Unfortunately named industry sneak NatetheHate2 – who’s notoriously leaked a number of industry secrets, including most recently the existence of Nintendo’s Ocarina of Time remake – says Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is coming in 2027.
This would round out an incredible year for PS5, which is also getting God of War Laufey on 16th February and Until Dawn 2 at some point in 2027.
While we haven’t seen much of the new Naughty Dog game, there’s been strong speculation of a release date next year for some time.

I wouldn’t read much into the lack of marketing personally: Sony tends to only market one or two of its titles at a time. It’s only in the last few months that we’ve really started to see more of Marvel’s Wolverine, ahead of its 15th September release date.
PlayStation tends to end generations strong: you may recall the last year of the PS4 saw it release The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima in quick succession. I’m expecting a similarly strong conclusion to the PS5 – assuming the PS6 is still planned for release next year.
Either way, I imagine we’ll see more of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet later this year, perhaps in an upcoming State of Play or at The Game Awards in December. That’ll be something to look forward to.
