I want remakes, not emulations.

I still don’t know how I feel about this game. 12 hours in and still making my way through some of the worst quests I’ve ever played in a game. Makes me think AI should take some peoples jobs because if this was created by a human you could have fooled me.

Struggling through NTE to see if it gets any better. Also thought about starting Wuchang. Also need to power through Red Dead before it leaves PS+ so that might get a start too.

I love how physical collectors still think they are a force to be reckoned with, lol.

@Nei I don’t understand where you and some others get off criticizing trophies so much? I feel like you just wish you had the time to do them so it’s more of a cope. If trophies didn’t mean anything to a lot of people, they wouldn’t be a thing Sony pushes. They do actually have value, for the sake of any value that can be derived from video games, so talking down about them just makes you seem more petty like beating a Fromsoft game has any more “value” than earning a trophy in a different game does. They’re both meaningless in the grand scheme, but they satisfy who they are intended to in the interim.

@Jay767 the only thing great about Marathon is its technical prowess which was literally just ripped from Destiny. It’s being impressed the creators of Destiny could make a one off mode called Marathon, lol.

The irony is everything they laid out in this last TWAB sounds like the game we all wanted a year ago. Sounds less grindy, less challenging, no portal. Like it or not this game always thrived when it was less hardcore. Don’t really know why the last attempt was to make it more hardcore than ever? As a 10 year player, I’m looking forward to playing in June one last time to see the updates and then it will truly be a distant memory. I also don’t believe Bungie has anything coming in the future. I think Marathon will shut down before the end of the year, Sony will erase the Bungie name and just sparse out the remaining talent to other studios. What a failed acquisition for Sony. It’s worse than even Concord at this point.

I mean, telling people GTA6 launches in November is the entire marketing campaign. They are probably the one game that could just tell us when the game is launching and let the internet just market it for free.

I mean, if there’s no Destiny 3, and they’re barely making Destiny 2 content, and what we got from Marathon was it… like yeah I’d expect half the studio to be laid off. What would they even be working on right now? Anyone who knows this companies history knows this company should would have went bankrupt 3 times at this point. MS saved them, the Activision, and now Sony. There’s no one left to give this colossal mess of a company another bail out. They really shouldn’t have even survived as long as they have.

If Marathon is a 9/10, and Crimson Deseret is a 6/10, then this game has to be a -4/10...

@AI-Generation nintendo is a completely different demographic and anyone into gaming isn’t going to chose them first. People were complaining that God War and Pragmata were dad games. 90% of nintendos library are dad games.

What's remarkable is how much air time this very average game with below average sales gets if nothing else.

I signed up just for kicks. I expect this to be the literal Concord 3 if you don't think Marathon is that already.

If you're a gamer first, this is not the doomsday so many want to believe. Even if Sony doesn't deliver anything good, so what? People act like other companies aren't still producing banger games. I mean you could eat for months on end from just Capcom alone. Do I want to see Sony return to form with better games? Hell yeah. Do I think it's some kind of make or break? Absolutely not. No PS player is going anywhere regardless.

@INeedGoodGraphics most people don’t realize that regular people, not internet chuds, are no where near the ceiling of what they’ll pay for streaming services. All of them are still an incredible deal all things considered. That’s why they can keep going up and the subs never go down.

Do you know how many comments I see from people here who claim they never buy games day 1 either? Like these boards and places like Twitter, it’s just a bunch of people who never spend money on anything anyways. So I would take the poll with a grain of salt. The vast majority of people who actually spend money don’t sit and take stupid polls. And that’s the demographic Sony is after. Not part time baristas that live on the internet.

I put a few hours into this and it's entertaining enough to pass time when you don't want to play a real game but calling this GTA inspired just because it's in an open world city and you can drive a car was wildly misleading. I haven't bee able to kill a single civilian yet.

I don't know why anyone wants to play remasters of these old games. They still play like ass but just in 4k and 60FPS for a small price. What a goofy demographic. I will wait for a remake.

I’ll try it out but with how many other games there are ahead of it it seems like this won’t be plated anytime soon whether I liked it or not. Too much to choose from now days.

What Xbox fans don’t realize is their exclusives don’t move consoles, lol. Which means less people buy the games too. Which means studios produce less and get shut down easier. The reason exclusivity works for Sony and Nintendo is because they actually produce games worth butting the console for. Maybe that should be the top voted thing. MS actually making games worth buying the console for again first.

Where is the option to not care? I don’t think it helps or hurts Sony in a meaningful way no matter what they decide to do.

Why are people talking like a third trailer is going to make or break the game?

I am excited to play this game but it does not seem like a $70 title so I will wait it out.

Killzone, Twisted Metal and Jet Motto. And all of those could actually function as live service games.

GTA 4 was peak.

Never played either so if they were modernized I would def give em a go. Gives me hope that when Guerrilla Games live service slop fails next Sony might force them to remake the Killzone series.

@4fold brother it’s a mouse game. Paying $400 dollars to play a $30 mouse game in its “peak” form is delusional.

If you create a game with actual purpose and your trophy list happens to just be easy, that’s perfectly fine. It’s the games that make the game solely for cheap trophies.

I imagine Sony have the money to keep pulling the slot machine lever to see if they can win big. They are basically just going to the casino, pulling a lever, and hoping they have the next big win. That is literally the live service market in a nutshell. The top 10 games make all the money while the other 99.9% of tries never even make their money back.

I think for the price you still can’t beat it even if all the games, minus RD2, are pretty mediocre.

I will play Lego Batman but not for $70.

Just finished DMC season 2 so I think I’m going to hop into DMC 4 now.

None of this is going to save sales. This was just a poor concept and execution for story and characters. It's hard to sell people a $70 game that only does gameplay good.
