Favourite FF and deffo in top 3 games for me. The story still hits me after all this time. Would love to get that vinyl soundtrack but it will probably cost an arm and a leg to import it.
I really liked the artstyle of the game, it it is a bit less predatory than other gachas with its systems, but once I got the platinum I uninstalled it and didn't go back. HSR takes most of my F2P time. Maybe I'll go back for this patch.
@Fluberuper Don't want to talk out of my butt, but I think the Stelle version of the trailblazer seems to be the most popular. They may go with that one. She also appears the most in the trailer, you see the male version only for a moment at the end.
Been following this since it got announced, Owlcat do really excellent CRPGs, I'm looking forward to their first 3rd person RPG. That 2027 release date sucks a bit though.
This is insane to read. You could already read some of the crazy expectations put on OWL in Jason's book about Blizzard. Blizzard thought they were going to sell teams like they were football teams and had a lot of billionaires that don't give two-***** about games invest into it, and then it failed to provide the profits people were expecting. It was sad to see Jeff leave, he was a great game director (also for WoW) but this couldn't be good for him and his health.
It's called a "SURVIVAL HORROR" game. Makes absolutely no sense for it to not be scary. Would be the same of having a first person shooter without the shooting, a driving simulation game without the driving, etc.
"At launch" I'm sorry mate, but this stinks to high heaven. I really want the game to be good, but it wouldn't hurt to just show it running on consoles before the release, IF the game runs as well as they say.
"By the end, the playtime split feels much closer to two-thirds as Leon and one-third as Grace."
This is a bummer I was afraid that having the 2 very different styles was going to be jarring and it kinda sucks to read that most of the game is just an action shooter and not a survival horror.
Asha Sharma isn't just coming from an AI department. CoreAI is Microsoft's Development Tools section that was renamed, you know...before all the doom and gloom
He already made a crappy show about a game that I love, why not another? All that's left is MGS3.
@species What's a "normie"? Someone that doesn't play D&D? I don't, but I love the Forgotten Realms and I loved BG3 for it's story and characters. Gameplay was fine, but Divinity 2 had a better gameplay and it didn't use any D&D rules.
@get2sammyb I do think it's a neat art-style, but not for Horizon. I actually prefer the NCSoft one compared to this, at least it looks like an Horizon game.
I just want them to make Pillars 3, but it seems that's not gonna happen, this studio seems destined to keep churning "bethesda-like" RPGS for better or worse
I really liked the combat and I have to say that the artstyle is quite amazing (kinda wish we got a proper JRPG with these looks), but holy crap the story is bad. I'll keep going through it until I get all the trophies and then I'll probably stop. So far the only of these games that managed to keep me going back was Honkai Star Rail.
Just like the thread in Resetera (where this article was pulled from) you missed the whole context of the tweets by leaving out the rest of the message that he posted.
The only one I played constantly was Honkai Star Rail because the story was actually quite fun the first couple of areas, but I'm not much into the gacha aspect. That said, holy crap the art style looks so good on this game.
It's so odd that this is the one game where they drew the line about simultaneous releases. I think it may end up hurting them in the long run, since GTA6 is going to hog most people's attention
@tselliot Larian was always quite transparent on how they develop their games, and it's actually quite refreshing, I wish a lot more studios were like them. The probably is that the people that have gaming as a hobby are generally not the most well adjusted kind of people, and then you get situations like this.
Honest question, does Limited Run Games have dirt on a lot of the CEOs of these companies? How the heck do they keep getting these deals when people keep complaining about their services?!
The episodic release worked because you were getting 2 episodes every week for 4 weeks, you didn't have to wait months or even up to 1 year like you did with old Telltale games and LiS games.
The 2 major things that made me stop playing was the introduction of Eververse and later the "You had to be there" mentality that causes story to disappear basically making you buy those season passes for 10€ due to FOMO.
I'm really looking forward to this one. It's made by ex-Bioware vets, looks a looot like ME and the lore so far has been pretty cool. I read the Archimedes Engine and it was pretty dope.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on Assassin's Creed: Black Flag's PS5 Remake?
Favourite AC but due to Ubisoft's insistence in not putting the games on disk, I'll only buy a second hand copy like I've done with Shadows.

Re: Metro 2039 Goes Back to Its Roots for Series' Darkest Game Yet, Out on PS5 This Winter
It's really dope that it is written together with Dmitry Glukhovsk.
The other games were really good, looking forward to this one.
Re: Hades 2 (PS5) - Godlike Sequel Is Pure Power Fantasy
It's an amazing game. I put some many hours on Steam. I'll probably double-dip if there's a physical edition for the PS5

That watercolour painting they have in the post looks amazing.

I don't know the person, but that track is really good. It really has the SH vibe.

Re: Disco Elysium's Controversial Successor Commits to 2026 Release on PS5
Played the demo on steam and it was nice, seemed like an evolution on Disco Elysium along with it's "so far up it's ass" writing and everything.
Re: Rumour: Anticipated PS5 Sequel Lords of the Fallen 2 Locked for August Release
I liked the first game but only after the huge rework they did. I'll maybe play this one if I can get it for 10€
Re: Persona 6 Reveal Rumours Return, and Mega Xbox Showcase Is the Catalyst
It won't be announced before P4R gets released, you can be sure of that.
Re: Sony Announces Gigantic PS5 Price Increases, Effective from April 2026
@get2sammyb And by focusing on the install base it means raising PSN prices and probably game prices to 90€.

@Max_the_German I agree, it was one of the reasons that made me bounce of from that game.

I like the artstyle, but not for Horizon. I'm out.
I am interested in trying Steel Frontiers though.
Re: The Adventures of Elliot Release Date Locked in for 18th June on PS5
The demo for this game was super cute and fun, gave me the feeling of old school zelda games.

Re: Fatal Frame 2's PS5 Remake Shaping Up to Be a 2026 Horror Standout
Cannot wait for this. The Project Zero games are very cool survival horrors, especially Crimson Butterfly and The Tormented.
Re: Yes, RPG Arknights: Endfield Is Absolutely Looking Like PS5's Next Big Gacha Hit
The only one I played constantly was Honkai Star Rail because the story was actually quite fun the first couple of areas, but I'm not much into the gacha aspect.
