Hasn't the general public been testing games for most companies for like 5+ years now already?

I swear I picked up this game for less than $20 not too long ago but when I get around to actually playing it who knows. It looks cool.

They would have to completely stop making games for me to ever have time to even contemplate trying these. And that would still take another decade after finishing the backlog first.

Just making a profit doesn't mean as much anymore. It's whether it makes ENOUGH profit.

Anything from Capcom or Square please. Outside of Wolverine, I don’t have much faith in anything Sony coming up soon. That Horizon game won’t even last a month. I guess it’ll be the Concord 3 that some don’t believe Marathon is but really just Concord 4 for most.

Won’t be preordering but if everything checks out in the first few days I’ll pick it up quickly. I’m sorry but I don’t care what studio you are preordering will never be a thing for me ever again.

RE9 went on sale so that and maybe NTE.

It figures I spent the last few months saying how great of a deal PS+ was just for them to prove me wrong, lol. I still think it’s a bargain though even with some absolute ass months thrown in.

The best part to me is how little Sony and Nintendo care or even pay attention to Xbox as they flop around like a fish out of water for the last 5 years. MS reminds me of a kid who was kind of cool in high school, but then everyone else eventually moved on, but since that was their peak they now just do ridiculous stuff to see if they can get anyone to notice them again. We do, but it’s putting our heads down in embarrassment.

@SleepyNick And you think just avoiding this place will preserve that? Like you will need to stay off the internet completely to avoid "spoilers" which I think is a big stretch to consider seeing supposed game lineups a "spoiler". There is no official list of what's going to be there so nothing is technically spoiled.

Looking back as a former Destiny player who sees Bungie basically folding, it seems Activision did have the right strategy after all. Just release a new boxed product every couple of years with a new number. No matter how bland CoD is every couple years, it still sells multiple millions of copies. Destiny probs ,y should have just done the same thing.

Is "take a photo of your face for age estimation" actually a thing? How is an estimation a verification?

I mean I could make that pitch in 30 seconds to Capcom. "Hey, do you guys want an easy way to make a bunch more money? Green light Pragmta 2." Done.

If you can't tell the difference between the boy and the girl then why even have both?

Real talk. The single player mode got really boring really fast.

I like how articles keep claiming AI is attracting strong resistance while only showing Reddit/Twitter meltdowns. You do realize 90% of Twitter aren't even real people, right? AI is in every company across the globe right now. There is no real world resistance to it. Anyone with an actual career can tell you we are all using AI whether we want to or not.

@wildcat_kickz oof. This comment won’t age well. This game won’t make it to the end of the year. Concord just means a game that no one wanted, that cost multiple hundred millions to make, launched to abysmal numbers, didn’t make any money, and then was shut down later. Marathon is right on that timeline. It won’t make it past this year. It doesn’t make anyone a hater to just point out to the glazers what the reality of the situation is.

But this is a 9/10 game. Why does no one want to play a 9/10 game?

@Mr_B021 Brother between 83-85% of ps game sales are digital. They aren't going to make it cheaper where all their customers are buying games at, lol.

This is one of those games I root for and enjoy watching each content update, but just can't get myself to sit down and invest in this game because it seems way too far ahead now. But it's cool to see them continue to produce free content for those that stay up to date.

Cautiously optimistic. These types of games are always hit or miss.

When you start trying to write stories talking about these kind of numbers, you know the game failed commercially. I will give it a go when they put it on Plus.

Hope Yotie is under $50. I would like to play it but I am not spending $70 on a glorified DLC.

@INeedGoodGraphics There is actually a lot of fighting on this front to push us into a world where you can resell digital. Will it ever get here? Who knows. But it's nice to think about.

Sounds perfect to play on the PS+ catalog in a few years.

Wow. You mean a bunch of people who live their life on the internet are upset one of their streaming services went up slightly and rage like it’s the end of the world? Shocker. These are all the same people who never buy games day 1 either and then get upset studios are shut down and devs are fired because they won’t buy games that aren’t on sale for 90% off. There’s no argument PS+ isn’t truly valuable. You’re just asking a bunch of people who would never agree with a price hike no matter what the circumstances might be.

Unless it was a full blown remake I wouldn't touch it. Playing old games has fooled me too many times. It’s nostalgia tricking a lot of people into thinking it looks and plays like you remember and then realizing there’s a reason it was left in the past for those memories. Full remake and I’m in though.

I love ads. I usually fast forward through the boring movie or tv show part just to get to the ads.

Is there actually real gameplay in this?

I want remakes, not emulations.

I still don’t know how I feel about this game. 12 hours in and still making my way through some of the worst quests I’ve ever played in a game. Makes me think AI should take some peoples jobs because if this was created by a human you could have fooled me.

Struggling through NTE to see if it gets any better. Also thought about starting Wuchang. Also need to power through Red Dead before it leaves PS+ so that might get a start too.

I love how physical collectors still think they are a force to be reckoned with, lol.

@Nei I don’t understand where you and some others get off criticizing trophies so much? I feel like you just wish you had the time to do them so it’s more of a cope. If trophies didn’t mean anything to a lot of people, they wouldn’t be a thing Sony pushes. They do actually have value, for the sake of any value that can be derived from video games, so talking down about them just makes you seem more petty like beating a Fromsoft game has any more “value” than earning a trophy in a different game does. They’re both meaningless in the grand scheme, but they satisfy who they are intended to in the interim.
