The Witcher 4 PS5

CD Projekt RED won't be bringing a new trailer for The Witcher 4 or any fresh piece of footage to The Game Awards next month, after it first debuted the new RPG at the show last year.

CEO Michał Nowakowski shared the news in a social media post, where he thanked everyone who voted for The Witcher 4 to be a nominee in the show's Most Anticipated Game category, alongside GTA 6, Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, and Marvel's Wolverine.

Nowakowski said, having thanked everyone for their votes and support: "We won’t be bringing any new content to TGA this year, but we’re, as always, excited to watch the show and celebrate this amazing industry’s great night alongside all of you."

The Witcher 4 debuted during last year's show in a surprise trailer that made Ciri the focus of the fourth entry. Since then, the first bits of gameplay for the title were revealed via an Unreal Engine 5 tech demo. On PS5, it was running at 60 frames-per-second with ray tracing enabled. It won't be releasing in 2026, though, which may be why the studio wants to wait before showing the RPG again.

As for what will be at the show in December, sci-fi RPG Exodus will have a new trailer. You can learn more about timings and what to expect in our When Is The Game Awards 2025 guide.

Here's all CD Projekt RED has shared about The Witcher 4 so far:

The Witcher 4 is a single-player, open-world RPG from CD PROJEKT RED. At the start of a new saga, players take on the role of Ciri, a professional monster slayer, and embark on a journey through a brutal dark-fantasy world. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it aims to be the most immersive and ambitious open-world Witcher game to date.
