Ghost of Yotei will feature an optional Japanese dub — with full lip-syncing — at launch, developer Sucker Punch has confirmed.
You may remember that with Ghost of Tsushima, the Japanese voicework was not lip-synced to the character models until the Director's Cut released on PS5. The studio caught a bit of flak for this, and so it's nice to see that the setting's ready to rock on release.
Much like its predecessor, Ghost of Yotei is a tribute to all things samurai cinema, and so plenty of fans will feel it's only right to dive in with Japanese voice acting (alongside subtitles in your chosen language).
For what it's worth, we've played Tsushima in both English and Japanese, and both dubs are fantastic. Here's hoping that Yotei's voicework is of a similar quality.
