up. This one is too muddy one way or the other to not wait and see more footage and discussion about it. I hope it actually is better than some are trying to suggest it all of a sudden is not. People have weird allegiances to games and studios that I feel is seeping through here.
Good news is there is no reason to buy a game day 1. This looks promising but it's still hard to tell how good it looks from a YouTube video. I don't mind waiting a few more days post launch for real reviews.
This gives me hesitation as a base PS5 user. I will wait for heavy reviews for this. I love the look and everything happening with this game. But I am not buying $70 games that don't run on a base PS5 well anymore.
@TrollOfWar Thing is, Wolverine will move consoles, and then players who feel like a game of that caliber are worth buying a console for, will suddenly remember some of the "lesser" titles also still exist. So while some games might not move a console themselves, there are enough games that do that even the games that don't benefit in the long run.

@UltimateOtaku91 I knew it would be worth skipping live when I saw Xbox in the name of the event.

Finishing the god awful Sons of Sparta.
Re: The Best Theme Park Sim Returns with RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, Out Now on PS5
I would be curious to know what controls are like. If they are intuitive then this is a must.

@Steeleye25 Lol! Yeah, companies weren't greedy before Trump.
Re: Sony Announces Gigantic PS5 Price Increases, Effective from April 2026
@freddquadros The profits in the gaming industry keep going up though. So people are still buying it.

Re: PS5 Spin-Off God of War: Sons of Sparta Has Been a Big Hit for Sony
@Afroducc I felt the same. Other than the GoW theme and art style, this game is beyond average.
Re: PS5 Spin-Off God of War: Sons of Sparta Has Been a Big Hit for Sony
@Oram77 basically if you stripped the GoW name from this, no one would praise it for anything. It’s painfully average.

@gevalim You mean from the company that scored Concord an 8/10, lol? Yeah I would say getting a low score from IGN is a badge of honor now.
