I imagine the same players who can't wait for something to be finished are the same players who complain when games and content get released too quick because it's unfinished, lol.

@lacerz It's not a live service game. Just because something has multiplayer does not make it live service.

Control didn't age well. The story, characters and vibe were all really good. But damn that gameplay is bad. I made it through chapter 7 before I just turned on god mode and steam rolled through the rest to get to the end of the story.

@Balaam_ wishlisting is the most pointless metric. You see something new and wishlist it to keep an eye on it and it costs absolutely nothing to do. It easily sits there for months before the wishlist is cleaned up periodically. I find it ironic that people will claim player numbers don't mean that much when it doesn't favor a game, but somehow wishlist numbers do because they are high enough to claim it.

Fingers crossed it just comes sooner than expected but I’ll wait regardless.

@Oram77 because they think she’s going to bring all the exclusives back. Halo, Forza, Bethesda… these heavy hitters are going to keep coming to PlayStation. Games like Hellblade or Indiana Jones or some of these smaller games that even if they made some money, but didn’t really push anything, I think are what might come back. You don’t sell 5 million copies of Forza and then go nah let’s make it exclusive again, lol.

I played the demo a while ago and thought it was kind of cool.

Honestly these don't interest me anyone. It won't make the games come out any sooner. Whatever they show is cool with me.

@Mintie we are using GenAI without firing people. Everyone just forgot that game company layoffs have always been common even before AI. It's just the modern day automatic assembly line. The people at the bottom either learn to evolve or get left behind. It's literally no different now through every evolution throughout history.

Unless the new trailer says Rockstar moved up the release date then who cares? You still can’t play it yet. GTA fans seem to be the only people worse than Taylor Swift fans. At least her fans only act like 13 year old girls because they actually are.

I thought both games were amazing. Didn't care for the "souls-slop" formula of F though. I hope they forgo that in the future. I would have loved to play Townfall but I have no desire to play this kind of game in first person. If they ever add a third person option I will play it right away.

All this game has is a really polished look. And I think they thought that would command a $70 price tag.

I imagine this has less to do with trying to sell people Xbox's with exclusivity and more about whether ports make sense just due to costs and what they make back/headache of porting games. Why spend a bunch of money to port games is they just break even or don't really sell millions of copies? I imagine that is what Xbox is reevaluating. Games like Forza and Halo won't stop coming. They make way too much money to. And no one bought Xbox's when they were exclusive. So I imagine we won't see smaller end games get as many ports. Hellblade 2 is a great example. $5 million is sales is noting. They are looking for 5 million units sold. Expect Forza, not Hellblade to continue with ports.

Nice. I will fire up Starwars, but I fear I won't be able to finish it out boredom. But I will give it a go. Flintlock looks worth trying for free. Never played Red Dead Redemption 2, but I don't know if I want a 100 hour games to play.This is a solid list for the monthly price of the sub though.

@Smackosynthesis there's a difference between updating a game and a game being incomplete. You can certainly wait until it has most of the updates and your sale. You just don't sound as edgy as you think you do calling the game incomplete and telling everyone you're waiting for a sale.

Here’s how Sony stays successful. Literally don’t do anything Xbox does. They have the luxury of a Trillion dollar company in MS that can just pay for them to continue to fail.

@Northern_munkey I work in advertising and we are all using AI. Using AI to save myself an hour of work extending an image is not making or breaking creativity. The people crying the loudest about AI simply don’t even know how it’s actually being used and how most artists and others actually do like its uses.

Anyone in the creative industry already knows this is in every company whether they post about it or not.

Bungie have to be looking at this with a thankfulness that Marathon will at least outlast it.

All I ever buy is digital. I can count on both hands the actual number of games I’ve ever played though more than once. So the idea that I need a physical version just in case it becomes inaccessible, like that ever really happens, is so foreign to me.
