@Dalamar you have to remember the vast majority of people you’ll encounter on internet comment boards have never had a real job in their life and simply don’t understand how this all works. They’ve just been told to freak out about AI so they do. There are certainly issues that need to be worked out, but the way people here talk clearly shows they’re either unemployed or work at places like Starbucks.

@FlipFlopp67 marathon is just so amazing that no one wants to play it, lol. Even hardcore players and content creators are quitting it. Like I’m sorry but a game with no audience is not amazing. A game is more than just technical specialty.

@dskatter it’s because all the people actually responsible for the best games haven’t worked there for years now. People and Bungie will point to some devs still being there since their glory days. But the core people with the vision and direction have/are not. So it’s not really the Bungie that made Halo or even Destiny currently. It’s why almost no one has faith they will survive through this.

@TrollOfWar basically you could think of it like a phone bill. You’ll pay a monthly hardware cost + the service for a set price for 2 years hopefully at 0% interest like a phone.

@cainhurst94 it’s because standard growth no longer “feels” like prosperity in the west. Based on actual data, the economy is not that bad. Based on feeling and experience, people think this is the end. Luckily data is actual truth and wins out in the end. The 2020’s have definitely not been what everyone thought they would be. But it’s far from the worst time even in the modern era.

I’m excited to play this game but not $70 excited so I’ll wait a while for a small sale.

Without the arcade guns this game is pointless.

I don’t think people dislike big games with meaning. No one complained about Elden Ring or Crimson Desert size because everywhere you went felt meaningful and not just large empty space. So if you’re going to make a big game, all the areas you make better matter. Or you should reduce it down to the actual size it should be.

@Jackthelad93 day 1 sales have always been a metric, lol. You can absolutely say that. My guess is you just don’t want it said when the outcome doesn’t match what you want it to. It Sony came out and said Saros did 1 million copies in a day, you’d be retweeting how well the day 1 numbers were.

@thechetearly this is basically saying Saros is not strong enough to get my money when I have to choose. You’re basically admitting the game isn’t that good without saying it outright.

It’s cute you think Sony won’t have expectations higher than just breaking even or doing kinda well, lol. Just because the game could make back its budget or do just ok is not an expectation any company has. This game will underperform in Sony’s eyes given the current outlook because I don’t think this game is getting strong publicity right now either.

The irony is he is telling people that influencers shape the way you think like he isn't an influencer shaping the way you think with his own comments. That's why this line of reasoning doesn't work. Everyone is shaped by everything. You are not a individualistic as you want to believe.

I have thought about putting this on while I wait for Forza 6. But I also don't really want to be burned out of racing when that drops. So this is probably still in the hard pass category.

After playing through Control I have moved Resonant to the wait and see list now. Control is incredibly boring. FF7 3 would be my most hopeful show. Don't really care about another GTA trailer because it's not going to sway anyone one way or the other. Tomb Raider has me worried that it will be generic. I don't think we see anything from Intergalactic because I think that game is going through a rewrite for how poorly it showed the first time. Don't think I will bother with the show and just wait for the trailers of everything o YT.

@LifeGirl I am pretty sure Sony told them to take it back in house and make it something that would actually appeal to the masses given they spend $250+ million on ND games.

As someone who doesn't spend much of their life on the internet leaks mean almost nothing to me because I don't spend my life on the internet. It's amazing how simple the solution is to this problem.

Maybe part of the reason I liked this game so much was because I had pretty low expectations for it, feeling like it could have easily just been another generic action game. But this is definitely the front runner for GotY in my opinion. I think it being a brand new IP is what puts it ahead of RE9 for me.

My favorite thing about these articles is how they help to promote and sell more copies than not, lol.

I mean, not yet. I would give this is a try if it makes it long enough to come to PS+. I don't think it will though.

@Oram77 that number is very inflated though because it includes the bundled PS5 version during the time everyone was buying any PlayStation they could get their hands on.

I don't understand how GTA6 would set the new price at $80? If companies don't give you a game on the level of GTA6, then no one is going to pay $80 for your game. So I hope your game is a 10 year, billion dollar game if you think that just because GTA6 can command $80 or more, that yours could too...

Looking forward to playing this but not at full price.

I was initially hyped for this, then saw some videos and thought it might be ass, but then saw some newer videos and now hyped for it again. It’s been a wild ride.

Will never be sad to see a multiplayer or live service game die before it even comes out — or after.

@Northern_munkey it really just boils down to Pro owners want to feel justified in their upgrade and base users don't want to feel like they have been left behind. The reality is it's somewhere in the middle. If you really pay attention to performance and want to always be up to date, the purchase is warranted. But if you just game like a casual person, which would be most people, you really are never going to notice the difference.

I don't care if I have to delete everything else off my console. Give it to me.

@Sanquine this might be the goofiest comment on here, lol. Buy a game you know is mediocre to see if it's actually mediocre. It is why reviews and discourse about video games exist. To not have to waste money.

I am playing through Control right now because it's leaving PS+ soon and other than the environmental design and the somewhat intriguing story, the game play is very flat for me.

Pragmata no question. I almost wish/hope GTA 6 gets pushed again just because I think GOTY would be really interesting this year if that didn't come out.

@LifeGirl brother there were 20,000 games released in 2025 — the most in any year ever. Like, do you expect everyone to just spend thousands of dollars a month on games to support every single company out there? 2025 was the biggest profit in video games ever too. There is no crash just because articles highlight layoffs and studio closings. There’s no evidence to suggest we are anywhere near a “crash”.

Never thought PSVR would last. It’s the same reason no one went to 3D movies enough. No one wants something on their head or face when they want to watch something.

Almost bought Nine Sols a few times so glad I didn’t. Wuchang looks interesting too. I think it’s a better month than a lot of others.
